I am so disappointed in the paint that I bought at this store. I am partially to blame as I was going to Ace for Benjamin Moore paint and went here instead, my first mistake. The gentleman that waited on me was new and when I realized I was at wrong store the paint I had picked up, easy care for cabinets, he informed me was as good as Benjamin Moore paint, second mistake. I questioned myself on the way home, how would he know he was new. I decided to paint the cabinet, third mistake, it doesn't even begin to cover, it doesn't lay down as good paint does and in some areas I am on a third coat of paint. Please do not make the same mistakes I made as my dad always says you get what you pay for!!!

Not crowded . The layout made it difficult to find things. The staff was friendly. They were out of one of the items I needed, but found an adequate substitution.

The manager and the sales associate at the register were the most friendly, welcoming, wonderful people. I was on the hunt for a very specific metallic paint that I couldn't find anywhere until I found one in stock at this store. The manager held it for me and when I finally got there he greeted me by my first name and with a smile on his face and the forever young sales associate at the register helped me pick out a new hummingbird feeder. Even though I live about an hour away I'll be back. 😉 With the world going to hell in a hand basket right now it's really wonderful to meet people like them.

We went in to buy a traditional Weber Grill. We asked what tools were necessary to put it together because we needed to borrow them (we were new to the area and the movers hadn’t arrived yet with our stuff). Anyway, the friendly folks at this store graciously offered to put it together for us. We’re loyal customers now!

I was followed, but never offer help. Whole I looked for 2 items I wanted. There was at least 5 employees working and not a single customer in the building. I made a joke at the register were 2 senior ladies stood waiting for me to leave. I said "you're a little over staffed today"...nothing in response...I should have walked out. But I bought one item, and will never return to this store again.What a horrible experience...Why are they even at work, they were all over 65 years of age. They should be home, right...I hope they don't get sick.My rant is over...If you want friendly customer service don't shop here.Unless maybe your golfing buddy works here you won't see a smiling face at true value in Sun City West.Go...To...Ace Hardware in any city, they treat people like family.

Usually an excellent place to shop. They recently remodeled their hardware section, which was a much needed improvement. While they were remodeling, I asked several times about purchasing the old hardware organizers and was told that the old organizers would not be for sale until November 1st at their parking lot sale. I left my contact information in case they became available earlier. When I arrived this morning looking for these organizers, I was informed they had already been sold to someone else in advance of the sidewalk sale. When asked why they were sold earlier instead of the promised time, the response was a shrug of the shoulders and mumbled, conflicting excuses.

Sunwest True Value carries all the hard to find repair items that were used in the construction of the homes here in Sun City West and more. The employees are wonderful, will help you find anything you need and, when necessary, will tell you how to do the repairs you need to do at home. We've shopped here for over 24 years now and have never been disappointed.

Bought a gallon of premium paint was not offered a stir stick nor opener, at $33 and change a gallon you would think so. Time to go back to Ace tired of the incompetence at this True Value store.
