We loved the great selection of baked goods. They were delicious. However, my husband waited way way too long for the sandwich line. The guys making sandwiches were slower than snails. I had to ask for help because they were ridiculously slow.There was a large selection of alcohol, cheese, sushi, fresh produce, etc...a fun find!

You don’t go here for deals you shop here for quality. As always this location is clean and a friendly staff. The place has such a great feel and vibe to it.I would suggest though when people are taking pictures to do a nice review or a bad review, don’t be so mean if they’re not getting pictures of customers or workers as this in these kind of reviews can be very helpful to you. So unfortunately I gave 3 stars. Free advertising is very valuable and corporations love money and free advertising. No customers were included so no privacy was violated or compromised.

After a bad experience with Starbucks, it let us to AJ‘s to get a really good coffee. You’ll have to get a number when you come in but their service is impeccable. The price point is exceptional. A very nice store.

Outstanding products and almost all the staff are superstars.There are a very few that could benefit in either an employment change or in better understanding of customer interaction/training.I don't expect to be brown-nosed or fawned over...but maybe DON'T tell a customer that your day was great up until you had to start helping the customers that have come into the store that you are PAID for HELPING the customer and then proceed to tell a customer that you don't have any vegetable pizza slices ready as you are cutting it and putting it on the hot table next to the pepperoni and cheese pizzas.....it was NOT a CUSTOMER ORDERED pizza, it was a sale by slice pizza.

Stop in for a little drink date with my mother. Give the blueberry hibiscus tea a try and was definitely not disappointed.The atmosphere to a j's is really beautiful and the selection of everything that they have was overwhelming almost. I'm excited to go back and try some of the cheeses that caught my eye

Nice little supermarket. They sell lots of particular stuff and it's a bit pricey, but everything is really good quality. I love their fresh tuna spread and their coffee selection. They also have a great collection of cigars. My husband bought some for a party with his co-workers.

Upscale store that is well organized. Everything from organic and fresh produce to delicious pastries, imported cheese and a good selection of wines. There are gifts to be found along with flowers and cards. All your shopping needs are met with high quality foods and drinks. Staff is friendly and there is plenty of parking.

Love this place.As always, if you're looking for good prices, no matter where you are, you have to shop the deals.Very good to excellent deli and pastries. Tha pizza us great too.The sandwiches are also very good. However, the wait makes it unrealistic unless you're retired and not afraid of dying while you wait (25 to 30 min.or more).

A great mix of interesting products, including a large collection of local, an excellent curio area for gifts, too-notch meat/seafood counter, and I especially love the sushi (best in town) and grill counters. A little pricy in comparison to other stores, but always a pleasant visit.

Good selection of groceries and produce. I like coming here for any prepared foods from the hot bar, deli counter, and sushi bar. I also love buying my meats and fish here.

If you need groceries or alcohol pronto then this is the place to go. The prices are higher versus other groceries stores, but keep in mind everything is fresh and top quality. We ordered a pizza on Halloween and it was really, really good to my surprise. It was a heavy pizza too. I give the grocery store 3 stars and the pizza 4.5 stars.

AJ Fine foodsA very upscale grocery store….it's for when you want to splurge. It's a top-notch food store with lots of high-end items. It's a gourmet food store.Remember, it's not about food only, It's also about expectations. Everyone is understaffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. It's in a strip mall area, so parking was plentiful, but I could tell that it would fill up fast as it seemed to be one busy place.I found that staff were more than willing to help me and most of the time would actually walk me to an area that I had questions about rather then just give me a general directions and send me on my way. The store was clean and well organized, and They do a good job of trying to serve people the best way they can and make sure they have plenty of cashiers.If you're a person of a certain age, their already prepared items are extensive.They have a great bakery and lots of choices of pastries, cakes,torts and bread. Most their mixes come from Europe.They also have a mini indoor sushi area where you can sit or get sushi to go. I know they try to use fresh Iocal, organic, produce, with fresh being the operative word in.there salad bar and their vegetable and fruit section. Produce is well organized and looks almost perfect. They are mostly local, and they have almost anything you could want at a high-end store megastore like Whole foods or some chain grocery store like FrysThey have a hot food line, their chefs, and prepare a corporate menu plus two additional items added with the chef's creativity. They serve breakfast 6am to 10pm, lunch 11 to 3pm and dinner 4.to 8pm…. You have to call them to get the menu… Their website also has the menu and the to go menu..…There is breakfast, 6am to 10 am on Saturday and Sundays. With an omelet bar on Sunday.They have a taco Tuesday from 11 to 3 PM.They also sell some pizza by the slice every day, which is outstanding.Thursdays They have lasagna lunch from 11 to 3pm and pasta from 4 to 8pm. They had Chicken Parmesan the day I was there.They have diverse collection of domestic and imported wines, beers, soft drinks, health drinks, and spirits. They have wonderful selections of single beers, health drinks, and soft drinks. Their rye whiskey, bourbon scotch, hins, and vodka have depth and quality.Across from their wine and whiskey area. They have a tasting area and a nice selection of cigars in humidors.They also have a nice selection of fresh meat and seafood in their counter area.They also have a wonderful fresh flower area.Again, you're gonna pay more. But the quality is worth it, in my opinion, especially if you're into gourmet food. Hot food options are really nice for someone of a certain age. It's definitely worth a look.

I've enjoyed Aj's sushi and sashimi for many years. I purchased their Spicy Tuna Roll this evening. It has to be the worse attempt at a tuna roll i've ever had. The rice was ridiculously moist and the whole roll just fell apart. Perhaps there is a new sushi/sashimi chef/assistant in the building? In which case the management need to get this individual trained or reassigned ASAP.

I've been shopping here at AJ's for years. The location is wonderful from the beautiful Tucson mountain views and the lovely fountain in front of their market. The best part is walking through the doors and being greeted with kind smiles & offered the best customer service. It brings back memories for me because there are so many taste sensations i get just walking through their beautifully displayed isles. There are so many choices to choose from weather it be from their fine bakery or fabulous bistro. There also are imported goods that bring back many fine memories for me. The best part is you will always find what your looking for & if you have any questions they will do there very best to answer them. There is an excellent catering service and the directors name is Krystal. She and Susan are amazing. Ask for their business card especially if you want the catering done just right. I asked one day in advance for a delicious blueberry breadpudding and they had it ready for me so quickly. I am including a photo and i still have a smile on my face writing this. The customer service is exceptional and the go above and beyond. Please take a break from the monotony and step back in time for a day just to experience the most wonderful market in Tucson.

Went looking for chicken wings for Super Bowl Sunday. Couldn't locate any in the entire store. Fresh frozen or otherwise. We were hoping they would have bigger ones than other stores. No such luck! Had to go to the evil empire of Arkansas.

AJ’s has. 2 for $2.00 large iced tea going on until the end of the month. September’23 that is.Staff has always been pleasant to deal with. Granted some of the guests are just obnoxious.Really like the meat department and selection, as well as the sushi specials, can assemble a great charcuterie board.The bakery counter items are better than the prepackaged items for us at least.It’s a nice store , convenient, and has most of the staples on the higher priced end .

Ordered a cake for a small birthday gathering Friday evening to be picked up Sunday early afternoon. Was called a few hours before promised pickup time to be told "they didn't receive that size anymore." There are several problems with this. First, it left me in the lurch. Second, they wanted to make a much, much bigger cake than we needed instead at a higher cost. A manager was then very surprised at the cost I was quoted for the original smaller cake as it was apparently much too low. To her credit, she agreed to honor that price. The biggest issue is that I was originally assured by TWO bakery workers when placing the order that the cakes were totally made in house. The manager told me that is false and that they arrive frozen. She stated the employees "must have been new." No, they weren't. They lied. I cancelled the order and will look elsewhere last minute. High-end store?? Not so much!!!

AJ’s was as always a pleasant experience. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Walking the aisles and shopping throughout the store is delightful. I rounded out my morning with a trip through the salad bar, many fresh and appealing choices. Dined on the patio, love the patio. Highly recommend AJ’s to any seeking a day out.

Sushi bar is horrible…the least the “chefs” could do is look up how to cut fish and/or cook rice? I mean, c’mon. The fish was butchered as if they were sawing the knife back and forth. The rice was underdone. And I don’t know what the other people (who think the sushi is good) are smoking…it’s unfortunate that there’s no effort made to give justice to this food…

Can't Ever Thank Mark Enough! Mark is everyone's favorite. There are a lot of great guys at AJ's butcher but how do you not love Mark? He is so sweet and friendly and he cuts the best grass fed steaks just for us with a smile. He is such a pleasure. If you haven't been to AJ's Butcher shop in the back of the store, you will find so much good stuff that they sell, pre-make, they even marinade for you. ALL of the shrimp is WILD CAUGHT, store policy and the seafood and ground meat is the best in town. This is the most beautiful grocery store in Tucson so if you hate to shop, or love to shop, try AJ's and say hi to Mark. He's the BEST!

Great bakery selection. Nice salad bar. Overall, a nice store with upscale groceries and a beautiful flower shop I ordered the Goddess greens sandwich which was just okay. I would only give the sandwich a 3. There were only sprouts, onions, and avocado on the sandwich for greens with a slice of homemade mozzarella. I would have expected a few more veggies. Not very flavorful and a boring veggie sandwich.
