Someone left a dog in a shed with a goodbye note. We called The Humane Society, who said they could take the Pitt Bull / Basset Hound mix. When we brought him in, they saw he was part pitt bull, and suddenly they had no room. Isn't this a picture of a pitt bull on their website?False advertisement!

Very friendly folks, exceedingly clean, most comfortable chair I've ever sat in. The pooch that interviewed me was knowledgeable and well-read, but he (Dagger) decided that my humble lifestyle would be too primitive for his liking. I would recommend him to others, for a spell he was bouncing off the walls, but after 15 minutes he was going thru the paces, sit down stay, and happy for an ear scratch . Would make somebody a swell pal.

Editing my review, I hope this shelter does some research on littermate syndrome. Recently we had to rehome one of our sweet boys before they permanently hurt each other.We had an awesome experience here! They helped place us with dogs that work perfectly with our family! Staff was super friendly and helpful, highly recommended adopting from them

Clean and organized, very friendly staff with quick service. Had good paperwork as far as care for the animal which was included in the take home bundle. Very pleased with my experience and the work they put in with my new puppy. Would go back for another animal when the time comes

Staff is so sweet. Took in a young mixed breed who was dumped at a rest stop. Donated $100 to their cause. Has such an amazing group of women who care for the animals. I really appreciate what you have done for all these poor animals. Not all heroes wear capes! Thank you!Heard about their snake training course, I can't wait to sign up! Also didn't know they had a shop, will definitely be supporting this place. Thank you so so much.

Went here yesterday to see if a dog was a good fit for my household. He wasn't, but I was very impressed with the facilities and the adoption counselor, Ginny. She couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The place is spotless and I could tell they really care about the pets in their facility. A bit of a drive from the Phoenix area, but definitely worth it.

Wonderful and caring staff. I Took some stray kittens in yesterday. Everyone was very helpful and understanding of the situation and best outcome for those beautiful babies. I just hope those kittens go to good forever homes.

Really like this no-kill shelter. Kinda small, but this is a small town. Can't visit the dogs, but they bring them to you one at a time in a visit room. Seems to work ok.

They had a huge batch of dogs that they neutered at 7.5 weeks and that’s way to early upon research im convinced it’s why we are having the problems we are with the one we got ! He acts very timid and scared of humans themselves I’ve done a lot to get this puppy to try to be ok and feel loved instead of frightened but nothing is working the slightest, very upset !!

This place is amazing. One particular staff stayed probably an hour after her shift ended to introduce me to dogs, because getting a pup a home was her priority. The environment is clean and all the animals are obviously loved by the people who staff this facility. The prices are unbelievably fair as well. I was so impressed with Wickenburg Humaine Society and can't wait to return to adopt our new pup

This facility is amazing and the folks who work here and care for all the critters couldn't be nicer. It is very obvious to anyone that arrives at the door that they all really love their jobs and the animals they attend to so well. A very worthy cause to support and we are so fortunate as a community of animal lovers to have them in Wickenburg.

Got a beautiful little dog. Her name is Lucy. I have one other dog Harry. He lost his best friend Charlie. Was very sad and lonely. Humane society matched them up. They are best friends now and play all the time. We are so happy.Thank you.

A wonderful Humane Society! Friendly staff who took us around to meet each dog and share all they know about the furbabies. Love the cat area. The cats are free roaming so you can interact with them!!

Very friendly staff, clean quarters. The staff is happy to have you visit with the animals. They want you to take time to know the puppies or adult dogs. Lots of cats too. Nice personal place.

I love this place, they are always very nice & understanding when I call. When I brought in a stray that I found, they thanked me for bringing her in. The one time I went to the back it was very nice and clean. Whenever I choose to rescue another animal I will look here first!

Had gone to pick up my mother-in-law cat which had just been spaded. When I went to pick her up they told me they check and see if she was done! We never received a call saying she was ready for pick up as we were directed! They closed at 4:00 and I arrived at 3:30. I wanted as the lady at the front desk carried on a conversation with another co-worker totally ignoring me! Then I believe it was one of the ladies helping with the spade and neutering Clinic came in and said she was going to go look at the animals up for adoption and they continue to carry on a conversation totally ignoring me. I walked outside to see if I could see are cats crate and it was not out there waited a few minutes went back in and they were still talking. Another young lady came in and was taken directly back to get her 4 cats, I just followed and started looking for my cat tired of waiting. I thought they were rude disrespectful I'm very inconsiderate. And this is not the first time that I've had this feeling when I walk into this location

During my lunch break I visited the Humane Society Facility of Wickenburg, AZ. I have 3 words to say about my experience. WOW, WOW, WOW!The people working there are pure Earth Angels. I was directed to visit the 8 cats in the cat room. I'm sensitive to energies and found this room to be a Sacred Sanctuary. The calming symphonic music playing, the clean room with just the right amount of comfortable places to sit, snooze, stretch, and snuggle for our furred friends, and the general energy of the room was of a very high vibration. I knew instantly I was in the presence of powerful masters. I was greeted by three who came up to me, purring and enveloping me with their love. Others came down from their perches. There is a cat door to an outside area for them to breathe fresh air and romp around and view the northern mountain range and blue skies.I received an escorted introduction to each dog I met. I was amazed how healthy and beautiful every dog is. I was literally blown away by their love and compassion. They too have fresh air, clean holding areas, with access to a temperature controlled portion for their comfort, plus there is a large fenced play area where they can run and stretch their legs.At this facility there was a momma dog with 6 puppies. She and her brood were in a special area inside, across from the cat sanctuary. The momma also has access to the outdoors too. Only the people working there are allowed access to the momma dog and her puppies. I did talk with her telepathically.Did I want to take everyone home with me? You betcha! Of course, we know this is not feasible. I did channel healing and love to everyone I met and felt more blessed than ever.I've visited county facilities in the Phoenix, AZ area. And I know what happens to our furred friends when the capacity exceeds availability. Even at the facilities that are not so nice and comfortable, a human can visit and just say "I love you." to every animal. There is an exchange of healing energy going both ways.Thank you Wickenburg Humane Society. You've got it right!
