This is the only pet store in town that sells fish. I wanted to replenish my tank but the prices are kind of high for me to get several at a time. We asked about the prices of their parakeets cause I wanted to add more in my cage and they were expensive too.

This is a small family owned business. We need to shop locally and support them . If u think the prices r high drive somewhere else and add ur cost of gas and whatever u purchased and see how much more u spend . It’s not expensive to have it locally and keeps u from traveling out of town . We buy snake food from them that u can’t get anyplace else unless u drive for miles . They r super sweet people too !

I am the owner. We are NOT closed and never have been. We only close 4 days a year. Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas. Even on those days we come in to do chores. Open 7 days a week.I don't know how to change the post that says we are closed. If you know how I can change it, please let me know. Thank you.

Fish tanks were disgusting. Absolutely filithy. Not well taken care of at ALL. The whole pleacd was cluttered and dirty and dont even get me started on the lack of customer service. I wish I could give this less thab one star! Some sort of inspection needs to happen, and some sort of animal welfare check as well. I just can't get over the state of the whole place. Horrible!!

The people were very friendly but they need help runnin the place. Boxes were everywhere so it was cramped. Lots of dead fish and nasty tanks. Bettas looked very unhealthy. The parrots were in rough shape, some with missing feathers. Went to the dove and pigeon gate and it was very nasty and there was even a dead one. One Guiana pig looked like it had been bleeding. The animals are not taken care of

This place should be shut down. It’s disgusting. No animals should have to live in these filthy conditions. Animal protective services should be called. I fully expected to get bit by a snake the day we went.

I went to this store when it was in Pine Bluff 30 years ago and it's still the same wonderfull people and the best pet store ever. Their selection of fish is unbelievable and the animals they sell are of great quality. They wouldn't sell an animal they didn't know well, temperament-wise and know it's breeding background. I was just there today and it out of hundreds and hundreds of tanks of fish, you saw no problems in any of those tanks, no disease, no culls, just great quality, healthy fish.

This place has one of the largest variety of freshwater tropical fish in Arkansas.. They do not have saltwater fish. The are reasonable priced. They also have birds,rabbits,guinea pigs,goats and other animals. Very friendly people.

After reading so many great reviews, I've been looking forward to coming here for months for my pet needs. However, I am greatly dismayed after my first (and, sadly, last) visit.Upon arrival, I immediately realized an inordinate amount of clutter, just from the outside. Entering, I was overwhelmed with the smell of ammonia/urine. In the entryway, there are boxes stacked and strewn about, filled with various (& mostly) aquarium/terrarium items with no real order or set-up.On down, along what I would label as the "first aisle", there are these nooks of shelves filled with different types of aquarium (aquatic & non-aquatic) pet food and supplies, all of which is inaccessible due to the boxes and dross piled nearly to the ceiling, riddled with dust and spiderwebs. Lining all the aisles of the main building and second building, there is an excessive amount of junk; some of which is pet-store related, and some not. 8 or so fresh and rotting tomatoes just randomly laying on top of these fishless aquariums (at least I hope they were fishless, given how murky and dirty the water was). Some sort of huge appliance was shoved in the middle, back part of an aisle, which I can only assume was a whole dishwasher?! There are shelves of non-perishable food and supplies (which aren't for sale, by the way) in the second building, reminding me of a doomsday/fallout shelter. I kept bumping into random objects, almost giving myself a heart attack thinking it was a tank that I was about to knock over.Lastly, and most importantly, the state of most of the aquariums were a nightmare, along with the state of the animals inhabitating them. Sick, sick fish, everywhere. Dead fish, snails and frogs... e v e r y w h e r e. Inside of the tanks and outside of the tanks. There was even a dead, solidified fish on top of one of the tanks. There isn't a way that it could have jumped out, since the tank's lid was sealed close and there was a shelf above it. The dead fish was taken out and left there. Many of the tanks were horrendously filthy and long-since cared for.Sickness. Death. Suffering.I wish I could better describe the literal overwhelming amount of unnecessary hoard that was crowding the whole lot, but I was so inundated with the state of the fish, alone, that my mind could not process everything that was going on."A hoarder's delight" is an accurate description.

Absolute best pet store around. The people who own are really friendly, and the know so much about fish. I love going out there, I buy something and soend an hour talking about fish. Will always go there before anywhere else.

Love this place. I have been dealing with them for a few years now. Friendly people, great products. I have bought lots of fish and aquarium plants over the years. I have never had a fish die and plants are always healthy. Don't let the outside looks fool you, it's cluttered but the tanks are clean and the fish and other animals are healthy. I have several tanks and would go here before anywhere else.

My go to pet store.. they have 100s of fish tanks, rabbits, goats, birds, furry critters, chick's, ducks, etc. Best part is their knowledge on how to take care of any pet you get..

This place is a hoarders delight.. several ill looking betta fish in disgusting bowls.. 2 itty bitty kittens in a cage outside with filthy water waiting for someone to take them home.. place is a monstrosity with know it all owners.. I bought fish after setting my tank up like several fish people told me only to have some die with in the first few day.. one was a 20 oranda. When i called he said theres no gurantee but he would give me another fish at half price.. i had already decided if i went back there it was to rescue a betta.. when i td the owner the info i had read on the ibterest he proceeded to laugh and tell me to believe what i want that hes been doing this 50 year.. wouldnt recommend this place to anyone until they take better care of the animals

Went to look for some goldfish and they had different ones babies and adults. There were so many different kinds of fish and the lady was so nice. I heard other animals but didn’t view them. My family love the cute little fish we got.

John and Barbara are amazing people. Their entire hearts have went into not only this shop but the hearts of others through their efforts with wildlife during their younger years. This shop has hundreds if not thousands of gallons of fish tanks. You can get anything from guppies, platies to ghost fish and more. They have live plants as well. Birds, kittens, bunnies, etc. Just call and ask. NONE of my fish from here have died. If anything, a guppy I got was pregnant and she's birthed over 70 live fry since August. Again, THANK YOU for all yall do and the drive is worth it every time.

Pets & Things has the best eggs and fresh milk (can only be sold for animals unless you go to the farm because of the law in Arkansas)! I always enjoy coming in and speaking to the friendly owners and staff. Mr. And Mrs. Wagner are very knowledgeable about a range of animals and have been raising a great variety for decades. Their prices on live items are very competitive and higher quality than big box pet stores.

Horrible place. I took a kitten there for a checkup because he was in respiratory distress. They said he was fine even though she was clearly not in good health. She died not even 24 hours after.
