I love this place, but recently I have been very disappointed. Every time I go in I am charged more than the posted price on the shelf. I caught it last time at the store, but this last time I got home after doing other errands and looked at the receipt. I called and the manager on duty apologized and said prices are changing every day, and the associates are supposed to change the prices on the shelf before entering it into the computer. Apparently they have been missing that memo. The manager was very cordial and refunded my account more than the difference to make up for the mistake. This is why I gave 3 stars instead of 1Overall the store is great, friendly employees, just this one thing that is ongoing and I feel it needs to be addressed.

Genuinely had the best experience here, specifically with Danny. We were looking around with my kid who is 7 and Danny went out of his way to connect with our kid, show him fun things (including the bunny in the garden area), showed him how to use the little helicopter toy he picked up, plugged in the halloween stuff so we could press the buttons, and explained everything to him with patience and understanding. Even though it’s just a hardware store my kiddo left saying he had the best time EVER and wants to go back to say hi to all his new friends. Absolutely amazing service from everyone we encountered, plus they had a great selection for the things we *actually* went to get. We will be making the drive from Modesto just to go to this store instead of the ones we’ve been going to because it was fantastic.

I always love coming here because they have what I need and the team is always so nice. But this last time Berry; who recently came from the Modesto store I found out , made an extra special impact. He took extra time explaining the products and how they work and made his recommendations, all while being fun and happy. You can tell he genuinely loves helping people. People like Berry are what this world needs more of when it comes to customer service.

Just walked out and I am in the parking lot writing this review.. 95% of the time I walk in this store and I have one if not several employees offering to help me find what I am looking for.This morning however was quite different.I was walking around the store for 15 minutes and not one person asked if they could help including who appeared to be a manager. I looked for someone the whole time I was there and either they were chatting it up with a customer about life or completely ignored me.With this experience and the outrageous prices, I will be driving to a surrounding city for my hardware needs going forward.Great job Ace!

Zero customer service. I counted at least 6 employees and was greeted by none. Was waiting to get a key done and the dude was busy. Okay, I don't mind waiting. Wasn't greeted or addressed. Oh, but the white guy wearing no mask that came in a while after was addressed, greeted, and asked if he needed anything by the "busy" guy doing the keys. I've been snubbed by this place before but honestly, I'd rather take my business to Lowe's from now on even if that means a longer drive to Modesto. I tried supporting small business but some small businesses in this town need to learn that there is a lot more diversity and we deserve equal treatment.

2 workers were outside of the store and rushed in, closed & locked the doors as soon as we pulled up, granted it was 8:05 pm, what grated was the workers in the store were laughing at us for missing the store hours. Yes I get it, we pulled up after store hours, however there was no need to jeer and laugh at us...we can see through the glass doors! How rude! Were still customers and might come back to purchase from your store during business hours. I was very surprised at their behaviour this time, we had been going to this place for years and staff is very friendly and helpful (during business hours.)

It was my 1st time in the store. I loved it and Every employee I seen Greeted me and asked if I needed help. You don't see that Anymore. I live in Patterson. When I enter a store there I am never Greeted or helped. I'm lucky I worked 28 years of Hardware. 25 years in Gustine and 3 at Lowes. I believe in Customer service treat your customers the way you want to be treated. I will definitely be back. Or visit your Modesto store. I work in Modesto. Thank you All Ace Hardware Employees you Rock.

Very friendly associate, and helper, Danielle. Also Kris the manager went above and beyond, changing batteries in a bird feeder. If I lived in the area, I would frequent the store. Highly recommend.

The store is a large and kept clean and organized. Staff is friendly and helpful with anything you need. For being a small town hardware store they have a surprisingly large and diverse inventory.

Man I love this place. I am minutes away from a Home Depot so I get nearly everything from there of course.However for a great selection of nuts n bolts, nails n screws, especially that odd piece you need for that project, instead of a "big box" of whatever, Ace is Your Place Haha.Sometimes they might not have it but the staff didnt give up like most at Home Depot. They would think, and improvise with something else, two put together or whatever, and often it would work.Thats what I'm talking about. It's not just the inventory. It's the staff, their natural friendliness and customer service you dont get elsewhere. Their prices are just as fair and competitive as can be, too.
