This is the best pet store in El cajon. They have everything. My dog (Cyndel) only eats raw and they always have just what she needs. The raw variety, as well as treats, snack, dry food, toys, meds, and just about anything else you could need for your fur babies is magnificent. They got the whole gambit covered. The staff is very knowledgeable, and super cool.

I’ve always heard of the Healthy Pet Pantry and started shopping there last year. Holy cow was I sure missing out on high quality foods, treats, etc. This place is truly the best. I switched my cats Urinary Food to one of their brands and he is so much happier and healthier looking.The employees are very knowledgeable and all have very friendly demeanors. The fact that you get one on one customer service to help with product questions beats out all the big boxes pet stores.Plus it’s a small family owned business and I much rather support them. My dogs love coming in and visiting and get so excited when they see the Manager Amy.Thanks for the pleasant experience and great food options!

It's a cute little store. I did a lot of research to find the best quality food but this store only had grain free in the brand I wanted. I don't want to feed grain free. If you guys could get the Farmina that's not grain free that would be awesome!

This review is long overdue! This place is wonderful and has been such a blessing for the health of my dog Lucy. She is a 15 y/o cocker spaniel who was on a raw food diet but still experiencing digestive troubles. Stephanie and Marco were awesome and have helped me find the diet that best suits her. They are both very knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful! The goat milk was a life saver! Thank you for offering great quality healthy pet products!

I have been feeding my dogs kibble for some time and always had some sort of issue from digestive problems to not eating at all. Finally went to Healthy Pet Pantry and was recommended by Stephanie raw food. MY DOGS LOVE RAW FOOD! They finish their food every time they eat and their digestive issues went away. They are healthy as ever. Stephanie and Marco are the best employees! The store has a huge selection of dry, canned, or raw pet food. Best place to shop for my dogs.

Great selection, and some interesting things I hadn't seen before.Very sweet, attentive service as well. Love this place! Our first time there they let us take home a bunch of organic cat food samples for our baby. And we're going to bring him with us next time to pick beds etc. I loved how welcoming the atmosphere was. Very animal friendly and excellent selection. My cat went bonkers over his new toy. Very high quality.

I have been coming here for over 5 years and it is absolutely amazing! I have a cat and a 6 year old husky, Luna. When I first got Luna at 8 weeks I started feeding what the breeder said they were feeding her, Blue Buffalo, but I had so many issues with her having diarrhea. After countless, expensive vet visits, multiple episodes of antibiotics, and at least 7 different brands of food, I finally decided to go a different route and try raw food. At this point I had done quite a bit of research on dog food but was still unsure due to so many different styles of feeding guidelines. I found this place online, and ever since the very first visit the people here have been so amazing! With the help of staff, I was able to find food for Luna that solved all the diarrhea problems and got my cat some much better quality food! Every single one of the staff are knowledgeable, always willing to help with anything, and they adore Luna which is just a plus! She loves coming to the "food store" with me and always manages to look cute enough to get treats at checkout time! I highly recommend this place to everyone!

The owner Diane is amazing she spent so much time helping me with my dog's every health concern. My dogs energy has increased ten fold after switching to raw food. They run like young dogs and they are 10 and 12. I am so grateful for this place. If you are looking for a natural solution for any health issue you will find it here.She has a lot of holistic information as well you would think she has a D.V.M.behind her name. If more people had the knowledge about raw food our babies would not be dying of cancer. 50 percent of dogs over 10 years old now it is an epidemic. All of the staff there are so amazingly knowledge, caring, supportive, helpful willing to spend time with you to understand the needs of your pet. I have learned so much from them in a short amount of time. And have avoided going to the vet for things that would never help my pit/Boston terrier with her food and skin allergies. She is doing so much better and am comfortable with the knowledge I have to provide her with the proper diet. And it's a plus for my huskie n two grand-dogs! They get really good stuff now too! The healthy Pet Pantry provides everything you need to keep your pet happy and healthy. Too much to cover in a review. You really need to visit their website or better yet visit their store! You will be impressed! I wish I would have found them years ago!

My daughters went in and fell in love with one of the kittens that were up for adoption. They brought home the application and we filled it out. The next day my daughters and I went back to visit and play with the kitten we were interested in adopting. The owner of the store came over to chat with us while we were playing with the kitten we were interested in. She told us that our application looked great, she just had one question about what food we fed our cat that we have at home. I informed her of the food we feed our cat, which happened to be a dry cat food. The next 30 minutes of my life were spent being lectured and belittled by her about the ill effects that dry cat food could have on my cat. I had never heard of any of this before and I told her that. She kept saying, "really" as though I were lying to her....... Although everything she was saying made sense, it was the way she was telling it to us. Also making references that cat owners who fed their cats dry food "did not care about their cats". That statement is very far from the truth. I asked her what was the cost of wet food, because is I was interested interested in purchasing some. She dodged the question repeatedly, I was unsure why. Later into the conversation she told me that it was a "red flag" because I asked the price of the food!!!!!! After I had told her earlier in the conversation that money was not an issue!!! I'm sorry that because I wanted to know the price of a product, it raised a red flag!! How insulting! At that point I knew that the adoption was never going to happen.I was so shocked that a business owner would EVER speak to a customer in such a belittling and demeaning tone. Although she has a lot of knowledge, its the way she delivered it to me. I will be buying my cat "wet food" but there is no way I will EVER purchase ANYTHING from Healthy Pet............ Very disappointing experience!!

Incredible place to keep your pet healthy! I have learned so much from these people. It's because of them that I've been able to keep my Standards skin healthy and not itchy. I pay more in dog food but make up for it by staying out of the vets office. Plus, my dog is so much more comfortable and happy.

So glad we called them! I have a 12 year old English Mastiff with really bad arthritis. We ran out of her CBD pills and Healthy Pet Pantry had them in stock. Thank you so much!! The CBD and Hemp pills help my old girl better than anything her Vet has given her.

Gentleman employee helped me as soon as I walked through the door this afternoon, took me exactly to what I needed, and spent extra time to explain all the different pros and cons of various dog food brands 🙌I immensely appreciate employees who take pride in their work, regardless of the work or pay 😊👏And there are a LOT of wholesome products for your pet 🐶🐈🐰 and always good sales going on!

Unfortunately I have to give this place One Star. Their customer service is horrible, the only two people working there is the owner and her husband and they are extremely rude! They're lacking product knowledge and they don't appreciate their customers. The overall store is great. I love the variety of dog food and treats. I can tolerate the attitude and horrible customer service!

Everyone I have ever dealt with here has treated me like family from day 1, not "just a customer". I can bring Silby and Ted E. inside with me and many times score a treat.
