This is the best hardware store. Anywhere. Ron and his staff run this place like a small town hardware store ought to be. It is half museum, half hardware store (with everything you could possibly need) and half free advice/counseling center.If you give them a try three things will happen. You will get what you need (at a good price), you will learn something, and you will make a friend (or two).

Super friendly and helpful employees. Last summer when I was hiking the PCT, I had to send my tent fly in for repair and stopped in to see if they had anything I could use as an emergency rain guard. The guy working helped me find a lightweight paint drop cloth to use as a backup and it was exactly what I needed. Thanks!

Terrific, old fashioned, general store type place to browse and shop. The customer service is outstanding! Worth a visit even if you don't think you need anything, you will definitely find something you want.
