I just moved to this side of town and I’m unset that foodmaxx will treat there customers this way. So I went and purchased two packs of stew meat and when I opened it and pored it out to rinse it off it was all fat. Waste of money!!! It appeared to be mostly lean when I looked at it but no. The entire bottom of the pack was 95% fat. And they have their audacity to charge $15 plus some change for this Pack of meat. They are cheating their customers out of money because of the property area and the fact that people don’t really have the means to go other places to shop and that is not right. I hope the other pack isn’t this way when I open it in a few mins. The pictures That I am posting will show the quality of meat and the price they charged. This need to be reported to the city or someone who can do something about this

I found 2 big cockroaches in my bag of potatoes...Updated - March 26, 2024This marks the second occurrence of potato-related issues at this store. Initially, I discovered two roaches in my bag of potatoes, and now, on the second occasion, the potatoes were rotten. Giving it another chance after the first incident seemed reasonable, but this pattern has become unacceptable. I have decided to stop buying potatoes from this store. While other food items are satisfactory, I advise against purchasing potatoes here.I couldn't capture the two roaches incident that occurred about 2 months ago as they scurried out of the bag when I opened it. However, I can show you how terribly spoiled my potatoes were as soon as I opened them. It seems like I have the worst luck with potatoes here 🙄.

This location is in a very bad spot in Fresno and I drove in the middle of the night at 11 o’clock and showed up to find that the store was closed. It is posted at 12 o’clock closing I called and it also said 12 o’clock closing waste of time and gas with no regards to safety

GHETTO! Employees here are trash. One of the forklift drivers was cussing to himself as he was walking by me and one of the workers at self checkout were talking and telling each other misogynistic jokes and cursing. Homeless people were outside with their pitbulls which kept barking and growling at each other i thought they were gonna attack. Very unsafe and unprofessional. This place needs to go under some basic training.

Worst place to purchase meats and vegetables. Always something wrong with it. Even moments after purchasing. I bought this yesterday and today was bad. I made sure they all looked good to because its happened before but now im done buying vegetables from this store. Starting to notice some items are expired and still left on shelf

Well kept store with pretty good prices. There is a wide variety of foods available and the costumer service is good. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We almost always shop here.

Literally the only grocery store on the west side so of course it’s going to be packed but no matter how many people are in line they would only open two lines. You’ll spend more time in line than shopping.

Hello.Honestly, I don't like this location.The store Managers don't enforce anyone to check the expiration dates. They don't care about their Customers. They are just concerned with making money. I bought a organic peanut butter cup, it was stale. Today during My visit, they had expired milk in the cooler. In addition to the milk, it was full of air in the carton. Furthermore, this location prices are constantly fluctuating. The sales price on food isn't consistent and I believe taxes are charge. Pretty good selection of items, not to crowded most of the time. It can be a little challenging getting help sometimes. Prices aren't too bad . . depending on the item. For what it's worth, I shop there all the time.8-20-21 ... Going to discontinue shopping here, my last 3 visits have been disappointing. Far too many people without masks, including employees . . . !

Always clean and I love the self check out. Around 5 they get really packed and there's usually only like 2 lanes plus the self check out open which sucks sometimes but the self checkout is easier then you'd think!!

Always awkward staff members (fairly decent). Great products for great prices. Good carts with great storage space and good moveability. Good store hours. Carts usually stocked efficiently. Very clean store most times!

They have all kinds of good food, the prices are great and I feel like I'm in Costco with all the varieties of stuff to get. And I especially love that they take ebt! I don't go to fresno much, but when I do I will shop here. This one isn't in the best part of town, but the store is clean, the employees are helpful and overall, it's not bad.

I've never witness such horrible service in my life! Not exaggerating! Had 1 item as did the 3 customers using the self checkouts in front of me. All 3 machines pop up error but no one was there to reset them. After 15 minutes of them seeing us and no one coming to fix it one customer ask if anyone was planning on helping us!? Finally a worker comes and reset the machines then leaves again & all but 1 machine stopped working again. Again we have to wait on him to come back again. By then I had been next in line for 30 freaking minutes, no joke! I could not believe the workers at the checkout lines never stopped to help and the workers acted like we were bothering them. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT YOUR STORE AGAIN! Unbelievable!

The prices average about $1or more above Winco or FoodsCo. It's about a 20-45min wait just to get through the checkout. You really have to check expiration dates to make sure the products have not expired already. One time I purchased milk there that was already 3 days expired and two of my children got sick from it. I called the store and all they were going to do it replace the milk. Foodmax is lucky that I didn't hire an Atty and sued them for health and safety negligence. And finally, Foodmax advertises about getting more food for your dollar amount and great savings is a freaking joke! I dont know if its because of the fact that it's the only major grocery store for the (bad area) location and they use that factor to their raise their prices because most people cant afford to ride public transportation multiple times a month to shop at Winco or FoodsCo. There should be a law against poverty discrimination or taking advantage of low income people. I have personally discussed the prices and lack of open Checkouts to make wait times faster the cashier says the prices are higher and they cant afford more cashiers because of the theft costs. Seems to me that Obviously you should look into better security guards/personnel and devices rather than charging innocent customers.

I have been coming to this store ever since I was a kid. The store is alright. Most employees are very polite however I had an awful experience with one employee. The employee was making a huge scene over the money I was using to pay. It was very unprofessional. I gave him a 5 dollar bill that wasn't in the best condition but was still acceptable. The man laughed and waved it in the air trying trying to get some of his coworkers to look at it. He kept repeating what the heck is this before finally accepting it.

Yes it has changed and they moved all the stuff around ,I never was able to get used to how they set up the store because I cannot get down where every item is at . And I am a very frequent customer . But other then that its really good there . Just if we can have those shopping carts more accessible instead of having to walk back out to the parking lot to go get one this is constant problem

I don't know who was the person that on the phone I called and asked for a manager that person need to be fire that person was very rude talkin about don't worry about you not going to get a job here what the hell is that all about who ever that person is need you learn how to talk to customers I hope that person lose her job

They always have way less check stands open than necessary for the amount of customers waiting to check out but they don't seem to care because it's the west side of Fresno and pretty much the only place on that side of town to grocery shop.
