The parking lot here is really small, street parking is also very limited. The staff here are nice and friendly. We were looking for quail, but they did not have any. They have egg layers chicks, geese, pot belly pig, goat, pigeons, and some birds.

This was our first time at Wes's. The staff (I think it was the owner and the family) is helpful and knowledgeable. Product selection was pretty good, as were the prices. Not the usual products we buy for our animals but we are willing to try. The little farm is great too!

Great customer service still exists! I believe the shop is owned by a family and they are super friendly and helpful. The prices are also great and my daughter loves to go see the animals they have there. They have definitely gained a long term customer here and I will also let others know about them.

When buying baby chicks, the accuracy of gender determination is only 95%. This time, we happened to get a boy in the mix. Wes's was not responsible for the mistake, but they went out of their way to make our situation better. They let us bring in our rooster and let us take home two new baby chick! Thanks, Mario!

Go to place for chicken feed and bedding! Got our chicks here too. Staff is super friendly, prices are reasonable, and always fun to walk through and see which animals they have that day. Great little place.

We went on a Sunday I walked out with seven chicks and plenty of great first timer info. The young lady that helped us was amazing.I have also gotten chicks at a different store and they r Ill and one has passed. I will only go to Wes from now on. Not one issue with my girls.

The owner is a really good guy. He works to help his customers, and make sure they have a good experience, at a good price. His feeds rock, and so do the animals he sells. Been going to that feed/animal store most of my life.

Their store is very interesting and welcoming. They are never obsessively breathing behind your neck, they give you a chance to look around first. The only upside of this store is that they can’t really tell the gender of chicks. We went to get two roosters and a hen and ended up with all hens.

Lee greeted me with eye contact and in a polite in manner.I mentioned to Lee that my peacocks were not eating every morsel of their food and I was wasting a lot of food and money. He suggested I feed them scratch and he gave me a small bag to try. It did look more appealing for my peacocks. He was very patient and helpful. Please please please do not go here. Save yourself. This place has gone downhill rapidly. The shelves were empty, there were dead chicks with their faces completely decomposed in the cage with live chicks. They had no chickens on site but he "knew a guy." I had heard nothing but good things about this place but something must've happened recently. I would suggest San Dimas Grain, it's about 20 minutes away and everything you're looking for. Clean everything, helpful people, lots of variety, reasonable prices, and a large selection.

Really great place. But sometimes you have to be careful, my family got chickens from here and 2 died about a day after we brought them home. There's goats aswell with friendly staff.

This place has changed ownership so some of the past reviews might not be so good. But the new owner has turned Wes's back around to what it was years ago. I love this little feed store. I go when I need things like hay or Timothy Hay or some feed for wild birds or chickens. On this trip I went for hay dor my manger scene. I was able to buy part of a bale, (one bale would have been $8, not a lot of money but I didn't need a whole bale of hay) While I was there I noticed he didn't have any chickens for sale. The owner told me that a disease has hit the southern California area, Virulent Newcastle Disease (VND) (it is deadly to birds especially chickens and is very contagious) so he can't sell chicks until December. Great service, friendly people, small and interesting. It's local kind of business that I really love.

The staff is super helpful and knows what they are doing. I go every few weeks for chicken feed and i dont know what id do without them. Every question answered. And when they have baby chicks its fun just to see the little peepers!

Wes"s Pets is the best!!! Mr. Mario is professional, friendly and helpful. The prices are just right and the animals are in excellent condition. Mr. Mario will always greet you with a smile and he is always ready to serve you! I highly recommend this place for all your birds needs.

I got two beautiful chickies from here, and I bought some wood chips and feed for a very good price. I will come back here again. This place reminds me of an urban homestead.

Bought 5 chicks there, owner said they were all female. Later i ended up with two roosters and three hens. Owner said i could trade the roosters for hens. Said he'll call me back when they had the hens i wanted. Its been 5 months and not a single phone call.

I've been visiting Wess's through at least the last three owners. For almost 50 years if you are set up for keeping chickens, ducks, bunnies or various ruminants this is the best place for beginners, and hobbiests. The newest owners are knowledgeable, and great natured, plus the prices are competitive. There are two other fees stores within a few miles, but for my needs, Wess's is best.

Wes's has great prices on feed/by the pound for all sorts of animals. They actually have goats, chickens, and farm type animals unlike most pet shops in the area. They tend to be more affordable than the major pet chains and have knowledgeable staff as far as raising animals goes.

I spoke with the owner and gave him a list of chicken breeds I wanted, five in total. He said he could get anything, and said most likely the following week. This went on for over 9 weeks, being told it would be the following week. And I had to contact him each week, never rec'd a follow up call. I never ended up getting the chickens from him. He never got them in and never called me to keep me updated. So as far as I'm concerned, I've now been waiting twelve months. (I did end up buying them elsewhere after the 10th week, but I'm making a point).

I love this Barn Yard and Averie, Pet feed store. Store is run by Mario, the nicest person you will run across. The prices are very reasonable, lowest I have found. You will also find farm Animals here for sale.

Small feed shop for a quick pick up of feed and chicks. Picked up a Lavender Orpington and a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte for $8 each. Great price for these breeds.
