I adopted my dog Mellow about a year ago from this Humane Society. He has been a perfect fit for me and I am very grateful for the time and effort they put in to allow me to meet him and adopt him. The facility was very organized and clean.

I'm so thankful for the Humane Society of Marion County. They introduced me to my "Buddy Bear". He's a high-strung little guy, but with love, care, and a little discipline, he's turned out to be a good companion and my best friend. He's beautiful, kind and funny.

So happy we adopted our boy Colby from here! Everyone at HSMC are volunteers. They care deeply for their animals and it shows. They’re Colby’s family and we hope to go back to visit someday!My husband and I spent a lot of time going through postings on the Petfinder app, looking for the right dog (we’d waited for a few years for the right time). Colby is the one we decided on! We drove 4 1/2 hours to come see him. He himself waited a long time for a family of his own and I think everything worked out really well all around.Despite spending life since puppyhood at the shelter, Colby was well adapted to being with people and very friendly. They kept him in good health and gave him love for us until we could adopt!Nowadays, Colby is having a great time on his new adventures, and the volunteers from HSMC follow them on Instagram! We have kept in touch and they love to see photos of him in his new home.The point of this review is that we very much appreciate all HSMC did for us and our good boy! They are a wonderful organization from which to adopt. Beside the point of this review but if you’d like to see more of Colby, his Instagram account is @colby_not_a_greyador and he has a link to the HSMC’s page as well. Sorry for so many photos but he is a very happy boy.

Very THANKFUL for these guys!! I found a kitten on the side of the road as we were just visiting from Kennewick Wa. They helped me out by taking the kitten and not only that they were very kind people. Thank you for doing what you do and having the hearts that you do!!!

We are so in Love with our new fur baby❤She is the sweetest dog. I definitely would recommend. Kim came in on Sunday just for us. We had a very beautiful drive through the Ozarks as well & the bonus was Tilly!

I just adopted a perfectly loved and cared for kitten. So many shelters do not or are not able to socialize their animals. This baby got all zipped up in her comfy carrier, made an hour and a half drive, never made a sound, and slept the whole trip! We just got home and she's playing with her toys like she's been here her whole life. Thank you Humane Society of Marion County for taking time to help Gypsy Moonlight feel secure and confident so that she was able to transition from your care to mine.

They are the most wonderful Humane Shelter I have ever visited and love the animals so much.Really nice people and a very clean shelter. I got my sweet fur baby from them and was very pleased with Matilda.

The older kitties room was clean and had no odor. A volunteer took me in and showed me the kitty I saw online.

We adopted 2 of the sweetest kittens from here. It is obvious that they love the animals they have there and take great care of them. Our kittens were well socialized and the staff went above and beyond to keep us informed until the cats were ready to come home!

We were very impressed with this shelter and it’s volunteers. The place is very clean and has a more homey atmosphere than other shelters. The volunteers seem to truly love the animals and went beyond the call to help us place two different animals (a cat and a dog) we found abandoned on our property. They also helped us with a kitten we found, get the proper treatment needed and which we later adopted.

The people who run and manage this shelter, truly care for all animals. They always will try and place a homeless animal and offer a clean place for their animals to live. They care about the home they adopt to, to ensure happy homes for the animals.

Great place to find your next forever friend. Staff are all volunteers and they are great. Saving animals lives is a noble attribute.

They wouldn't take a stray dog from me they basically handed me a bag of food and said he's urs now even tho I told them my landlord would evict me for having a large dog
