Sent my labs here at the hotel during Christmas for 6 nights. When we dropped them off Churro was a very healthy weight. When we got him back he was emaciated. No calls about him not eating, no calls about him throwing up except for only one instance. We sent him with just enough food for the stay and a little bit extra. When we got him back he had more than half his food left. Not happy. Sick dog. Won't be coming back

My dog LOVES this doggy daycamp. The store staff are always sweet to any dogs in the store too. I’ve gone to the groomers a few times as well and they do good work. I haven’t been to this Banfield, so I don’t have a formed opinion on the in-store vet, but it’s nice they offer that service! I highly recommend the PetHotel, Groomers, and Pet Store 💛 Thanks to the PetSmart team for making a safe home-away-from-home for my most precious family!!

Anyone who has experienced a PetSmart store already knows they are great and staffed with helpful and very informed people. They did not have a screen top for a terrarium I was trying to find so one of the staff suggested another store unrelated to the pet industry where I would most likely be able to find what I needed. That was surprising and very helpful. A big thank you for being so helpful.

Izzy and Eileen I believe where absolutely amazing. Helped Me with a tank in my car and I felt so out of control but these ladies helped without any hesitation, it felt nice not feel like a burden to there already busy day. Much much appreciated from this mama.

I walked into PetSmart and saw that they were feeding the leopard geckos these weird veggie pellets. I immediately informed an employee that they're strictly insectavores and should not be eating vegetables, and that it can hurt them or even kill them because they're not meant to digest them. An animal specialist came over and I explained the situation to her. They told me that the vegetables were perfectly safe and that they were the standard at Petsmart. There were extremely rude to me and walked away as I burst into tears.My heart breaks every time I go into one of these stores and I see that none of the husbandry is right for any of these animals. I took a couple pictures, as I was crying. Within a couple of minutes, (not even exaggerating), FOUR employees came over and surrounded me in a circle and told me that I was not allowed to take pictures or videos and that I would have to leave if I was going to continue making a scene.Mind you at no point was I cursing at them, I was not yelling/ raising my voice even in the slightest. The only thing I did was cry and tell them that they can't eat veggies but because they saw me taking pictures they decided that they had to take action. I got a real kick out of hearing this video back and then telling me how "boisterous" I was being.I heard from somebody that PetSmart is under investigation for the neglect of their animals. Alls I can say is, about time! So the naked eye somebody walking past just thinks, "oh what a cute reptile", without the slightest idea that anything is wrong. People that are a part of the reptile community though and knowledgeable about what it really takes to care for these pets properly go in there and see these animals without their rose color goggles on and realize that so many things are wrong.From diets, to substrate, to heat, to humidity, to cohabitating, almost every single thing that these stores do is wrong when it comes to reptiles. My theory is that when they first open these stores they created care sheets, and I believe it's the years went by and we gain knowledge into how to care for these animals properly, the care sheets that they have were never updated with the times.The problem is now when someone goes to a store like this and asks how to go about taking care of a bearded dragon that they want to purchase there, or any other reptile, they are giving the customer all the wrong information. Most of the staff do this unknowingly, unfortunately there are ones that know better but can't and/or won't do anything about it.Please do not purchase animals from the stores. It took everything in my power not to walk out of the store with one of them today. I literally had to sit in my car bawling my eyes out knowing that one or most of these babies will probably get sick and/or die. But the truth is if I had purchased one or two, they were just restock them a week later and the cycle will continue. This is why the reptile community urges people not to buy from places like PetSmart. If you're interested in purchasing a reptile, the best place to go is a reptile store.

They only had one brand of ferret food not what I was looking for. I also saw a snake who didn't shed correctly there I believe the humidity is off in his tank. I think he needs some help.

petsmart my go to over petco. was surprised they have vegan dog food 😍 past year been feeding my fur baby instinct...will have to look in to this halo brand. the birds are always my favorite to look at, I do miss being able to hear them 😭

The staff are very friendly but the store has a weird setup that’s confusing to those not used to it. Kind of makes quick shopping trips hard. Like all PetSmarts, mainly everything is overpriced. However the main reason for 2 stars is the way they take care of their reptiles. They have them a lot of them in terrariums much too small, in groups far too big.Their leopard geckos are always underweight. My sister got one for her birthday and it was on its last legs but after a few months of being in a big tank with a good eating schedule she is now one happy, healthy, gecko. For the amount they charge you think you’d only be getting the best of the best but sadly that isn’t the case. I really hope something changes.

Petsmart Grooming:I usually don't have a problem with the grooming since we get my 2 yr old Maltipoo the same groomer every time (ever since she was a puppy). This time, we had to book another groomer (her usual wasn't available).About an hour or so later, we get a call that my maltipoo bit the groomer?? She never bites and this would be the VERY FIRST time she bit anyone aggressively!When my mother went to pick her up, our dog greeted my mother with kisses and excitement to which the groomer says "aww, so she is nice when she's not being groomed!". This groomer even told us that we have to have her sedated when she's being groomed??!!I'm furious! She's always been a good girl when she's groomed and her usual groomer would give us feedback and tell us how she did. Our dog usually loves her groomers and wants to kiss or play with them (this was what her past groomers would tell us). Even when little kids hurt her or someone plays too rough, she would never bite or growl (she never even became aggressive with her vet and she hates the vet!).I'm honestly horrified to think that they hurt her badly enough for her to have ever bit anyone. They left her groomed halfway and she looks awful. I don't think we're coming back to this place again. In the past, other groomers from Petsmart cut off two of her nipples by accident but we decided to give them a second chance (note: our dog didn't bite them either when they CUT OFF her nipples). If you ever decide to use their grooming then please do research on each individual groomer here or just DONT come here.UPDATE:I had to take my doggo to another groomer since the Petsmart grooming refused to finish due to their policies. I took her to a local one nearby and that groomer told me she was an angel to work with. The local groomer said she was a little anxious around instruments but never NEVER snapped or was aggressive. I stand by my words, "DONT come here". Local groomers who own smaller businesses will do a better job than Petsmart grooming. (Will post a review on local groomer for those interested and it will have a photo of how my dog looks after)Posted below are the photos of PETSMART GROOMING...

My Donzi is literally my child! I am a travel nurse who has no one in the Mesa area. I dropped Donzi off for a stay at the pet hotel and took a trip back to Indiana to visit family and close on a home I am buying. She had developed a bit of a limp just days before I had to leave that I had been keeping an eye on. They called me when they noticed the limp had changed and she was expressing discomfort, they scheduled an appointment with OUR vet and transported her to the appointment. Donzi has a likely ACL tear. I can't even begin to tell you how THANKFUL I am for the employees paying attention and contacting me! It makes me feel like she is in good hands and being kept comfortable until I can get back there to choose a treatment option for her!!! Thanks so much to all the staff at Petsmart hotel!!!

Dori in grooming is an angel. I’m so glad I took a risk and tried a new groomer. She was fast and his cut is perfect. She really takes time to form a relationship with the pets and the owners and made me feel good dropping my dog off there. He smells great and looks amazing and he left super happy. Also I thought the photos with Santa was so sweet. I had no idea that was thing until today. Thank you Dori & petsmart staff :)

It’s unbelievable that they would hurt my dog and not let me know. I understand accidents happen but it’s only right to let the owner know of the incident rather than not saying anything and letting him go like nothing.

One of the nicer locations, much better than the location at Power and Hampton. The layout makes more sense, the store is cleaner, and the employees are friendlier. My granddaughter loves the adoption center. Well worth the drive to avoid the other location.

We are doing puppy training. We are very happy with our Teacher. She is precise, fun, shows each person with their puppies individually and as a group.. we like the Employees they are friendly, to their customers and loving to each pet that walks through their store. This petsmart is wonderful! Great location with alot of parking. The store is very clean and organized. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. We adopted our dog back in august and she had her first groom this November here and the staff was wonderful with her and very communicative with me! I definitely recommend this location.

My boyfriend and I would bring our two pups here at Banfield to be seen. We lived close by, but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to move about 40min away and we still had an appointment set that we didn't want to cancel since our puppies needed routine checkups that we didn't want to miss. During one of the drives to this location, we didn't realize a part of the 60 was shut down which was going to delay us and make us a couple minutes late to the appointment. When we were about 5 minutes away, we decided to call to let them know we were still on our way. All we could hear on the other end was constant laughing and no response on whether or not our pups would still be able to be seen. We were still on hold and on the phone with them when we arrived and still within time of the appointment. When we showed up, the lady at the desk gave us attitude for being LITERALLY 2 minutes late. Like sorry lady. We tried calling but ya'll were just laughing and talking on the other end and left us on hold when we were doing our best to be communicative and let you know we were still coming. The lady at the front desk said that our dogs would have to stay for a couple of hours to be seen and we were okay with that since we had plans to do other things. Next thing we know, she comes back and says "never mind your appointment is cancelled for showing up late". LATE? We tried calling and communicating and we really were only a couple minutes late. As much as I appreciated the staff that tended to our babies before, I did not appreciate the attitude the lady at the desk gave us. She told us to come back another weekend. One of my pups was supposed to be seen that day for an infection and in turn you guys ignored our phone conversation and turned us away. I left absolutely furious, but I kept my mouth shut because it wasn't worth the argument over something so idiotic. BYE!!!
