Elaina is great! She’s friendly, funny and knowledgeable which are great attributes of a dog trainer. We have completed the puppy training class and are now working on the “fundamentals”. Next we will continue with the “advanced” class and take the AKC/K9 Good Citizen test. The classes are well worth the money and I have noticed great progress. Thanks Elaina for your help!

A lot of different stuff then ... say ... Walmart or a grocery store. A little beat up. But that's cause they get hit hard I can tell. But they have a pet discount rack. And tons of healthy food selections. Staff is respectful. And honestly let you shop. After wondering if your finding everything. I wish they had more cat treats. Almost seems ridiculous that they have a 3x3 ft. Section of almost empty cat treats when they have 4 aisles of cat food. They have live betta fish 🐟 ranging from $3.99 to $ 28.00+. My 3.99 is beautiful and still alive. Ty

I take my beautiful girl Harlo Quinn for grooming here with Peabody. Peabody is so amazing with Harlo. And Harlo seems to love Peabody!! We have a standing reservation there monthly! We also buy all Harlo's needs here. We're really into all the healthy stuff for Harlo. Like Blue Buffalo and healthy treats. All easily found at great prices. I plan on checking into the vet services as well.

Very nice checkout lady who called for carry out service for me. The carts have poles attached so customers cannot take them outside the store. Thankfully this wasn’t an issue because of the carry out service.Prices are high. I was a bit shocked at my total.

Elaina was our trainer and our puppies loved her! She was able to teach us how to get them to sit, stay, and focus on our voice with positive reinforcement. I would highly recommend signing up for one of her classes!

I brought my puppy in for a walk in nail trim and the team was so amazing. He was a little shy at first and by the time it was over he was a happy boy!! The energy of the team was high and they were very welcoming. We will definitely be coming back for more services.

I tried to purchase my dog food online in order to take advantage of the 10% pick up at the store but when I want it to place the order the 10% discount didn't apply even my purchase was over $100 so I headed to Petco El cajon location willingly knowing the bad service they provide like always , the cashier ask for phone number to pull out my account but never apply the rewards that I have loaded on the Petco app , I have to remind her

The whole point of buying online and picking up in store is to skip the line. If your too dumb to know that you shouldn't have that option. Every time I do this at the El Cajon location I have to wait. Last night I go to pick up my order and a girl with a face full of jewelry is working. There are about 7 ppl in line. I say who do I ask about my pickup order? She said ME! Then ignores me and continues with the long line. I politely asked are you the only one working tonight? She said NO!!!!!! I wont be shopping here anymore. The economy is bad enough without having to deal with ignorant, rude employees that don't understand online pickup in store means SKIP THE LINE!!

I think that Petco is extremely efficient and makes my life very easy. I am able to quickly order food for my dogs and cats online. I am also able to quickly pick up the order, with a discount. I also like receiving the rewards. The El Cajon Petco staff are extremely friendly and professional.

We used Petco for grooming our soft coated wheaten terrier Rupert while visiting the area & Abigayle W did a great job. She asked the right breed specific questions about his coat, understood what we were looking for, and executed it wonderfully. We’re always a little nervous about new groomers (as we travel often), but she did a wonderful job! Thanks Abigayle!Aside from the grooming which definitely gets 5 stars, the store itself smells terrible. I’m not quite sure why, because it isn’t dirty or unkept. But the smell is quite horrible.

I adopted cats during their partnership with foster cat parents and it was amazing. They went above and beyond in helping me and my boyfriend get supplies and have coupons for our cat items and that helped tremendously. With the help of the coupon and the paper work that the foster cat parents gave us to get the coupons the total was cut down in half. Thank you Petco for having this amazing collaboration!!

I happened to be in the area and needed to pick up some things for my dog and cats. The selection at this Petco was really poor. They had broken pallets on the ground, plastic wrap on the ground, most of the shelves were empty, and trash from boxes everywhere. The only animals that they had were fish, all the rest of the enclosures said, "new companion coming soon". It looked like they were about to go out of business. Their prices have increased significantly. I left with 2 things of bone broth for my dog and a few cans of cat food (which I think went sour, made both of my cats throw up almost immediately after eating and they've been on this food for a long time) and the total was over $40.00. I don't know what happened, but I used to love coming to this Petco. I'd think twice about coming back to this Petco.
