Over all the grocery store is a grocery store but thankfully there's more than one check out clerk lol there is also self checkout, a quality florist and deli...I wanted to make a review specifically today...So I went and got a sandwich today I must say it was beautiful! I was more than pleased in which "Dani" the amazing the sandwich clerk made my sandwich.. friendly, great communication and came out like a work of art..thank you it was delicious!Side bar: Coming from the east coast I'm so glad they started carrying boarshead® meat

I go out of my way to come to this store because of the fresh products. I like easy to cook options after work and they have a whole section of fresh food you can just pop in the microwave. They also have a wing bar that is usually stocked well.

Went in today to get some flowers that were advertised on sale, so my son could make his girlfriend a wrist corsage for winter formal. Not being able to find the sale flowers, the nice man who helped us got us set up with something comparable for the same price. Super friendly and a great help. It all worked amazing!

Great store, I'm here practically 3-4 times a week, prices are a bit higher then most stores. But definitely makes up for it in cleanliness and customer service.

I'd say close to half of the times I shop here I get overcharged for something. Then I'm embarrassed to have to go back to gripe about a couple of dollars. But if I didn't always do it, it would have added up to a significant amount of money by now.

The meat department needs to get it together and get retrained because this is a regular occurrence. They are labeled the same but one is clearly a hack job.Edit: I don’t want anything free. Just some consistency.

This store is clean and well staffed. Parking is well lit and there is plenty to go around. I am very glad to have one of these in Eureka as we only have so many places to shop. Being close to home helps as well!

I like this Safeway better than the Arcata one mostly for the bakery. But the one complaint I do have is the deli employees ignoring people when they walk up to the counter. That is very frustrating standing there waiting for any of them to even acknowledge me. Today there was plenty of staff and they saw me but chose not to say a word. When the lady finally did greet me she took her sweet time. I tried to ask the man that was just walking around if he could grab my daughter a chicken strip and he ignored me.

This Safeway has to compete with the more upscale coops and does a good job. The fruit and veggies offer good selection at a more reasonable price, and the liquor selection is first rate. The Boars Head meats offer good variety. They could do with more grab and go options for drinks and sandwiches, but overall this store is much nicer than SoCal Safeway stores.

I love Safeway, sue me. It's got good quality products for non-outesgeous prices. If we had a trader Joe's in town maybe I'd feel different but for healthy food at reasonable rates I go to Safeway. It's my safe space.

Update: Its the holiday season and you know what that means? Time to jack up the prices even more and take advantage of holiday shoppers. $7.49 for Tillamook ice cream at Safeway vs $4.38 at Wco Foods. Someone has to pay for all that fancy laminate veneered plywood used though-out the interior. Glue and formaldehyde is expensive!6 years ago: Horrible place. Overpriced. $3 for a colored pepper! $2 for one onion! Frozen Shrimp is 50% more than everywhere else. No raw tortillas, no claussen pickles or krout, no marbled rye. I constantly come here looking for items and leave in disgust because of prices. $15/lb Ribeye. Try Myrtletown Market $10/lb ribeye all the time. Cash'n'Carry has bags of onions for $5 (less than costco) and Darigold (good milk, sour cream, butter), 2lbs pre-sliced cheese for $7.

Clean and lovely to walk through. It's a bit pricey but the quality of the fruit is good. I come to Safeway for the fruit.Oh and they have the best cakes! So delicious!

Visited while in town for a dear friend’s wedding. They had everything from Avacados to ice cream, and more. I don’t know if I’ll be back, but I sure hope.

Exceptional quality, fresh produce, great variety with more to offer compared with other local grocery stores. Love the bakery & Deli plus the ready-made meals in the refrigerated case are always quick n easy. 👍👍 I woulda never expected it but...the Sushi rolls are so good too!Not to forget; the Starbucks Coffee shop located inside, so convenient!

I love Safeway, and I take advantage of my Safeway card. The gas rewards are especially useful. I have gotten upwards of $1.00 a gallon off at Safeway gas stations.

Check the expiration dates on everything! The employees are great there. This store has a weird habit of carrying new products for a few months and then they are gone forever. Sometimes the produce selection sucks. They also seem to change their hours alot. I shop here if I can't make it to the co-OP or Eureka natural foods, and Winco is just gross.

7/1/22 Update: Produce workers here are the best. Gave me two bags of old veggies, that were gonna get thrown out, for my rabbit. Thank you!!!This local Safeway always has the nicest of workers, fully stocked shelves and spectacular deals on meat (most of the time, with the meat). Very happy with it in my little Myrtletown.

They always have what I need. Some mornings I just go to kill time before heading home. I've had some great conversations with some of the workers. I love how they remember who their costumers are.The lady that is always killing time. Lol

This Safeway is like all other Safeway stores. Clean store, lots of items to choose from friendly staff and multiple departments.Produce dept is really good.Floral is decent good.Meat dept is excellent. The butcher's are well informed, super friendly and helpful.Bakery is great.Deli dept is questionable. The cold deli section is good but they seem to be understaffed for the past few years. Resulting in often long waits and mediocre customer service. The hot deli section, well, they seem to lack pride in their work and should be ashamed of the foods they are presenting for sale. I often question if their heat holding practices are safe for consumption. The rotisserie chickens are an atrocity in appearance and probably should be checked out by the health dept.
