It is wheelchair accessible.Parking: One HC spot, but plenty of parking both asfault and dirt.Fees: There are no feesRestrooms: There is one toilet at the beginning of the parking lot.Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly. pack your own poop bags and you must carry out. Took trail to Oak Springs. First mile from parking lot fairly flat through timbered area. Had to cross road to continue on trail. Next section 1000 ft elevation change, some straight up, some switchbacks . Drop down to the Springs. This area very nice. Overall good hike.

On Good Friday of 2021, I needed a break away from the city had company holiday off and wanted to add some fun anywhere not too far from Phoenix. I love discovering new outdoorsy. Hiking trails specifically. This hiking area has many trails to offer. I’ve only done one see the picture. Drive time Took less than two hrs drive one trip. Weather is much cooler maybe 10-15 degrees different. It rained during the afternoon so make sure you check the weather constantly. Wear tennis or boots shoes, Dress In layers or bring extra clothes always come prepared if you’re hiking and grabbing food afterwards there are local restaurants the area not far. Spent a half day, got there 9:20am hiked two hrs, one hr in strawberry museums, two hrs eating, left 3:30pm back in Phoenix before 5:30pm. Enjoy!

Lots of hiking trails which are all different levels. I only hiked one down to the creek and back and it took an hour and twenty minutes was up and down some hills but I am not in shape but could do it. I went in the later afternoon last week of March and saw a few people on my way to the creek but nobody on my way back. If you are looking for quiet, cooler weather, clean air and a nice pine smell in the air this is the place for you. It has a vault toilet and the toilet paper was stocked yay! It is only a couple hours if you are coming from Phoenix.

Great trailhead that they seem to be improving. Parking, bathroom, maybe some camping, close access to Pine, access to the AZ Trail. I took the Pine Canyon Trail and it looks like it's had some recent work, as it was in amazing shape. Well signed, but be prepared for climbing... Something like 1000ft in the 1st 5 miles.

Beautiful trail with a gradual elevation gain. Go early or on a weekday to avoid heavy trail traffic. Popular with hikers, trail runners, mountain biking, and horses. Incredible views! The trail is well maintained and easy to follow. Easy to moderate hike.

Great area to hike and see nature. We took the easy route but it looks like there were several more difficult routes as well. Highly recommend visiting.

So far, this is one of the most beautiful places I've stayed in Arizona! You may camp or stay in your RV for two weeks at a time & wake up to glorious hikes from fairly easy to difficult. The stars at night captivate you around a campfire. During a full moon, she will light your path for a night hike. There are also elk who come down to graze at the trailhead if you enjoy wild animal photography (I'll add those images soon!). Meet people from around the world. Fellow hikers, mountain bikers and horse riders gallor! Pine is a cute, artsy village within walking distance which has shopping, restaurants & a great tap room. Another adorable village, Strawberry, is right around the corner also. The locals treat you as an lifelong buddy & the town of Payson is a vista-filled, quick drive, 15 miles East to load up on supplies. Last but not least, there is a sublime swimming hole on the Verde River nearby to cool off and sunbathe on the surrounding boulders. A definite MUST if you are anywhere near this area!! happy trails!

Awesome hike. This is an amazing hike which is not hard to do and takes an hour and a half walking at a leisurely pace and taking some breaks. I do this hike often by myself but today I took my family including my wife eight year old daughter and my 15 year old son. We all enjoyed being in mother nature and beautiful weather. However, my wife saw a rattlesnake. I am attaching a picture of the rattlesnake. Be careful out there!

One of many nice trail available from the Pine Trail in the town of Pine. It links to many other trails one being The Arizona Trail that gives you the opportunity to choose to hike to either Mexico or Utah. You can also of course camp along the trails.

Very nice trailhead. Lots of trails to choose from. The one we wanted, the Arizona Trail, going south, there are no signs for. Thankfully, I had Route Scout on my phone and eventually got on the right trail.Parking: Not a whole lot of spaces. It's a busy trailhead.Fees: It's free.Restrooms: Just one pit toilet. When I was there, there was plenty of TP.Dog-friendliness: Be careful. Some trails are easy on your dog's paws. Some are very rocky.

Really fun trail, would recommend at a minimum hiking shoes. If it is raining some of the trail is extremely slick and walking poles are nice to have. Also the trail runs thru two rivers so pack extra socks in case the water level is high (it was for us).Fun trail with pretty views of the surrounding areas.
