The employees are awesome here. They remember your pet's name, and they are so helpful if you can't find something, even suggesting something else if they don't have exactly what you are looking for. It's like visiting friends but in a shopping atmosphere. I travel 20 min to come to this particular location, even though I have one 10 min closer.

We brought our 2 puppies to Pet Food Express today. It was their first time visiting a pet store. The women who work there were great with them! They were very patient, giving them treats and love. We bought some toys and treats. I think the pups will look forward to their next visit! My thanks to the staff for doing everything right!

We’re visiting from SoCal and shopped few of the Pet Food Express there and loved it. However, this location was beyond any experiences we ever had. Bryant and team are amazing and knowledgeable. The store was stacked and very cleaned.

This place has the best set up! The best/easiest bath ever given! 😍 I did give some cbd hemp/mushroom supplement prior to, but there was even another dog in there, which usually she is reactive, but not this time! She did great and the staff is amazing!❤😎

Me and my dog's favorite place! We come here to bathe our dog, we come here for all the dog supplies and supplements. And we come here just for fun! Employees are very helpful, kind, and professional! My dog knows he is going to meet the employee there and got excited while we pulling into the parking lot. The place is clean, shelfs are well organized. This is the best PFE location ever!

So, I am much closer to he antioch store than Clayton but since antioch seems to be out of the honest kitchen 20lb bags I drove all the way to Clayton and I'm glad I did. The Clayton store staff are soooooo much better and the store is fully stocked in just about everything.

This store is the best pet store I have ever been to! They are so attentive to my dog and give him treats and lots of pets, and he just loves it.When I take him other places they barely even notice my dog and it breaks his little heart. But he is so excited and happy by all the love and attention he gets from the awesome, animal loving employees at this store. He even knows the route and starts whining with excitement, when I make the turn to pet food express. That's how happy he is to go to this store!!Thank you all for what you do and how happy you make my dog! 🐕🤗

I tend to foster a lot of kittens so I find myself down here from time to time to pick up milk and other supplies. I have to say the employees at this location are wonderful. All of them that I have encountered on the phone or in person have been knowledgeable and kind. The staff strikes just the right balance of trying to help you find what you need without being overbearing. Of course based on the size of the store the selection can be somewhat limited but it's definitely enough. Only other thing to mention is I find the prices here to be a tad higher than some other places. But based on it's location I think that's to be expected.

My first time here for washing my dogs and here's how it went.I was hoping to wash my dogs here, but the washing stations are very unfriendly for someone that is 5 feet tall. I first had to convince my dogs to get into the "tub". One was cooperative (had to be bribed) and the other wasn't. Once they were inside had to struggle to reach the cord to secure them. The struggle was real and getting them secure was work. I did take on of the other holding cords to extend it to secure my dog, but she didn't like it and jumped out. So the dog washing never happened. I just put back the other cord and told the dogs let's go and left.The "tub" that the dogs go into is too tall for someone of my height. Then my next issue is that the cords used to hold the dogs inside the "tub" were way too short for me to reach even after jumping and getting them on my dogs. It would be impossible for me to wash them because they're so far away from me. Even a step stool would have helped me, but there wasn't one there for me to use.I think some modifications need to be made at this location. I was at the second station on the left side. I'm not sure if the other stations are the same, but I think I'll stick to the other Pet Food Expreess on Treat Blvd for washing.

Brandt and the entire staff at the Clayton Pet Food Express were amazingly helpful as we prepared for our Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy as well as the first couple of weeks. Our "little" puppy is obviously thinks Brandt is the best, he is so relaxed!

The gal working there (forgot to get her name 😔) Monday, March 27th, was so very helpful in showing me how to use the self serve pet bathing equipment and not making me feel bad with my two nutcases I brought for the first time. She explained about the variety of shampoo to choose from. We tried the hemp one. They have folded towels waiting on the side of the tub with treats and aprons to put on. I have a young Belgian Malinois who is so scared of unfamiliar noises and water (yet loves swimming?lol). I also have a 6 yr old Pit Bull (who is absolutely obsessed with any form of water and a star swimmer). I explained she is the "problem child". She was so overly excited to see water spraying from the shower hose and making all her theatrical sounds that she is known to do and was hopping all around in the tub, so good thing they have cables where you can attach your dog to stay put and not be able to jump out. She was trying to bite the spout every time I turned it on to suds her down & I didn't want to get bit by accident, so it almost impossible to bathe her. I already have enough love bites on my arms, from the Malinois pup. If anyone is familiar with the breed, they know why their nickname is MaliGator haha. Anyways, so I was about to give up but the gal was kind enough to give me a cup filled with some shampoo which I also used it to fill it with water and rinse her off. I will have to do it that way next time too. Both dogs were super happy to feel nice and clean afterwards and their fur looked great!They offer a great deal here where you can buy 3 get the 4th bath free.Hopefully my lil pittie is allowed back to practice her opera again...lol.

I went to get some treats and a new key tag for my cat and Brant was the one that helped me out. He was not only extremely helpful, but he was funny, charismatic and made my shopping experience so much fun! Everyone there was so kind and helpful! 10/10 recommend this pet food express!

Great spot to grab what you need for dogs and cats. Staff is always friendly and knows their stuff. DIY dog baths are a game changer. Towels, treats, aprons, everything you need to bathe 2 dogs no problem.

John at Pet Food Express is so awesome and knowledge. My cat hadn't been eating for a few weeks and John introduced me to freeze-dried chicken. My cat woofs it down and begs for more. He is now eating regularly and acting so much better. Thank you, John!

The staff at this store have always been super friendly and extremely helpful.They are always knowledgeable and have given us great advice on many aspects of our dog's care and feeding.Most recently, they were out of the brand of food we've fed our dogs their whole life due to a recall. The sales person knew what other brand had the same ingredients, read them to us, gave us a free can of pumpkin to help with the transition (I had no idea) and told us to return it all if our dogs didn't tolerate their new food and we'd try something else.By far, best customer service we've received!

My first time at this Pet Food Express location and I was completely blown away by the exceptional customer service I received from Nicholas. He showed me items I was not aware of. Granted, I've had pets my whole life and even worked for the EastBay SPCA for a few years so I know the needs of pets and how to detect certain behaviors that might now be positive for their human companions. I will definitely be back and recommend anyone with questions seek out Nicholas, he's an expert and super helpful which is what anyone should look for in someone in the customer service industry.

Amazing staff!!!! Always friendly and helpful. They actually know what they're talking about! This is my go-to place for all things pet related. Great selection of food and toys for all kinds of animals. Treats and bathing stuff. They have a shower area for your pets and a free scale to see how much they weigh.Definitely drop by here!

Took our Labrador Retreiver in for a wash job today. Great setup for dog bathing. Store personnel were super helpful, giving my dog treats and explaining how to operate the controls.

I needed a few things for my new puppy so we headed over to Pet food Express. I have been there for cat supplies many times but never for a dog. The staff were very helpful, they helped fit a collar and harness for him, helped us pick his leash, shampoo and lots of treats too. He was a little shy but the staff were very sweet and attentive to him.

This post is honestly WAY overdue. Each employee at the Clayton store are SO kind always!! We are greeted at the door with a warm hello, followed by “can we help you find something”, or how are you today? They always offer to give treats and give lots of love to our sweet labradors.We have been coming to store since our first lab, Roxie was about 3 years old until she passed away almost a year ago this April. She lived to be 13 and when I let a specific girl there know she was heart broken along with me. That shows such true compassion not only for people but the relationship we share with our furry kiddos.We now have a 10 month Labrador who now loves her trips to the pet store. I feel really blessed to have a place where we go for bath-time, treats, food and most importantly the L O V E & T R U E kindness from this staff!Thank YOU all~

Selection isn't huge and I feel like they are overpriced. It's the closest store to me if I need something in a pinch but even then no guarantee they have what I'm looking for. People are always nice though.

This is just for the VIP pet care clinic that is out of this location. Other locations we have been to have made it clear that dogs an people need to stay in the cars. So that the store and clinic wasn’t boarded with tons of dogs.Because they don’t take Apts. We arrived early. About 30 mins early, but apparently that’s not even early enough. The parking lot was covered with people an dogs. Everyone inside an outside walking around. We were told that you scan the QR code Starbucks wait in your car. However with so many dogs out. It quickly become obvious that we couldn’t take our dog out of the car. We were number 12. We signed in about 15 mins before 10am. We left and an hour later received the text they were ready for us. So expect to wait an hour or more even if you arrive. I expected a little more organization. This is the only low cost pet vaccines we could find but because there are so many dogs out and the wait. We had to leave.

they are always very helpful and if you have an exchange that needs to take place , they make it easy to do so no hassle about oh why are you returning this oh why don't you want that it's just ,I'd like to return this okay would you like to get anything else or would you like us to put it back on your card. Great customer service everybody is so nice and friendly and they remember who you are on your next visit.
