Sadly, I can no longer recommend Sissy's Pet Grooming Salon. I have been taking my dog to them for 3 or 4 years, and have always had a great experience with Erica as the groomer. When I called to make an appointment a few days ago with Erica, I was told she wasn't available, and due to an injury, she might not return at all. So, I asked for a groomer that was 'like Erica', and they went over my dog's normal grooming with me over the phone, and made the appointment. She had her appointment today, and when I arrived, one of the bathers came up front as usual to take her back. When I picked her up, she wasn't up front as usual, someone had to go the back and get her. She did look cute when I picked her up (this is the reason I gave two stars, rather than only one) and I asked the man who brought her out, who had groomed her, so I could use them again. His response was "We all share, so I'm not sure." What?!? Maybe I misunderstood? He gave me a card for one of the groomer, and I walked my dog out to the car. However, when I picked my dog up to put her in the car, she yelped like she was in pain. I examined her, and found multiple razor cuts and abrasions on her tummy, on both inner thighs near her potty spot, and on her rear end near her rectum. I carried her back in to see if they had put any antiseptic on these, and what they would recommend. The lady who was working the front desk took a look, and said "Let me go ask", and she went in the back. She looked my dog over again when she came out, and said "This is normal, they will heal on their own", but then noticed one of my dog's feet had not been clipped, so she took her over to a table and finished clipping her foot, and also had to trim back a couple nails they had missed. She brought her back to me, and said "We can annotate her file that she is sensitive in this area....maybe put some Neosporin on the wounds for a couple days....and, next time, ask for a groomer to do her." WHAT?!? It wasn't a groomer that did her?? I asked. "No, it was a bather, and they sometimes don't use the correct techniques." Well, I did ask for a groomer - Erica - and, when she wasn't available, I asked for someone like her. She just repeated herself - "ask for a groomer next time" Well, there won't be a next time!! I take my dog to a groomer - to be groomed, by a professional - and that is what I pay for. I would never expect there would be any question about that! If I wanted her to have a bath only - then sure, the bathers can do that - but, I took her in for a groom, as I normally do. If you wanted to allow a bather to do grooming on my dog - then YOU should have asked me if that was okay! BTW - it's not! Now, I'm left with an injured dog, and a task of finding a new groomer - as well as letting everyone that I had referred to Sissy's, know that I can no longer recommend them.

The owners (Husband and Wife) of this lovely buisness are Amazing. I call for my patient, so we can get her dogs groomed and I have ALWAYS gotten right in. And NOT ONLY are they Amazing with the actual pets, but the way they treat the customer. They welcome coming in and they make sure you're helped when getting loaded up. They make the experience less scary for all involved. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💕

Surprised and delighted! We usually just give our dog a bath at home and the few times we've had his nails trimmed, they barely cut anything off. Our dachshund, Spud, was nervous being handed over to strangers. Bella was so kind and gentle with him. Upon returning, his coat was ultra soft, his nails looked amazing, and they were able to brush his teeth all for a very reasonable price, under 40 $s! Also, Spud was calm, not shaking as he was anticipating the event. 'Would highly recommend Sissy's!

I wish it was better. I took my dog for a bath and nail clipping. They said they called when she was done, but they did not. She was there 3 hours. Normal bath and nails takes 1 hour. I had to call. The tech was OTL and no one else there could tell me if my pup was done getting cleaned. Communication was poor. The bath and nails were good. It is stressful for my dog to be in a kennel that long. ☹️

We took our mini Shih tzu to Sissy’s back in August to get groomed. When we brought our dog home we immediately noticed a change in her behavior. She was not sitting, going to the bathroom regularly and just showing odd behavior. We called Sissy’s and were told they did not have any issues with our dog while she was there. After a few days we took our dog to the vet. After a closer examination a small cut was discovered. This which was a result of her being shaved and accidentally knicked. I spoke to Erica, owner who agreed to pay the vet bill. I emailed the requested documents. Initially Erica responded and stated payment would be sent but as of this date I have not received any responses from Erica nor has reimbursement been received. My emails have been ignored. I will not return to Sissy’s as a result of poor customer service and will continue to share my experience with others.

I use Erin all of the time to groom my 8 dogs. She is the most patient and kind groomer I have ever met. My dogs have been traumatized by previous groomers but I feel my dogs are safe and most importantly comfortable in her presence!

I highly recommend Sissy's Pet Grooming. My dog Kooper always gets excited when we come for his 'spa day' and comes out looking fantastic and smelling great. The entire crew is welcoming and super terrific with all the pups. Every single one of them are excellent, Kooper especially is attached to his girl, Erika. Thank you Sissy's for taking such great care of our #1 boy Kooper!

I’ve been going to sissy’s for at least eight years now and they never disappoint. There was even a time where I had forgotten there was an appointment and the staff was really nice about flexing and helping me get my dogs groomed. They always look so fancy coming out of the groomer much better than what I would’ve done grooming dogs lol. Nico is amazing. And the owners of the salon are incredibly friendly and caring about animals.

My dog visited Sissy’s for the first time for a bath and nail trim. The pricing was very reasonable, she got a bath, nail trim, eat cleaning, teeth brushing, and some other stuff I don’t remember. I have a lab mix and never really thought she needed to be groomed but she is so shiny and her fur feels great I will be bringing her on a regular basis! Very pleased! She also was wearing a cute bandana when I picked her up!

This place is a joke. Unprofessional and nasty owner named Erica .I took my girl there today for her VERY FIRST GROOMING - SOMETHING I MADE EXTREMELY CLEAR BEFORE HER APPOINTMENT.Erica - the supposed owner - carved a chunk out of my dogs neck and had the nerve to cover it with a scarf and charge me $68. I looked when I got home to see the ridiculous chop of a cut and called to ask what happened. Erica screamed at me and said it was my dog's fault for moving..!!!! She then hung up on me after yelling at me to come get my money .. I tried to call back about 20 times because I paid with a credit card so I'm not sure how I was supposed to come pick up my money like she told me to. Nobody would answer the phone. I ended up having to call and dispute this entire transaction with my credit card company. What an unprofessional experience and my dog was so scared and upset since I got her home.

I just went in with my dog to get his nails cut. A you get guy went to grab my dog knowing my dog was scared,didn’t even try to make sure my dog was comfortable before bringing him to the back,I think it was because my dog was a pitbull. After he was done with the back he was doing the front and my dog sensed the tension and anxiety and my dog freaked out. A nasty Mexican lady came up to help the guy and rudely and roughly patted my dogs head. Like that was going to help? I’ve been going here for over a decade and never ever experienced anything like this. I will never go back and that’s depressing. My grandma passed away and I always told her I’d take her dog there until her dog passed which sadly,she is probably not going to make it through the year but I will never take her or any of my other dogs there ever again. I am very upset on the unprofessionalism I have witnessed in there today. That lady should not be a damn groomer. I am a certified caregiver and something like those careers you need PATIENCE.

I am a very nervous dog mom, and do not trust many people with Tomac. I have been bringing him to Sissy's for iver 3 years, and have always had a good experince! Niko is a rock star and knows me and Tomac by name and always treats us well, he is even patient when I have questions (which is often). Not only did they have a spot right away, but my dog is special needs, and we were afraid that she would be "uncooperative," but they took her right back and made her look pretty :) She even let them trim her nails!

I have been taking my 2 dogs to Sissy’s for over 10 years. We travel over 20 miles every month to see Nico. We trust Nico so much we didn’t hesitate to take our new addition “Bella” to visit him. Thank you so much Nico! She looks Beautiful!!

Jason was absolutely incredible with Phebie. With the immaculate salon and assurance that everything was sanitized between pets, I felt comfortable leaving her. My mini schnauzer had her first cut and we will certainly be loyal customers. Most other places I connected with suggested the grooming would be uneven for a puppy, but not Jason. He executed a pristine schnauzer cut. I was super impressed with the talent and care taken with Phebie. So excited to continue working with Jason and his team.

Rating negative stars! I took my well behaved, sweet Shih Tzu to this wannabe posh grooming salon. When I picked her up the guy (owner), whatever/whoever….told me she was not allowed to come back bc she couldn’t control her bowels. My dog has never had issues like this! I don’t know what they did to her but she was traumatized and I am appalled that this place continues to be in business!!

My Labrador Retriever went to Sissy's for the first time today. Thet went above and beyond! They worked really well with my dog. He has been acting kind of sad these last few days, before I took him to Sissy's. When I picked him up, he was SOOOOOO happy. Now that he is so clean and soft and CUTE and shiny, every body is giving him all sorts of attention and hugs and pets. He is so happy, holding his head up high. 10 stars. Would recommend. And they were super busy with tons of happy dogs and owners. Very cheerful and helpful.

Took a hairy mess puppy for her first haircut and picked up a model schnauzer...who in Schnauzer manner was covered in dirt and mud about an hour later. A good bath later and she was still the pretty schnauzer she turned out to be. Great job.

It’s one thing to have bad employees but it’s a different story when the owner himself has no morals or respect. I have been going to sissy’s for the past 2 years and it’s always been a little iffy taking my pets there. Some days it’s decent and some days it’s horrible. No consistency. But just recently I got into a verbal altercation with the owner and it wasn’t too professional at all, especially coming from someone who owns the business. Treating customers with respect is the foundation of any business and to see how he treated me as a loyal customer for 2 years kinda shows how he can uphold his business behind those doors. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Maybe the groomers were alright but when it comes to the OWNER OF THE BUSINESS. I don’t see this place lasting too much longer in Tucson.

They said my dog required two people to groom her because she would spread her arms and legs. Wow... and she was not welcome back. Okay....100% sure it was the groomers lack of experience and patience. She's a small terrier very sweet and well behaved. I have never heard of such a thing.
