My dog is a rescue and we hadn’t established a vet for him yet. He began having breathing issues on a Friday and Dr. Hudson made sure to get him in to be seen - even though it was late afternoon and he hadn’t been there before. She and the whole staff were so attentive and thorough. Glad to have her and Briarwood as our new vet!

I have used this place as my vet last 4 years. Regular visits, wellness checks, shots etc. It’s a little more expensive than other clinics but I was ok with that since it was a once a year deal.Today I took my girlfriend’s dog that had a broken leg ten days ago to follow up. I have asked to see how much it would be, practically an estimate. They showed me a hefty bill to perform an X-ray and wrap a new splint. Nothing has been done and I decided to drive one hour away to the doctor who performed the emergency procedure and took care of her all the way in Hot Springs. So I ended up getting charged $85 for putting together an estimate, which is wrong.So bottom line is this place is good for routine stuff, visits, shots etc. I will not be able to recommend it for anything else. After four years, it’s pretty disappointing.

DO NOT USE DR. KELSIE PENNY unless you'd like to lose your pet's life, then please pay her a visit. She is responsible for my cat's death. I spent over $700 on trying to get treatment for my elderly cat and there was no sense of urgency, had a tech to give results of lab work. I had to keep asking for things to be done to get answers. She was going to send her home dehydrated on the final visit to do the re-check of UTI and if I hadn't called back in and asked for her to be hydrated this time, Dr. Penny wouldn't have done it. I have never seen someone so unprofessional and after my cat died on Saturday and I called to talk with her today to get answers, she continued to argue and try to put it back on me when I did EXACTLY as they said to do. I still don't know why she died and it's heartbreaking. So again, take your cat or dog to Dr. Penny and be prepared to bury it. Michelle Light

Dr. Hale was recommended by my wonderful neighbors. I was so happy with the staff (they are amazing even late in the day), Dr Hale, and the grooming section that my mini schnauzer will be coming to Briarwood from now on, and I’m switching my groomer. Thank you for taking care of him!

They were as expedient getting us in and through the process as one could hope for. The pups were quite at ease and didn't even complain when they got their shots. They're in our neighborhood and reasonably priced.

I came here with my little angel Priscilla for a irritated eye, since my vet was closed due to remodeling but it was a blessing in disguise I will now bring both my babies here from now on!!! Dr. Hale instantly knew what the problem was, prescribed her some eye drops I picked up there and here we are a few days later and her eye is all cleared up!!! I am so thankful to the Dr. and his staff they were all so welcoming and wonderful to my baby. Also when he examined her it's like he had always been her doctor, she is a chihuahua and was so calm with him, that's when I knew from now on we will only come here!!!!!

I’ve been taking my dogs here for a long time. They’ve helped me through good times and bad. Excellent staff and very caring! I’ve had Dr Hale, Dr Jacks and Dr Bell see my dogs and all three are exceptional.Newly remodeled front area, supplies are always in stock, has grooming/boarding services and clean examination rooms.

My little raccoon got super sick, Friday. Nearly died we aren’t sure how he made it till Monday. He could not breathe, walk, eat etc. These vets were so kind and helpful and they made Rocket a totally new raccoon & took him in despite being busy. He came home the same day and was much better. Great vets and techs! He’s now doing amazing!

Our White Siberian Husky, Apollo, has been going to Briarwood for several years to be groomed. Anyone that has a Husky knows that is a job with all of his fur! I love the doctors and staff here everyone is very concerned and polite they know my doggy name by heart and they are just super good with pets also the grooming department is awesome I would recommend this place to everyone it's awesome oh and the gentleman named Matt that works in the grooming department he is an angel he is one of the best groomers you can just show him a picture of the way you want your doggy haircut and he can work magic and also he has the magic touch when it comes to your pet he shows so much love. Briarwood was recommended to me by my neighbor. Since switching to Briarwood I don't think I'd trust my pets' care to any other vet. The staff up front gives you their full attention when talking. I never feel like an inconvenience. I know my cat is receiving the best care possible, which is extra comforting when he has to stay overnight.

I worked for Dr.Hale for 14-15 years. After my loyal service ,I found areas that needed to b addressed. I used my right for freedom of speech and posted a paragraph on Google plus. Thought of I just got some facts out there corrections would be made . I went on vacation January 2019. During my absence I received a call declaring that my opinion being spoken was uncalled for. I was fired over the phone and the hospital raised my boarding fee for my dog AsiaSky,to over a thousand $s. I miss my clients so very much and have not been employed since. I groom at home because I love it. I groom with a thorough eye for detail. I groom for quality not quantity. I am in transition stage right now but I am hoping some of my clients will see the truth that I'm in the area and never left the area . I will notify the public when I reopen my humble doors for small time business. Cheapest prices for one of the best experiences you and your best friend will have.

I truly liked the fact that Dr. Hale took the time to listen and to understand my concern for my beloved fur child. The staff as a whole was great on both sides the hospital and grooming. Plus it's a win win for me. I can take my beloved fur child to see the doctor, board him there as well as have him groomed all at one place. Therfore, he will get acquainted and feel comfortable with the staff. I'm very pleased with the decision to take my beloved fur child to Briarwood Animal Hospital.

I took my dog for the first time for grooming at their establishment. My dog is an old dog and wasn’t excited about meeting new people or being groomed. The staff was wonderful , considerate, compassionate, and tolerant of my dog and myself. I was pleased from the beginning to the end. They were timely and performed a great job of grooming my dog. Briarwood Animal Hospital is the place you need to take your pets for all their medical, grooming, and boarding needs. The medical staff is very informative of all your visits and the doctor treating your pet will personally contact you and let your know the results of your pet’s visit and recommendations are also made to you personally if any are necessary. They have an exceptional grooming staff and the facilities for boarding are excellent with exceptional excellent care while your pet is boarding. The whole Briarwood staff is friendly, very knowledgeable in what they do, and are willing to help in anyway they can to meet your needs for you and your pet. I am a very satisfied customer.

I took my cat from urgent care to Briarwood and I don’t regret it. My cat stayed with a high temp and no appetite in urgent care and did not get the care she needed from them. I came to Briarwood frustrated and unhappy with how urgent care took advantage of me and my sick kitty. Briarwood immediately stepped up, took my kitty in and that same day things changed for my kitty and they got her back eating again and got her temp under control. We are still in the process of finding out the reason behind my kitty’s sickness so all of this is to be continue. But I was able to bring my kitty home yesterday for the first time since well over 3 days she haven’t been home and it wasn’t possible without the staff at Briarwood caring for my cat. It’s been a long journey and I really appreciate their help and caring for my sweet kitty at this difficult time. All staff was very nice, caring, welcoming, understanding and helpful. I have no doubts my cat is in good hands now. Thank You Briarwood doctors and staff! 🙏🏾❤️

We have had nothing but good experiences with Briarwood Animal Hospital for the past 13 years. They treat our pets like they are family and keep track of them. Staff members who may not be part of our "care" when we go for checkups come just to say "Hi" to our two dogs. They really are special people.In addition to being such caring individuals, they have been wonderful to work with over the years. They give recommendations for preventative care, but are not pushy and leave the decision up to the family. When making recommendations, they are always upfront about the cost. When we have had questions, they have been patient with us as "parents" and have always explained things in a way we can understand.Lastly, I want to talk about their boarding facilities. The first time we boarded our first dog, Gracie Belle, she grieved for us like we had given her back (she was a rescue). They kept great records on her care, and called us to ask if they could try to get her to socialize with another dog because she was so sad. It made a huge difference to us to know that they cared enough to give her the extra TLC. When she needed to board the next time, she was perfectly fine without us in the care of these special people.I wouldn't go anywhere else!
