What a gem this place is!!!! Everything about it is 5 stars!!! I had been planning my sister’s bachelorette party for months and wasn’t successful anywhere in the whole area. Every single place wanted us to pay 100% up front with a set menu(how in the cornbread are they supposed to accommodate 14 people with different food needs with one menu), etc. Also being really rude about it. Was going to be $100/per person too with no drinks.Wanting this to be special wasn’t happening until Calistoga Inn came along and I thank you! They accommodated us with my sister in a wheelchair, that a few wanted to sit outside, no set menu, and we didn’t have to pay in advance. They were also very understanding of us needing to change the headcount a couple days prior due to some very serious health issues that one of our guests were having. All 12 of us sat outside on the beautiful patio by the creek. We all loved our food and drinks. Server was excellent! I want everyone to know how much it meant to me that you helped us have a very special time! I wish every single one of you the best in this life!

We had a lovely evening at Calistoga inn.The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and offers a nice outdoor seating area with fire pits although we opted to sit inside. Alex looked after us he was really attentive and helped us with wine recommendations. The food was exceptional we ordered beef short ribs, paella and Mac & cheese on the side and we were definitely not disappointed! The beef meat was so tender, the paella was a generous portion size and the Mac & cheese was some of the best we've ever tasted, it was served with bacon bits in.Highly recommend!

Overall a good experience but compared to other restaurants it was less deliberate than our other experiences in Calistoga.I can't speak to the rooms as I only had dinner there. Short ribs, potatoes, and sauce were delicious, but I preferred more salt. The brocolini were oily and in need of more salt. The bread and butter were cold. I didn't try it but my wife said the fig and arugula pizza was too sweet. The coffee was excellent! I think I ruined it by adding cream though. Even if you like creqm and sugar. I recommend trying it black and then with a little sugar. The service was great, we had everything we needed.

Beautifully crafted as only one can admire from outside @ the backyard botanical creek (which in itself is a sight to behold) or even the inconspicuously nestled bus stop for that matter. I'm sure from inside TheExperience would be infinite. It's always alive with laughter and joy and the conversations that drift by are positive and intelligent. It's always a pleasure to await my commute through Calistoga. I'm sure this is as to why my Daughter LaJade looks so happy. Thank you CalistogaWalkability: Well within a few feet of the main st and local bus stop

We had the welcome party for my wedding here in May - the team was amazing and made the party a huge success! The food was terrific ( I swear, a woman I haven’t seen eat a carb in years ate 3 pieces of that pizza!!!) and everyone had a great time. Lindsay was super responsive and helpful during the planning process and was extremely reassuring when it was clear that it would rain the whole night and the event was outside. They were able to cover the entire area and provide heat lamps, saving the day! The night of, Bobby was fantastic, as was the rest of the waitstaff. Many, many thanks!!!

My girlfriend and I popped in for lunch on a nice Saturday. We were able to get a table on the patio, and were helped right away. She got an eggs benedict, and I got the turkey and brie sandwich. Both were good and hit the spot after walking around town. Our server was prompt and friendly.

Calistoga is a cute town, great place to check out. This "hotel" was such a ripoff though. For over 200/night I got a room without any amenities -- no TV, hooks/places to store luggage, very few towels, barely any food/beverage services. The public bathrooms/showers is the worst though, which really makes this place an expensive hostel and degrades the experience. As a male I had to share two bathroom stalls and showers with everyone staying in the hotel--- I would avoid this place unless you are pretty desperate.Rooms: Cramped, no bathrooms or amenitiesNearby activities: Cute town, well locatedSafety: Very very safe placeWalkability: Able to walk around town easily; parking isnt a problem.Noteworthy details: This is an overpriced hostel marketed as a hotel.

We booked a reservation for a large group (20+) and they were responsive and helpful from the initial email all the way through to the day-of meal and end of service. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the meal and their staff were just amazing during the meal. Folks who wanted wine selected from an amazing list of local and import bottles and those who wanted beer enjoyed sampling the brewery options. We opted for the family-style serving style and it really worked for our group and the meal. There was plenty of great food and drink with accommodations for those who are gluten-free, vegan or vegetarian. We would absolutely come back!Parking: 3-hour street parking

I stayed here and couldn't have been more pleased with the choice. I loved everything about this inn. From the drive into Calistoga to the check out and everything in between. The staff was amazing, everything was clean and very picturesque. The food was amazing too, I highly recommend the charcuterie board and the beer flight. I have already decided if able to, I will most definitely be staying here again when visiting the beautiful wine country.

I had reserved a room for three nights. It wasn't until the day I was supposed to check in that I realized there were shared bathrooms. I called to inquire about canceling the reservation. But I wasn’t able to find any other place to say at. At the end of the phone call, I said, 'No worries, I'll just keep the room.' When I arrived, they all told me that they had cancelled the room without my confirmation, and they had no more rooms available. The customer service there is the worst I've ever experienced. I won't ever spend any money there again.

Absolutely terrible experience.Went to celebrate our anniversary.Never said a word about the reservation I made with our details.Booth very uncomfortable, no service at all.All staff were standing around and not friendly nor smiling.Had to ask for our order to be taken. Cold bread, cold butter. (The worst)Salad was really good. We ordered the beet salad to share. I never received my prime-rib. They gave me a steak instead which looked and tasted like it had been left in the oven way too long. The other components of the dish were also way overly cooked & super salty. My husband's lamb shank was cold and very underwhelming. The quality of food & service does not match the price range they are charging.2 drinks, 1 salad (split) 2 entrées totaled over $150.00. I don't mind paying those prices when the experience and food are worth it but this just was not it.

Had a real special lunch the other day.Great food with great beers .Service??Old school service from a pro, their floor manager Bobby made us feel like we were home.He did not miss a beat on all tables over the entire patio. He made up for all the other Covid service issues plaguing restaurants .I would recommend Cal Brewery to anyone .

It's been the same menu for over 5 years. The service sucks. The pizza sucks. The beer even is a lie.. They buy racer 5 and scrimshaw and other brands and lie to you and re label them as their own... it's illegal I'm sure. But I'm no lawyer.🤷My silverware was dirty. The wine glasses were hot, smelled funky, and were riddled with lint. Seems the owner is too cheap to buy silk buffing rags. Servers are not smart enough to answer any questions, they can barley take an order right.Food & drinks: Pizza was just bland and the ingredients tasted like they were expired. Better off chewing on a tireThe drinks are basic

Didn’t stay in the hotel, just visited the restaurant. I would say this place was okay overall. The food was alright, the craft beer was ok, and the service was ok. Plenty of street parking available. Didn’t need a reservation for lunch but I would recommend one for dinner when it gets very busy.

We sat out on the patio. It was lovely. We ordered the Ruben sandwich and wedge salad. Our server, asked if we were sharing the dishes and when we said yes, she offered to have the food split up by the kitchen. That was a nice surprise, and made it easy. One of the cocktails we ordered did not taste so good and they exchanged it with no problem. Very friendly accommodating. Oh and tasty food and drink.

This is a restaurant trying to maximize the use of its space by having a hotel as well. It has not apparent interest in actually being a comfortable place to sleep at night. It is cute and looks good on a computer screen. That is the only positive thing to say.It is exceedingly poorly designed for sleep. There wee hardwood floors with no coverings, a large gap under the door, our room was on top of the stairs leading up to the hotel and faced a busy street, and there were no curtains on the window. Those decisions might "look pretty" but no hotel that actually cared would ever make them. EVERY SINGLE noise reverberated through the room. My partner and I had ear plugs and still woke constantly due to people coming and going, street noise, coughing, people using the bathroom, etc.A hotel can not control people or street noise but it can designed itself to be conducive to sleep and privacy, which is the primary purpose of a hotel. This hotel gave no thoughts what so ever to these things. It was an exhausting and awful nights sleep. Do not sleep here, because you won't. It was also not a cheap nights sleep. Absolutely not worth it. I've slept better, and therefore had a better time overall, in hotels that cost half as much.

The Calistoga Inn in Calistoga, at the top end of Napa Valley, is located at the west end of the main road. It might be the oldest inn in Calistoga, nothing fancy, but interesting. The price is moderate. We had the front room, which has a small balcony. There are no showers or toilets in the rooms. They are shared, men's and women's. There is outside dining in a nice setting with great food. There is also a bar where you can eat, listen to live music, and sample the inn's craft beers from their own brewery. The inn is in a good location and it's easy to walk the length of the main road where most of the shops and restaurants are. The town has a very western feel to it. Many wineries are nearby for tasting, and Calistoga is also well know for its therapeutic hot spring spas. I wouldn't mind living here. We have been to Calistoga many times and like to try different places to stay, but Calistoga Inn was the most interesting.

Pretty lousy experience. Prices are above market but the room we got was subpar. Dark, dingy, a little grimy, dollar store shampoo. And also:Door handle to bathroom was broken and came off in my hand, let management know and they sent a guy over who said there was nothing he could do. Stayed all weekend and it never got fixed, then at checkout the kinda spacey and hostile clerk said “the manager said you were alright with it.” Hmm don’t remember saying that, but if it saved you $20 at Home Depot go ahead and gaslight me instead of doing your job. Bunch of hacks

Had dinner here yesterday and it has been renovated since my last visit - WOW does it look great. I had the rack of lamb which was cooked to order at medium rare. Polenta was buttery and peppery. Broccolini was crisp tender and roasted tomatoes were sweet. Altogether a delicious dish. My wife enjoyed her ribeye also cooked to medium rare as requested with the scalloped potatoes.

Brought 31 people in for a group dinner. We were set up in their indoor pub, which was a nice setting for our event. The staff was great, the service efficient, planning the event went smoothly. Meals were served family style, and were quite tasty. Everybody really enjoyed it. This was a very good dinner for the group! Highly recommend.

We had our welcome dinner here on Friday prior to our wedding at the Four Seasons down the road. This place was absolutely stunning and perfect. Intimate space, surrounded by trees and warm lighting. We wanted something that felt cozy so didn’t have a seating arrangement and that made the night so much more fun, where guests could mingle and meet new people prior to our big day. The wine was great; the food even better. Right in the heart of Calistoga. I’d also say that the speaker system for speeches was very audible. Overall, very intimate, warm, and memorable place. Highly recommend.

Very disappointed with the lunch we shared with friends. The Reubens sandwich hardly had any meat, and the meat was very dry. Our waitress walked away not saying a word when we expressed our concerns when we were asked how the meal was. Very over priced for the portion. (OH, and no pickles) Would not return.
