Great store for me and my pets. .staff is very accommodating...the grooming area...is great ..I feel very comfortable bring my pets in...although my pets might disagree. I receive notification reminders about appointments in a timely manner. Prices are reasonable , too.

Petco at River and Craycroft has a very high quality grooming department. Chris is sensitive and kind with my elderly dog and his grooming skills are wonderful. He Schedules Bella to have the easiestAnd short appointment when the store is more quiet.

There really should be no stars... DO NOT use this grooming service. I left in tears after they shaved my labradoodle to the bone. They left her tail and head full like a lion? She looks freakish and is so upset now by this experience she will not eat or relieve herself. There are lots of grooming services in Tucson do yourself a favor and DO NOT go here. The staff also never apologized and still charged me over $100. Bad service!! Pic of my very sad dog who has no hair now on her body just her face😢 Just an update I HATE this Petco, still no call back from management or refund,and my dog is still traumatized/hides when we say the word haircut... pure white hairs coming bcak in her what was beautiful orangeish red coat. 🤬

I don't normally go to this Petco as there are others closer to home. Went for the vaccination clinic. Everything was speedy and went well. Rabies certificate was in my email before I even left the store.

While I have been pleased with our medium dogs grooming in the past, they have cancelled on me THREE times at the last minute which is unacceptable. Three strikes and they are out!

Visited the store in order to browse for some supplies and I was pleasantly surprised by nice the experience was. The store was very clean, well equipped and stocked, and best of all, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.

Absolutely pathetic customer service. Today Jan 16th, 2023 I went in to use an in store coupon that was expiring today. They had the cat food I was looking for but it was 16 months out of date. See picture. They refused to honor the coupon for an online order, and offered no other solutions AND no apologies. Old stale food and zero customer service. Will go back to ordering from Chewy.

The store is really clean and well stocked. The employees are awesome! I came to the store and needed a brush for my new puppy, and the groomer (Hannah) came out and assisted me. So thoughtful to take her time and show me.Then, checking out the cashier was very polite.Thank you, petco employees! Customer service at its best!!!

Best service ever! I don’t know what anyone else is complaining about. When it was recommended that my dog should be shaved it was explained to me that it was necessary because it was extremely matted. I understood the explanation and let the professionals do what they know how to do after thoroughly explaining the logic. I wasn’t going to argue with the professionals, as logical reasoning was applied. They offered solutions to prevent further matting by simply brushing/combing my dogs coat. What a concept?! Understanding, the well explained solution and treatment, I proceeded to let the professionals do what they do. They also explained how Vetco offers vaccinations and other varying services listed per location on the website. Thank you to the River Road Petco Team! I appreciate your attention to detail and considering my pets best interest for future health and wellness.

After I couldn't get Gloria I went to another pet store to get my dog groomed. She looked absolutely awful!!! I could have done a better job. Never been disappointed at Petco. Gloria is just fabulous as are several of the other groomers.

Went in due to our fish passing and having our water tested. The refund was smooth and JC, their animal Manager, assisted us with not just the refund, but also testing our water. She also provided us with endless information, kindness and was completely judgement free to our situation. We were really bummed about losing our fish 😞JC was super sweet and I appreciated how much time she took to help us and also educate us on getting their app to price match some of the products that were available through the app at a lower price. You can tell she truly cares about what she does and she does it well! Thank you for all the help and new knowledge! She is wonderful!

I was looking for a specific, over the counter, ear medication that I know works for my dog. I went to a different pet store and they didn’t have it. I went to Petco, couldn’t find it, asked an associate and they determined it was in stock and they found it for me.

The worst experience buying a betta I have EVER had. I went to check out and the man at the register starts GILLING ME about the size tank I was getting which was a 1.5 gallon (which the sell there at thier store btw)He said " these fish REQUIREa 5 gallon tank minimum and he would not sell me the fish if I did not have that size of tank and on top of that he said I should have it had set up first!!!So I asked for a manager and as he was walking away said good I don't want to argue with you anyways as if I was the problem... Like who do these people think they are? THEY SELL 1 GALLON AND SMALLER TANKS FOR THOSE FISH!! He made me feel awful. I'm continuing this all the way up... uncalled for...

I bought a big bag of dog food from this Petco and it developed bugs. When I brought it back yesterday, they refused to return it and vaguely and reluctantly offered me a discount off of another bag without providing any details. I left the remaining bug infested bag of purina pro puppy food on the counter. I do not feel comfortable buying dog food from this store again. Neither the clerk nor the manager were helpful at all, telling me the store policy didn’t allow them to return the bag of bug infested dog food because too much had already been eaten. Sad, I would’ve bought 100 more bags from them over the life of my dog, but now I’ll make my own dog food. Stop buying ready-made dog food, it’s all the worst stuff and Petco is just profiting off of it. It doesn’t seem to really care about what they are selling or the quality. They definitely did not stand by their products in my case, and with all the competition from Amazon and online sellers, I would think petco would focus on customer service, but they are just another corporate entity they doesn’t really care about the individual customer or dog.

Smaller store than the others. Still out of stock on petco food. Went ahead and changed brands. It’s tough when traveling and can’t get supplies readily. But, since all of the stores were sold out perhaps it’s a company issue. Or, someone may not be ordering. Hard to say. Could not find help at this one. Sorry.

The petco website says cockatiels should be from $80-140...theirs are priced at $250 and on SALE for $180. Those poor birds are going to spend their entire lives in this poor glass prison at those prices. Absolutely heartbreaking.
