I completely recommend! We did the private tour and our tour guide Jim was amazing! He made the tour guide very personal and talked about his experience as well. It was as talking to an old friend you haven’t seen in awhile. I high recommend the private tour if you can, you really learn so much about the winery!!!

I have visited probably 35-40 wineries in the region and this was the only place I felt I’d really enjoy being a club member. There was way too much good wine to taste in one visit, so I will make a point to return even though I live 2700 miles away. Our guide had lots of stories about the property and made me want to hold a party inside the cave or join the summer lobster fest.

Lily was an expert on wines and we learned a lot from her during our wine tasting. We tasted 4 wines and they were all noteworthy. The location is excellent, a short distance off a county road. The building is adjacent to vineyards. Lovely interior with plenty of light. Loved the Calistoga winter passport offers!

Great experience overall. Loved the Pinot noir. Gorgeous grounds. We were in the back building with Diane. She was a character, great company. I do wish there was some music playing in the background as we were the only ones there. Would recommend.

If I could give the experience a negative star, I would have. Upon arrival, a woman (we now know as Heather) seemed annoyed to have to greet us. With a huff she begrudgingly took our names and said she would seat us in a minute. The room was empty with the exception of one other couple. Then she pointed us to the other end of the room and said “you can sit there”. Luckily a bright spot appeared and we met Shelly. She was very nice and soft spoken. She accommodated our tasting to varietals we preferred. During the whole visit, Heather was sighing and grumbling through her tasks and not presenting herself or the winery in a good light. The room was extremely hot. We requested to increase the air conditioning which seemed to once again upset Heather. We then took it upon ourselves to open a couple doors to allow for a cross breeze she was again upset. When we asked Shelly to check for availability of large formats, she was forced to ask Heather who acted put out once again. This was the last straw. We walked up to the front counter and told Shelly how unhappy we were with our experience and specifically told Heather that her attitude to us and the people working with her was unacceptable and we were leaving. Needless to say, we will never visit this winery again or recommend our friends. There are over 500 wineries in the area. Hospitality is key in obtaining and retaining customers. Obviously, Heather does not feel she needs anyone else to visit but the ownership should pay attention.

We signed up for the premium connoisseur tour, and we're fortunate to get Nick as our guide. It was just the 2 of us for the tour, so it was extremely private. We could ask 1uestions and really get an in-depth understanding of wines from this tour. Nick was so knowledgeable and helped make the tour extremely memorable. Going into the caves for a private tasting was well beyond our expectations.My wife and I enjoyed the wines a lot and the food pairings just set the tone. Highly recommend! Look for coupon codes online to save on your tours. Or better yet, sign up for their wine club to receive amazing wines AND get your purchase price refunded.

One of our favorite wine tastings so far. Gorgeous views and wonderful picturesque environment. It was very cool to look at the caves where they also host private events. The guy that was our host was very knowledgeable and knew what we wanted. He was also willing to switch out some reds with whites so we can also taste their rose and Chardonnay.

My husband I did a wine cave tour with Wes and we had the best time! Wes was fun and super knowledgeable. The property is beautiful and the wines are great. It was a wonderful way to spend our anniversary.

This was our first visit, and what a find. Arvind poured for us, and we were blown away by their exquisite wines and the beautiful setting. We had committed not to join any wineries on this trip, but Clos Pegase easily won. We both joined as we were so impressed with their collection. The facility is expansive and modern. Art work through with tasteful decor. There are multiple tasting areas indoors and outdoors the tasting area is near the vineyards with gas fire pits to add to the ambiance. Their food offerings well done and accompany the wine well. The staff is relaxed and pour generously. They are extremely knowledgeable and love to talk about wine. It was the perfect end to a full day of wine tasting. Reservations are recommended especially on weekends.I returned with a colleague a few days later, and we spent 3 hours there. She joined the winery as well. Looking forward to many visits over the years!

What a fantastic experience. We brought a group of 18 in terrible rain and Susan made it an absolutely delightful visit. I highly recommend stopping in here, and be sure to check out the expansive caves. My wine shipment can’t get here fast enough! Thanks again for a great visit!

This was our second visit to Clos Pegase in 6 months and it was great! Amanda made us fewright at home, made sure we had everything we needed and gave great wine tasting recommendations. We will be back!If anything could be improved, I’d say perhaps the comfort of the outdoor seating. Otherwise, it’s a very peaceful and relaxing setting!

Absolutely beautiful winery with a great story of the original family's architectural plans. The vineyard is themed on a work and play balance. Even though the vineyard is corporate owned now the wine is still amazing. Thank you for the amazing tasting experience!!!!

Our most recent trip here we were able to do a cave tour with Heather (Heather with red hair ♡) she was absolutely great and so knowledgeable on the winery and wines. Wines are excellent. I might be biased because the weather was perfect, but the outdoor space was fantastic spot to taste wine. Another winery I would love to come back to.The person who guided us through the tastings really helped to explain the type of notes you might expect to taste, but not in a “you should taste it” type of way. I thought we were explained the wine making process very well.

We’ve been members at Clos Pegase for a couple years now. Every visit has been a blast. Just did the cave tour for the third time and had Susan guide us. She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. Definitely check this place out, every single type of wine they offer is delicious, the staff is amazing and the grounds are just beautiful. It’s impossible for us to leave without a few extra bottles in hand.

We had an amazing experience at our tasting. My husband and I purchased Winter Passports and were on our way to another winery. We figured we stop by and see if they would be able to accommodate us without an appointment. Our host was able to accommodate us. We were very impressed by the wine, particularly their Pinot Noir and Cabarnet Sauvignon. The host even poured us a couple of other reserve wines since he had just opened them. We hadn't planned on becoming members but were really impressed by the wine, service and atmosphere. When we told the host that we probably couldn't do the membership due to the bottle commitment, he said they could accommodate us. We're excited to experience the perks of being club members and are already making plans to return. Leave some time to really enjoy the tasting and estate. We were having such a good time we missed our tasting at the other winery we had planned to visit. But it was worth it.

Absolutely fabulous wine cave tour! Get to see facilities and food pairings with their top wines in their wine caves. One of the best tastings in Upper Napa. Known for their cabs and Pinot Noir, but they have a buttery Chardonnay to die for. Been a wine club member for 3 years. A must tour if you visit Calistoga and want to see the workings of wine country.

Great wines and a beautiful experience! Went with a group of 9 (7 tasters and 2 non-tasters). We had a blast! The wines were surprisingly good (expected run of the mill Napa), the views were unparalleled, and the hospitality top-notch. It was so amazing, I became a wine club member by the end of the tasting. Nick was our associate, but everyone there was beyond. I highly recommend the chardonnay, red blend, cab franc, and clone 115 pinot.
