I have used Marlene’s Pet Spa for several years.I have never had a problem until now.I was quoted $45 - for a light trim all over. I confirmed the price (over the phone) & when dropping him off. Upon pickup I was told it would be $65. She refused to honor the quoted price and did a full cut that I didn’t request. After I got home I noticed my dog had been over shaved and had blisters around his privates.Will not go back!

We love Ms Marlene!! She is the best with our Schnauzers! Our older schnauzers Molly and Bandit loved her and now our 2 newest schnauzers love her too!! Rosie and Ace. This is Ace our 13 week old, she did a great job on him for his first real haircut.

Marlene is very friendly, and the spa is very nice, but my baby has a whole chunk of his elbow missing as well as cuts throughout his body, so I won't take him back there.

Called to get a price quote for our Golden Doddle. Told her he was 62 pounds and not matted. He gets groom every month. She quoted us $70 to $80. Dropped him off at noon and was told to pick him up in 2-3 hours. He was not ready until almost 5pm. Then she told me $130 cash. I reminded her what she quoted us and she said that's the "going rate everywhere". She turned around and went back to the back of her room . No more discussion, very rude. He had a beautiful long tail they butchered. Will never go back. I have been going to New Hope Boarding and Grooming for 16 years. They have always done an excellent job. I will never leave them again.

Quick shoutout to Marlene and her crew. We always get the best service and grooming needs for our doodle dogs. About a year ago we tried a different groomer for a while closer to home. Big mistake, their ears were not getting trimmed and cleaned properly which resulted in a severe ear infections and rather large vet bills. That being said Marlene’s is the go to groomer in NWA.Thanks

Terrible job, we asked specifically for a cut, the result was nothing like the picture we showed. The dog has a triple coat and is not supposed to cut hair with machine and too short. She permanently damage the dog’s coat.

DO NOT GO HERE! DOES NOT DO PUPPIES! Did not cut hair.Did not trim belly around privates.Did not trim around rear end, specifically asked for this.Did only trim SOME knots, not all.Did HACK UP his face. Left it half done. One side shaved and one side, untouched, with beard.Did mess up his hair. Said they washed and brushed him but he looks like a ball of static electricity. Hair now dry and course.

I arrived for my appointment and called in. They answered and came out to get my dog. I left and they called me after a few hours to let me know that the dog was ready. I loved that! I tried shaving the dog on my own, unsuccessfully, and they did a great job on him!!! Thank you all!!! My dog is about 10-15 lbs and so he was only $45 for his hair cut! 🙌

I wanted so badly to like this place.Asked for a light trim...got her home to realize they shaved her entire belly, the rest of her was decently done. I called to understand why her belly was shaved like this to which I was told it’s to clean up the sanitary areas and is done every time. I would have completely understood if that was the case and only her private areas were shaved, not her entire belly! On top of that, if this was a common practice I would have appreciated and expected to be told this when I explicitly asked for them to give her a light trim. Needless to say, I will not be back.

REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE! I picked up my dog and everything seemed normal, when I got home my dog kept whining, I went to check on him and there was blood all over the floor...his nail was cut wrong and cut all the way to his root, it wouldn't stop bleeding. I tried calling Marlene's Pet Spa to understand what happened or why nobody told me about this, but they never answered or called back!!

** Update**. After living out of state for two years. We used Marlenes Spa when we lived here before right around when it was brand new. Excellent. Fast forward two years and we were not happy with the recent visit. Didn’t seem like our dogs were bathed, the groom wasn’t near the quality we remembered from here, and nails did not look trimmed on one of our dogs. Also the pickup was a little chaotic with the employee having he wrong total on the tablet (over $100 more than the actual total but still handed to me to sign 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️)….having to go back inside to fix. Pandemic might have stressed this biz out to the point of damaging its quality. Unsure. Shame too, we really liked the service prior.

They were very professional. The shop was clean and well maintained. The prices were not too high and my dogs came back to me extremely happy and good looking. My dogs are usually difficult. I have a maltipoo with some health problems that make grooming her difficult and a corgi mix that has some behavioral problems. Both dogs responded well there and I will definitely be a return customer.

First visit. Very clean and sweet. Dropped off my shitzu who was very much in need of a grooming. Much to my surprise, not only did they finish earlier than expected, but it was VERY affordable! I mean, I thought it would of been like double what it costim very satisfied, and at ease. My doggy is happy and looks so cute and adorable. They are DEFINITELY a place I will refer to others. Very happy. They did a great job.

NOT worth 1 star. I dropped my baby off at 830 AM, was given a pick up time of 12-1. At 1 we had not heard anything from Marlene's so we called, she (the OWNER) explained that an employee did not show to work so they were behind and my dog was still not ready or even half way done. I am INFURIATED at someone who calls themselves a professional didn't have the courtesy to call and explain what was going on after I explained to her at drop off that my dog is high anxiety and i did not want him to be left in a kennel SO the owner leaves my dog in a kennel for 4+ hours and she would have left him longer had I not called. FINALLY this woman has the audacity to tell me she didn't appreciate the way I spoke to her (telling her leaving my dog unattended without food, water in a kennel for 4+ hours was unacceptable) she told me to come get my dog and she didn't even to do the job I took him there for. INSANITY. I do NOT recommend anyone take your animal to this establishment. I have reported to BB and local animal services. The only positive about this experience is the business did look aesthetically pleasing, it is the only positive I have to say.

Do NOT recommend! I took my dog on Friday the 11th to get a BATH and I told them if the could cut only the upper of his eyes so he could be able to see. When I go pick him up they charge me and after they charge me they tell me they cut my dog tongue! He was bleeding and all they told me was to take him home and put ice. I had to rush him to a animal hospital, this wouldn’t of happen if they would of listen to me. I understand accidents happen but I clearly told them only a bath and to give him a trim on the upper of his eyes NOT on the bottom on his face! I use to love this place but after what happen won’t be back!

Either they do not have an appointment booking system, or they are just plain unprofessional/unreliable. Or their employees have zero clue about their operations. Or all of the above.Made an appointment for a cat grooming for late afternoon, and was told 45 minutes prior that it has to be postponed to the next day. Sure, not a problem. But when I showed up the next day, I was told there was no record of my appointment at all, the owner wasn't around, and was even told that they do not schedule appointments in afternoons after 1pm.So just who exactly did I speak to, to have even booked that appointment?Beats me, but I won't be going back there again. Even though the lady there told me "if you want". Nah.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt I had to address the fact that my dog waited 45+ minutes before I was even contacted that he had been done. The excuse was “I tried calling a couple times before I realized it was the wrong number. your number was too close to another client and got confused. sorry” then proceeded to tell me he’s been done for 45 minutes and he’s the last one waiting.. That is so unprofessional if you ask me. It shouldn’t take you 45+ minutes to realize you’re calling the wrong number!Other then having my dog wait in the back forever after being there for already 6 hours, I have to give them a 2 star. The cut wasn’t the best i’ve had done (poor cut job around the eyes and mouth) he smelled clean, price was expected, and she got me in within a couple days.. but having my dog wait around in a kennel all alone without even trying your hardest to contact me.. that just is upsetting. Overall, clean place. Wish I could of given more stars. I won’t be back unfortunately.

My mom's senior scottie got into some type of burr plant in a bad way on top of already being overdue for a grooming. I messaged Marlene at night and she responded early in the morning to let me know she could get her in that day to try to help her. I very much appreciated it and Annabelle looks and must feel so much better.

I paid $40 dollars for them to not finish the job. My girl was with them for 4 HOURS and they butchered her ears, and left a huge gouge on one side of her mouth. When we pointed these things out all we got in response were excuses as to why she couldn't perform her job. Awful customer service, and even worse "haircut" experience for ANY of my animals. Will NOT be going back there, and advise anyone else who considers to simply reconsider.

I brought my dog here for a bath. I do not think she had one at all. When I picked my dog up she smelled good, however she still had dirt on her nose and neck which is why she came in for bath.

I have used them before, but I will not again. I noticed that they took a huge gash of skin out of my dogs arm and they never told me about it! I called and talked to Leslie / Marlene and she said that she would have told me if she had noticed. It is a huge gash. I don't believe that it wasn't bleeding when it happened. Now I'm just praying that I can keep it from getting infected.

I've been taking my dog Nikko to Marlene since I moved to Ark. almost 2 years ago. These ladies are the best ever!! I told them Nikko had to have his nails drimeled and that was not a problem with them. Marlene talked Nikko through the process..She treated Nikko like family. He ALWAYS comes out gorgeous and happy.. Highly Recommended

they did a great job with my Schnoodle and my Toy Poodle. fantastic haircuts, trimmed nails,soft fur, and the bandana they put on my pups were icing on the cake. only issue is they put a Blue bandana on my Female Schnoodle. Still not a big enough issue to complain about.
