I won a gift certificate for Pleasant Ridge Dog Grooming & took my doodle there for the first time today! Let’s just say, I’m upset I hadn’t taken her there sooner! They loved on my dog and gave me everything I asked for in a haircut! They also were so kind & worked around my crazy schedule as a teacher/coach. 10/10!

My favorite dog boarding facility! I have had to leave my two pups here for several short-notice trips recently. The staff is professional and friendly, and my dogs love coming here! They are accommodating to my schedule and have reasonable rates. I’ll be coming here every time I need boarding in the future.

We started using Pleasant Ridge Dog Boarding and Grooming around the beginning of the year (2018). Our experience has been nothing short of fantastic! The facility for boarding is extremely clean and no odors! We also use the grooming service regularly and it is also very clean, never messy.Penny and Laura are great with our dogs! The services are not over priced and very much affordable! We even have a friend that drives from Bella Vista to use them.

We have been going to Pleasant Ridge Grooming since June 2017. Our schnauzer has always been taken care and loved when she is there. She is always happy to go and happy when we get there. Lora loves her dogs and there owners. Lora gives special attention to all her fur babies. Ours is partially blind and she does so well with her. Her and Penny are one of a kind.

Stop removing my review or pay for your mistake!!!!Where do I even start? I have brought my 7 year old peekapoo into Pleasant Ridge Dog Grooming a few times without a problem but on about the 3rd visit, Lora Houck (“groomer”) stopped accepting credit card as a form of payment and insisted I run to the ATM to get cash so she “didn’t have to pay the fee” (I assume she just pockets the cash and only claims what she runs on cards). 8 weeks later my dog had bladder surgery which caused her to be over due for her grooming. Although I had a bad feeling about Lora from the last visit, I was in a crunch and called her for grooming (I made sure to bring cash🤦🏻♀️). I warned her that my dog was recovering from a big surgery and was okay to be groomed but may be a little nervous. She assured me that my dog is “great on the table” and that she will “take good care of her.” She called me 45 minutes later informing me that my dog was done and drying but “having bad anxiety,” and that I needed to hurry over to get her. No groomer has EVER told me this before so of course I rushed over to pick her up. When I got there she gave me my money back, and brought my dog out with a bandage on her tail. She told me she accidentally cut her and assured me that if she needed to go to the vet she would cover any cost! I know that accidents happen so I wasn’t too concerned at first, but when we got home and looked at her tail it was so gruesome that we immediately took her to the vet. She had to be sedated and get stitches in her tail. We later noticed that she was cut on all 4 paws AND her nose! We then called her and informed her of the $400 vet visit and she responded with “I haven’t been working much so I will pay weekly.” Despite this, with each week that goes by comes another excuse as to why she cannot cover the vet cost as she had promised. This week she has the “flu.” 7 injuries in 45 minutes is absolutely horrifying and no animal should ever be put through that. I do NOT recommend taking your animal there, as Lora has no regard for their well-being.Update: We have now had two more vet visits due to this tail injury. The tip of her tail died and had to be amputated. Lora is still not covering any of the cost! I called to speak with the owner but Penny (who is in charge of the boarding) answered and called me a few not so nice names on the phone and told me they only “scraped my dog and never cut her and that I should learn the difference.” 👀😱🗣🗣BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!🗣🗣

I used pleasant ridge today for the first time for my Toby's grooming. We were very pleased. They were so warm and loving to him. That was very important to me because he has a hard time being separated from us for long. They done a great job with his grooming. I think we have found our new groomer!! UPDATE**I have to add to this post unfortunately after the fact. If I had waited at least 24hours later I would not have written this post. That is when I noticed my poor little boy had bad clipper burn all around his neck from ear to ear. So severe there were spots bleeding with a bad red raised rash. Also a couple of other spots on his sides. It took me two weeks to get it healed up. also his hair cut was very choppy, not a professional looking cut at all. I hate to write this because they were very loving people, but they just didn't have the experience they said they have I don't think. I have emailed regarding this issue and received no response at all. Very disappointed.

Very very frustrating. I called last week to set up boarding for my dog for 5 days while my children and I go on our first family vacation we habe ever been truly able to afford. My dog gets car sick so taking him would be a hassle as much as we love him. I was told to bring him up the open at nine. I told them I would be there between 9 and 10. No one was there place locked up tight at 920 and again at 10. Google said they opened at noon today so in hopes I drove back up at 12:15 and still no one was there. So now I have less than 24 hours to figure out what to do with my dog and it is a freaking Sunday so yeah I'm pretty screwed. This will make my vacation as a single parent that much harder.

I took My dog here to get groomed! She cut is hair way to short and its not all even. I had to take my dog to the vet the next day because he had clipper burn on his balls. When i asked her why they were red she lied to me said she does not use clippers down there. I feel like she cares more about the money than the care of the pet. Very Disappointed not only was I out money for a job poorly done also was out money on the visit due to clipper burn.

We were new to the area approximately 11 months ago and someone dropped off a very scared, dirty, matted up, starving Cocker Spaniel young female at our house in the country. We fed her (5 cans of food over a couple hour period), took her to our vets office the next morning to see if she had a chip (nope), decided to get her hair cut and a bath to hopefully find her owner, we located Pleasant Ridge.I called asking if there were any short notice appointments available (nope) I scheduled for a couple days later, within 10 minutes the lady called me back and said that if this dog was as bad off as I said she was she didn't want to make me wait so she came in on her day off to take care of her for us.She found bullet fragments in her belly, her fur was so matted everywhere that she was unable to void the food she had eaten the night before until the fur was cut away. When she was done she looked and felt like a million bucks...that poor girl needed it so badly! She has since been spayed, obedience trained by a professional and is completely potty trained....I have to say she is so so so so ditzy but the sweetest dog.Back to Pleasant Ridge, when I went to pick her up (since named Piper :) they told me that there was no charge because we were taking in a needy fur-baby and that she needed us. We look forward to going back as soon as next week if possible for an over night stay with cut/clean for Piper and her fur-sister, Penny.Very clean establishment, nice workers that love those fur-babies. Highly recommend....and have several times.

We have boarded our dogs in 2 other places in Arkansas for our multiple trips over the past 3 years. This facility looks nice and the man who works with you at the front counter is kind and my dogs obviously liked him. That is where my kind words for this place ends. They called me on the 2nd day of a 15 night stay saying my larger dog had attacked my smaller dog leaving puncture wounds and a potentially injured leg. They said it didn't seem like he needed to go to the vet but I told them I would call back later that night and if he wasn't better I would give them my credit info for him to go to the vet.I called and left messages on both numbers for the next 13 days without a single call returned. I called upwards of 10 times. It was extremely distressing and made me wonder if another boarded dog had actually attacked mine and they were trying to avoid a lawsuit and more importantly, that my dog was sick and injured and no one was properly looking after him. When I picked them up they were filthy and the smaller dog had an obvious fever(hot nose and ears). I left them home alone briefly after letting them out several times and returned to a home with multiple piles of feces(some diarhea) from him being sick or possibly not ever getting let out of his kennel and now thinks it's ok to go inside. In addition to all of this, what they ended up charging me was the same as the vet's place much closer to my home that had none of these issues and would have given my dog proper care and picked up my calls!I cannot recommend this business. It is going to cost me a small fortune to have boarded here plus the resulting vet costs. I will not make that mistake again.

We took our dog in for a grooming just before the 4th of July holiday. When I saw my dog after the grooming I told my wife that we will never use this place again. Her hair was clumpy and uneven. It looked like a sheep right after it was sheered. Plus this was more money to groom her than another local board and grooming. I do not know what experience this person has but cannot be a long term thing. Just look at how many vehicles are parked there during business hours. NONE!

Not done well at all. Very disappointed. . Can only hope that my dogs' fur grows out again as soon as possible. Totally NOT bichon cuts. I didn't ask for a refund, I wouldn't do that. I even left a tip.. I am a coward, I don't like to ever say anything bad about anyone. But this time I need to say, honestly, that if you have bichons, do not go to this groomer.

Treats our animals like people. Has a tendency to spoil them alittle.Lara is a very caring person who really cares about her pations and their owners. We had a little Yorkie who was blind she was so good with her that she never once acted scared. Have another Yorkie who has Arthuritis in her low back and one hip. Lara is so easy with her that sissy acts like she enjoys it. Lara takes the time to give her a full body massage. This is the place to take your animals if you want them well cared for.
