It has been many years since we've been to this Bookmans. We had moved away. It has certainly changed a lot over the years. There seems to be so much to see! I like how the employees were able to help us so speedily. Looking for one certain book. We called ahead and the employees had the book at the counter by the time we got there.

We were told by a friend who used to live in AZ to visit here. We were not prepared!! There was SO MUCH to look at. We didn't go in with the purpose of buying anything, but we could have bought something in every section of the store. The only reason I'm not giving this spot a five star review is that it was very overwhelming to just look through everything in the store, so I want other visitors to be aware that they need to be prepared to potentially spend a couple hours here. Unless you're going in with a purpose, carve out time to shop!

This place is one-of-a-kind. Everywhere you turn, there’s something to catch your attention. Had a lot of fun browsing through books, games, cds, and more. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Left with a large stack of books for a great price.

Bookmans is such a fun place to go! The staff are amazing!!! Excellent customer service! Always someone there to help you. Tons of merchandise!!! From books, to music, to games, and toys, to instruments! My favorite is the games, knick knacks and anything Star Wars!!! And maybe anything else I see. In short...so much stuff to look at and browse. I can guarantee you will not be bored here. Have fun browsing!!!

This place is an east valley icon. The book selection is huge but even if you’re not a reader you can probably find something here to tickle your fancy. Just a neat place for weird assorted things. If you like books and want to get a whole bunch for the price of 1 or 2 at the new book place bookmans is heaven.

Bookmans has always been a place I often shop at for books, songs, and other old things that I can't get anywhere else. I have found some pretty cool stuff there, and it's a really nice place to browse around for cool things. The staff was really nice as well, which was pretty good. Great place overall

Bookmans is amazing! I've visited since I was a kid, and it hasn't changed much. The changes that have happened over the years just made it better! I love looking through the merchandise next to the check out counter because I always find something I like. They offer credit or cash in exchange for items like video games, movies, books, electronics, musical instruments, and more. They have a kids section as well. I would recommend going even if you wanted to only window shop because the environment and vibe of the store is awesome!

I love bringing my books, puzzles, trinkets etc to them. They will give you either a cash payout or store credit. I love to do the store credit so that way I can turn around and buy more stuff, use it, read it or enjoy it and turn around and trade it back in for new stuff basically!

I like coming here to find classic video games to buy, pretty good selection. But also so many other things here toys, board games, music, movies and of course books.I can stop in here and find something for myself and anyone i want to pick up a gift for. Really fun place.

Trade in Values are low to moderate. Very selective on what they actually take. Seen lot's of people walking out with what they desired to trade. Lots of cool finds. Somewhat overpriced. Pay attention to the condition of what you are buying. Make sure if you trade you have a safe place to keep your receipts as they do not have a system in place to retrieve your credits.

Love this place. They have just about any book you might want. I love buying used books over new books. They have games puzzles, lots of books and collectible toys. This is truly a fun place to go. You can spend hours just looking around.

Ever go somewhere and you can see the staff just loves what they do? This is THAT place. Everyone who works there has a sincere happy, helpful attitude. You can find unusual things there that you wouldn't see anywhere else. The place is clean and well organized.

What a wonderful store to peruse! Tons of used books, records, games, instruments, and Knick knacks. There are also lots of new items like toys, collectibles, and books. Take your time and look through the books and crannies of this store because you never know what you might find! The staff are really chill as well, and it’s a nice place to spend some time. The book collection is vast.

First time they didn't take anything of the magazines I brought in. Not a place to buy or sell magazines anymore. They are down to only one rack of magazines. However!! I knowledgeable worker found the first book in a series I had just found the other three. She said, I have a box of that author in the back. Due to her help I purchased four paperbacks. Again, disappointed I earned no cash or credit on my donations(they said they would donate my brought in magazines).....so I didn't have to take them home. 🙃

This is an incredible place for your hobbies. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I've found some incredible deals. One thing that might go unnoticed is Bookman's creates a venue for great people. I've had full conversations with people who share similar interests with me thanks to Bookman's. They also support teachers and parents. Keep in mind, you're going to find a lot of stuff you like, so be prepared!

This is a big place with a large selection & I had high hopes. Unfortunately, this review is low primarily because of my selling experience. I was told the wait would be 20-30 minutes and waited 90+ minutes without explanation or apology. In fact, the employees were extraordinarily rude. If you care about being treated with even a shred of kindness, take your business to an alternative independent bookstore. Moreover, it’s only worth it to sell here if you’re going for the store credit option. Otherwise you are basically donating your books, which you would be better off doing rather than going here.Please teach your staff to have basic human decency!

This store has something for everyone. Good selection of unique, new and used items. You can buy, sell or trade. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. As you walk through isles and isles of items, you will find memorabilia for sale along the walls and shelves. There is even a Kids Corner. This store sells collectibles, magazines, books, comic books, figurines, musical instruments, vinyl records, CD's, DVD's, toys, video games, consoles and many more items.

First timer here. Grew up in Mesa, always seeing the commercials growing up. Walked in like 🙄. Wow, I could spend the day here if I only knew. But I arrived about 2 hours till close and was reminded they were closing soon before I left. Ended up grabbing two books I've been searching for. Movies, cds, books, comics, toys, instruments, home decor (yes I said it), games for EVERY console, boardgames, and POPS. Only criticism is that the POPS are sold at value or above DB listing. Would have been nice to find something priced below value. Otherwise 4/5

This place is always fun to go to it's a blast from the past as far as toys and video games. They do have a huge book selection, I've only really perused the kids books for my children but some decent deals to be had in there. Sometimes they're really out of pocket with what they're asking for video game consoles certain games and toys but if the nostalgia means anything to you then you'll pay it. They do give a guarantee that their games and their consoles will play. They do take trade-ins but they're pretty picky about what they take. The staff is always been friendly they give a cash discount and they have a kids club discount card as well. Not a very nice neighborhood or Plaza so don't leave anything important in your car LOL

your company needs up to date payment, my first time in and last one my debit/credit card was not taken as credit, any other business on the planet has no issue. Supervisor said company issue. I will never shop there now.

Bookmans got the books 📚 along with other things like record CDs cassettes musical instruments action figures comics video games and cute knick knacks. Their book selection is wide and plentiful so many options for the whole family everyone can find a book at bookmans. I come to bookmans every time I'm in town to see what's new. Because it's mostly used books some of them can seem a little dinged up but the prices are great. So come check out bookmans to get yourself some new books

I love the variety of items they have, if it is anything meant or could possibly be used to entertain you or anyone, they have it. And I've never had anything that was genuinely defective and I can't even say that about buying brand new items from any store!

This is a great location. Very clean and well organized. Comic and toy section is huge and very well maintained. Great price on almost everything. Comic behind counter are semi well priced. However, they need a little help on understanding grades of their comics. Regardless, they always have new prodcut and ready to help u out in your search.Great parking and they have all covid standards in play. Great place to check out. You will for sure find hidden gems.
