This business has inconvenient hours. I could only drop my dog off on my days off because I work 8 to 5 (like most people, right?). I also live nearly 45 minutes away. Their hours MAY possibly be more convenient to people closer; unfortunately, this is my closest option.The main reason I gave a low rating is because, in short, I noticed a number of negative things. They have lost my buisness for these reasons. 1) I had my dog's nails clipped here once. She didn't mind her nails clipped when I first took her to another groomer. She kept her feet on the ground and didn't offer any resistance. A month after I took her to this kennel I tried to clip them at home. She fidgeted and resisted the entire time. Her behavior did a 180 turn. 2) I dropped her off one day and was walking her toward the kennels. A staff member took her leash and said she would take her. My dog haulted, laid her ears back, sat down and would not budge. She is well trained, walks wonderfully on a leash and has been walked by many different people without any behavioural issues. My dog clearly did not trust this employee. 3) I brought her dog bed and they asked me not to bring it again because she didn't want to get up from it. She can be difficult to get off of her bed; even for me at home. They took her bed out of the kennel, so my 100+ dog was on a concrete floor and two little blankets.I have started taking her to another boarder. I am paying an extra $6 a night and driving two hours to get her there. I am glad I made the decision to do so. The staff there are wonderful with my dog, they supervise play time with other dogs and they were glad to post pictures on Facebook and take phone calls about how my dog was doing. My dog even did a play bow with the staff there on her first visit!! They have gained my trust and my business.

Getting nails done on a dog - they do good work. 10am - 2pm for nail work. They have great staff and the prices are alright. They offer a range of services.

I've used Dogwood for several years and until recently, I've always thought very highly of this business! Sometime in the past year, Dogwood changed ownership and staff. Everything changed! My last experience with them was horrible! I boarded my dog with them and had him groomed while he stayed. He came home with a UTI, most likely from drinking unsanitary water. As for grooming? He scratched and itched for a week! Smelled like wet dog; like he had been swimming in stagnant water, his nails weren't done, and they didn't even bother brushing him after the "bath". I will NEVER take my animals to Dogwood again! In addition to these problems, I was overcharged for both grooming and boarding! I do NOT recommend this business!

We were traveling in the area and found this place with great reviews. They didn't disappoint! They were very friendly and understanding with our young puppy. He was happy and healthy upon picking him up.

I left Mollie, my 4 month old Lab, at Dogwood for 4 days. When I picked her up she was happy to see me but seemed to be very content at Dogwood. In fact, there was a child there that commented how much she was going to miss Mollie. This tells me that Mollie had someone that played with her and that she wasn't just put in a kennel and forgotten. Mollie will be back over the summer when we go on vacation. It was nice not having to worry about our furry friend while being out of town. I highly recommend Dogwood Grooming and Boarding.

Twice a year I bring Pwent our English bulldog to the kennel while we are on vacation, we would love to bring him with us but he has gotten old and unable to walk to far, dogwood kennel has always taken very good care of him, he loves all the staff and gets excited ever time he knows he is going. I can't say enough good about Dogwood Kennel I know Pwent is very well cared for and loved when he is there.

We took our 🐩 poodle to get groomed for a summer cut . She came home looking like a wet dog from a fluffy panda bear . She was shaved down to the skin . We asked for her pom poms to be left and they shaved those off too !! Its was just embarrassing what they did to her and so sad for our baby !
