Have been taking my dog here since I got him last year from the shelter (since June 2022). We always had a pleasant experience and my dog loved his groomer but recently (September 2023) I noticed he wasn’t very excited for his monthly bath and wouldn’t want to enter anymore which at the time I didn’t think much of it because he still came out his normal self and very well groomed. However, after his last bath on Saturday (10/21) he came back with his tail injured, missing hair, and very submissive (he immediately went to his crate and did not come out until dinner time, not like him at all as he’s always very energetic and happy before and after baths. I don’t know what happened but I don’t think I’ll be back here anymore unless I get some sort of explanation on what happened. I had signed up for Petco Vital Care Premier for the grooming aspect but now I think I’ll just bathe him at home.

I very rarely do reviews, but I feel this one is needed. I wish I could give a great review but sadly not possible. The customer service by the groomer that was at the counter when I got there at 8:30 this morning was so poor and unfortunate, that I will not use Petco grooming again. It seemed that she intentionally chose to barely acknowledged me and my dog as a gentleman waiting behind me got the loveliest treatment by this groomer as I was waiting. She was very kind to both him and his dog, while I was standing there for 15 minutes waiting for my groomer to arrive. My dog was nervous and shaking like a leaf, as was the dog behind us. She greeted that dog, and was very kind and comforting to the dog and the man with the dog, but for some reason she did not extend that kindness to us. She was the groomer for that dog, so I understand that there was a familiarity, however, it should not matter whether she’s my dog groomer or not. She works for the grooming department, so she should be kind to everyone that walks in the door and is paying for a service . Especially since I standing there due to the groomer assigned to me being late. It’s very unfortunate as we’ve been coming here for years and the groomer we had before was just so lovely to everyone that walked in the door. I highly recommend that Petco Grooming not only give more training on customer service, but kindness in general. It’s a big deal to leave our animals in the care of someone else and the last thing people need when they go in there is to feel like their pet does not matter. I am more bothered by the woman’s attitude towards me and my pup in the beginning than I was with the groomer that showed up 15 min late to my VIP appointment with what can barely qualify as an apology and iced coffee in hand. The whole experience was just very unprofessional.I will say thank you to the nice gentleman that came out to do the paperwork and acknowledged us as we waited. He did not know where our groomer was, but did his best to get us started.

Always have such a great and positive experience at the groomers in Glendale. They are so attentive to my dads dog, leave him looking amazing and this time even he was excited with his own bandana.

When I picked up my dog, he was still wet. I'm not the one to complain, but I will ask the staff to make sure my pet is dried up better next time.

Thumbs up for Petco grooming! My Maltese got the perfect cut I wanted, and they worked super fast. Jessie came out looking great, with no scratches – clearly, they treated her gently. Big thanks for taking care of my fur baby!

I took my puppy for her first grooming + haircut appointment today. I'm disappointed to say that she looks identical to when I dropped her off: her fur is not trimmed, her nails aren't trimmed, her teeth aren't brushed. They made me pay before I could even see her to take her home, and if I had known she's be returned to me with just a simple bath, I would not have paid the full amount. Although the groomer was very friendly, I'm incredibly disappointed in the amount of money I spent. I'll now need to go to another groomer to spend more money to get what I came for. Do not recommend.

He went in with peanut butter in his beard, and he came out with peanut butter in his beard. Nice people; subpar bath results (and we even paid for the upgraded package. Sigh.)

Bree was so attentive with my pup, Oliver. She made sure his first grooming experience was fun, safe & one that makes him wanting to return back to her. She kept me in the loop of how he was doing & was very communicative, professional & helpful with our first grooming experience. She was very knowledgable regarding Oliver's breed and how much hair she could actually trim in order to not harm his coat/skin. All in all, our first grooming experience was an absolute joy thanks to Bree's attentiveness. Thanks, Bree!

Groomer didn't listen to what I wanted and didn't call to confirm with me if it was okay to shave my fur baby's tail. They also shaved off her whiskers, which you shouldn't do unless advice by a vet. Just did what was easy for them. But manager made it right.

This petco is always clean and has friendly helpful staff. Bree the groomer is always amazing. She always does a wonderful job and my dog loves her. I truly recommend her.

I went to have my dog’s nails trimmed here today. When my puppy came out, only the back paws nails were trimmed. The front are still super long. And they still charged me full. They said that cause my dog was uncomfortable with the nail trim and she kept crying and didnt like it thats why they couldnt do the front paws. The first time i brought my dog there for nail trim it was superb, thats why i went again for her second. But this experience was not pleasant. Now my puppy still has sharp long front paw nails.

I called ahead to see if there was a groomer that was good with timid dogs and explained my worries. They made a recommendation for Cat who had an opening the same day so I was able to take my dog promptly and she took really good care of him.
