Really not the best customer service. I came in about 8 minutes before the store was to close. As I walked in, they announced that they would close in 5 minutes. I quickly went back to get my frozen fish and also wanted some vegetables to go with it. I decided frozen was a quicker choice. Went to frozen food aisle and found an obstacle course. The closing announcement came on and I couldn't get to the vegetables I wanted so went to the check out line, checked out and saw that it was 10:56 per the clock on the register. Was rather annoyed so I asked to speak to the Manager on Duty. The started to explain why they did what they did...apparently saying I'm sorry happened to you was much too much. According to him, they have to actually close before the posted closing time and they have to clutter the frozen line so they can avoid over-time. He also called the grocer manager to have him explain why they have to set up the obstacle course. He brought someone with him and to his credit, he actually did say he was sorry. So they wasted about 10 minutes of my time as well as a total of 3 of their employees. I recommend that they re-take the customer service training. Please, thank you, sorry, etc. are words that should be said when necessary.

Understaffed and Overcrowded! Seems like they should better understand supply and demand and dealing with the Snowbird crowd. Many items are often not in stock, or properly faced forward or pulled forward on the shelves. Too many items are pushed all the way to the back and hard to get.Carts are hard to come by. When the boys are out in the lot, they’re socializing and having fun and not hustling to return the carts quick enough.Ladies restroom is disgusting. The automatic flushers on the toilets are way too strong and shoot water all over the seats and you! Trash on the floor that is ignored for hours. They are understaffed, but those that are working there for the most part are helpful and pleasant, especially Pat, Frank, and Matt.Watch out for lots of old scary drivers in big trucks outside and scooters inside!

The customer service is horrible. I looked for assistance through the entire store and every employee but one older man was unable to help. Unfortunately, he worked in produce. He was very nice and did his best. No one tried. They were all having conversations, laughing and playing around. I stood by one of the cashiers and she ignored me until she finally finished her conversation with another employee. Very unfortunate since the majority of them are older, they should be familiar with customer service.

Nice pleasant atmosphere. Clean, open environment where there is room to breathe. The Pharmacy is busy, but relatively fast and very helpful. Good selection in the butcher and deli department.

Fry's has been the valleys grocery stores for 50+ years. Now, they are owned by the grocery company of Kroger. They have their own brands of food, so if you're looking for brand names, it might have been replaced by their own. Two types of stores are the regular grocery and they have market place. With clothes, small appliances, hardware, patio, toys, Starbucks, etc. Produce is hit and miss on freshness, like avocado, for example. Not so many check out clerks or baggers anymore. Huge self-service check out registers now. Prices are, in my opinion, too much. But that inflation for you. We usually never get out of there under $300 after two weeks of not shopping.

How is it that the largest, both in volume, size and highest costs, doesn't have self check stations that work? The self checks work fine at Walmart and at the Dollar General. Its ridiculous that I have to consistently stop checking and wait for an "attitude problem assistant" to unlock the machine. Machines often wont scan items, the dreaded to many items error occur Every Single Time, often twice during a single visit. We pay a premium to shop at this store and get checkouts that dont work, snarky and rude employees that seem to just not give a $#*@. The Pharmacy is a joke, all of the carts are in the parking lot.Common Kroger we your customers are doing our part, spending. Cant you at least meet us half way?

Store was extremely busy due to day before super bowl. This store is always too busy during the winter and always out of the necessary items, they do not restock during the day. I would rather shop at Walmart, at least they constantly stock during the day.

Wednesday March 6, 2024 at 3:40 PMDrove from hospital in Phoenix back home to Yuma. Stopped at Fry's in the foothills for fried chicken for dinner.... not one piece of fried chicken to be had! The store was packed with rude people. Not stopping there again!

What ever happened to customer service in this industry. Use to be service with smile .seams this days is to much to expect. Even a simple question is offensive for employees my interactions with a so call management employee was just awful I mean when a customer has a simple question a simple answer will suffice . Not attitude in return later found out she wasn’t even Management . When I ask for the actual manager Celeste is her name wish she listened to me and her body language told me I will file your complaints along with the rest of them up our butts . As a business owner my self of a huge Bay Area companies it’s my business to read people’s body languages . Cmon Area supervisor do better with your management staff it’s not that difficult customer service is till your bread and butter. 👎🏻

The pharmacy at Frys, 11203 S Frontage Rd is absolutely terrible! I asked them a week ago to transfer a prescription because we are just visiting here. The person on the phone didn't know what she was doing, didn't ask my birthdate or phone #. Then I was told, in person, it would be ready in 3 days, I kept checking on the phone & "still working on it", went in again & the line was long & people had been waiting over an hour, called again on day 7 & spoke to the pharmacist & she said it'd be ready today, rec'd the text that it was ready, went to pick it up... they can't find it! Avoid this place at all costs! It may cost you your life! They are inept!!!

I think they hired mentally disabled people to be managers. They have workers screwing around. Clerks that don't pay attention. People in Yuma are mostly elderly and need help. They don't have help here! Whom ever gives a 3 star plus is morally a vary bad bad person or a idiot!

This store was a 5 star store for the first few years open. I haven't been in since last year and it is worse this year. Dirty floors, trash on floors and in parking lot.Nothing restocked and the produce boxes at the end of the shelves are filthy more trash than vegetables. The deli area was disgusting empty, dirty old crusty containers in steamer. The zero personality woman behind the Asian Food counter was more interested in eating than cleaning, or even saying hello. The manager here needs to be fired because they are not a manager.

The store is huge with good selection of items, some organic BUT the parking lot is TOO SMALL.It can't effectively handle the amount of cars here especially when the snowflakes are here in the winter.

The wait at this pharmacy is ridiculous, only 1 person at pickup lane with 2 lanes. And the checkout takes forever as well. New system upgraded tremendously needed!

As a year round resident of Yuma I come here several times a week and this is my favorite grocery store. It’s always clean, the staff are great, and I can usually find what I’m looking for. BUT in the winter time when all the snowbirds arrive the parking lot is crazy. I support these retirees living their best lives here in Yuma but the speeding in the parking lot is so bad that I won’t bring my kid with me anymore, it’s so often that I can’t tell whether the person speeding towards me intends to stop. Fry’s, I can’t be the only one experiencing this. It’s honestly awful. Nothing like almost getting hit to ruin a good shopping trip. Is there anything that can be done?

Checker was rude & snarky. Her name was Leticia. Prices are misleading. Ribbed us off on several items & she didn't care one bit. The Foothills needs some competition. Walmart Neighborhood Market would be wonderful.

It's a great place to shop and find what you need. I mean. Compared to walmart... out in the foothills. It's nice. Why else do we give to frys? For those items you cant get anywhere else right...

We waited over 45 minutes in the pharmacy drive-thru line and we couldn't get out of the line because there about 6 cars in the line and when we get our turn at drive up window the pharmacy tech tells us we need to come in side now that he can't help us.

Never realized that Frye's is the Kroger of the southwest! Kroger brands are sold and Kroger value cards are honored. If you have fuel points built up back East you can use then in your rental car out west. Prices are competitive.

Clean and organized store that does a good job staying stocked most of the time. Friendly staff. Good prices.

I like Fryes. I'll start off with that. But I just discovered they are pushing the vaccine, which does not work and supposed to have countless side effects. They will give you $5 off your groceries once, but you have to have them inject you with this gene therapy they call a vaccine. I may be taking my business elsewhere. I havent decided yet because everyone there are always polite and friendly. Dont take the shot.

They offer the largest selection of wine and liquor! Always have sales of different products, which allows me to try different varieties of wine or liquor! 🍷🥃This is a BIG Fry’s! There is way more of everything than any other grocery store!Really busy though. I might try to go early when they open to beat the rush!

PHARMACY is the worst in winter. Wait times are crazy! Missing refills! And no medicines for people as out of stock. This pharmacy should know by now and be prepared for the winter visitors which they are definitely not. I'm so frustrated with this pharmacy.

Prefer this location over the one in town… by a lot… cleaner, newer, nicer…. You feel good when shopping here. It’s an overall pleasant experience and how grocery shopping should feel like. Downside is it gets crowded… I like to go in the evening or night to beat the heat and crowds.

One ugly on the inside and outside cashier scolded us for not understanding a sign posted up. She has no sympathy for the elderly, and audibly went on to gossip about the mishap with other workers/possibly Starbucks employees. Her obnoxious loud voice is grating.

3/4/25 Wife & I on the way to California stopped at Fry’s had to stop at Customer Service for information on a product, Susana in management was not friendly or helpful she was rude & to busy on her cellphone texting. So we asked another employeeLeticia who was at the self help register’s She was very helpful, knowledgeable & patient. If Leticia is not in management She should be!

A wonderful grocery store that has it all! The staff has always been friendly, and the managers are always ready to help. I've never had a long wait in line, even on big grocery days. I really do love our Fry's.
