They are amazing here! They make you feel like your pets are their favorites. They work to accommodate the feisty pets and go above and beyond with end of life care. They are as thorough with chasing down the cause of a problem as you are willing to be and conscientious of your wishes. Way to go!

We have had 4 pets over the last 20 years, all cared for by this veterinary hospital. They have been gentle and kind with all, especially in their final visit. There have been mostly successes in altering the course of diseases including removal of a cancerous tumor. If I adopt another pet, this will be where he/she finds their medical care giver.

This is the best veterinary clinic that we have ever used. The front desk staff are led by Terry who is so kind and compassionate. During Covid I watched the doctor come out and gently lift an elderly dog from the car next to mine. The owners of the dog were worried and scared and he was so comforting to them and treated their dog like it was his own precious pet. At the same time, he was confident and reassuring to the owners. They did an immediate X-ray, diagnosed the issue, and the doctor personally came out giving a plan of action and continued to come out with updates. I have a seven year old healthy dog, if anything goes wrong with her I know that we are at the clinic where all of the talented people who work there really, really care. Dr. Jenny Carlson is a really amazing doctor, she is usually the one that we see and she is not only a talented Veterinarian she is one of the nicest person you will ever meet! Her tech assistants are gentle and never rush us. The reception staff led by Terry are all kind and great with follow up skills. The entire organization works hard at keeping costs low for the customer, and providing time, care, and kindness like you are their only customer.

I highly recommend Camino Animal Hospital. Drs. Garden and Carlson are wonderful. They are very knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. We never feel rushed. We’ve taken all 5 of our pets here ever since we moved and have not been disappointed. Teri at the front desk is terrific, always compassionate and helpful. These are the best care givers for your pets. They have treated our dogs as if they were their own. They all care about the outcome and Dr Garden is genuine and truthful about your dog's condition and treatment. We have been going to Camino Animal Hospital for about 20 years. They're compassionate when your pet is aging and/or sick and you want them to help.....they DO and they're realistic and honest about the quality of life of your animals. I was fortunate to find Camino Animal Hospital when I moved to the area 3-1/2 years ago. There was a vet closer to my house, but I established with Camino because they were thoughtful, sensitive to my needs having 3 dogs, and the care has always been exceptional. They also helped me through a difficult time with one of my dogs. They were all so kind and compassionate while also providing excellent care. I highly recommend this office.

I have a rescue Cane Corso who is extremely fearful of men and not great with strangers. Working with Dr. Carlson has been an excellent experience. She doesn't rush to treat him but rather takes his treatment slow going at his pace. Dr. Carlson did a wonderful job getting the answers we needed with a blood draw rather then a hands on exam because she noticed it was making him too uncomfortable. I highly recommend Camino Vet to anyone with a pet. The staff has been helpful, friendly and professional!

We actually live within a couple miles of 3 other vets here locally in Placerville...and we've been to them all. My bulldog would try to run the opposite direction every time we would pull in the parking lot. My son suggested taking the extra time to drive to Camino for all our pets as he has been very happy with the care his pets received. So we did, and what a pleasant surprise. Long story short, we will continue to drive the extra miles because of the way they treat our pets, and us. And my bulldog loves to go the vet, now!

My little lady; our best friend; our lovely dog was on deaths door this morning and after taking her to an ER vet Sunday and them doing nothing…we brought her to the Camino vet/her original vet the next day. Dr. Carlson and her staff took such great care of our baby girl who could have died. They brought her back to life and figured out what was wrong with her. Dr. Carlson did not stop until she knew what was wrong. She treated her quote on quote “like her own dog”. She saved my dogs life and we are so great full. FYI this was not the first time they have helped my pup. Each time has been great!

Never had a worse experience with a vet. Seems like there are lots of good reviews about other vets here so maybe it was just Dr Carlson, she was INCREDIBLY RUDE.This was my first time here and she was rude the moment I walked through the door, it was shocking and confusing.I have had quite a few people tell me in person they have had bad experiences here but since they were so close to home I was hoping that the 5 star reviews on Google were more accurate unfortunately I will never go back.

Terrible service. If you like a rude, demeaning and arrogant vet, then these are the people you should go with. This was our first time in and our dog had a terrible abscess on his cheek. The vet wouldn’t even look at him unless he got another rabies vaccine even though he was up to date on his tighters. Regardless, I’ve never had a vet be so rude. Not sure what her issue was but I’m never going back.

Dr Garden and his entire staff have always been beyond professional and amazing with our pets. Our first dog was diagnosed with cancer and Dr Garden made sure to lie out all of our options and made sure we understood just how we’d move forward. When it got too much for her him and his staff were absolutely amazing with helping her cross the rainbow bridge. The level of compassion was second to none. As is all of their care. Our three year old dog has been going there since she was a tiny puppy and they’re always amazing with her. We would never visit another vet in the area for anything but an emergency that Camino Animal Hospital wasn’t open for. Love them!!

I had my 3 fur babies Zombie, Kismet, Mittens (cats) in for shots and a check up. Extremely friendly and animal loving staff. Great Vet who is thorough and explains things in detail. I rest easy knowing my babies are in good hands. I will continue to bring my babies here, because I trust them with their care. And that's the most important. That I am assured they are well cared for. Pleasant atmosphere and great energy. Reasonable prices. Top quality care. I won't go anywhere else. Pet problems are never expected or fun in most cases. Dr Garden and Dr Carlson and staff and ( Terri Sieminski ) who is the 1st voice you hear are wonderful as are all.
