You are not going to believe what happened to Nicole and I last night. When I got off I went to get Nicole so we can go to dollar general on hualapai mountain Rd. So we went there to get some food for dinner. When I got to my car I went over my receipt and noticed they charged me for more then what I got so I went back in and talked to the assistant manager and she asked if I can bring in all the bags so she can go through everything so we did. After she went through everything she did find that they double charged me for a few items and refund my change. As I was leaving there was a police officer standing inside the doors. I said hi as he said hi to me. I kept walking and he stated I guess we can talk outside. I was like oh your here for me and he says yes that he got a call stating that a lady with brown scrubs on was under the influence and asked me what was going on. So I explained to him what happened and he said he was going to let me go because I didn't seem to be under the influence. I had called tony as soon as I got in the car to explain to him what happened before I left. And he said he was going to call the store to find out what happened. So there was a total of three police officer that had shown up just for this. When I got home tony said that the assistant manager had told him that that she didn't care if she's a nurse or whatever she can do whatever she wants and hung up. so he called the Kingman police department to find out if that's legal to harass people by calling the police on them, they said they were going to have the officer call and talk to him about it. The officer did call back and explain that it happens all the time and he suggests that we make a complaint to corporate office and probably find somewhere else to shop. So we called there 800 number and talked to someone and she was very apologetic and said it was gross and unacceptable what they did and she said she was going to email the general manager and she will be calling us within 24 hours and gave us a case number for reference. I can't believe people treat people like this. I'm never going to that store again they just lost our business. This all happened at 8:30 last night.

The assistant manager Sara(h) and one of the male employee's accused my mom of stealing from their store a few weeks ago. My mom is NOT a thief, nor does she have any kind of criminal history. They were completely stereotyping her based off of physical appearance and her eccentricities. They screamed at her and kicked her out in front of other customers and employees leaving her feeling humiliated and dehumanized. They claimed they had the video to prove it BUT in reality they just thought her actions were suspicious, again stereotyping her. They never even called the police on her, but they were so certain that she was a thief. After talking to the district manager who was apologetic, it turns out there is NO video or evidence that she stole from their store. Of course she is still welcomed there, but why would she want to go back?? I am waiting to hear something from upper management before I attempt to pursue anything else. I called and spoke to the assistant manager and she is snotty and kept calling me “ma’am” in a condescending way and repeated that if my mom would like an apology she could come in the store. Not enough. What you all did was WRONG and they couldn’t care less how they made another human being feel. Look at all the other 1,2 star reviews! These people are jerks and should be in retail. Is that not enough for the district and regional manager to see they need to make some serious changes?

Friendly and good service. Needs a full time stocker that does not need to be a cashier. The shelves are empty because employees are needed up front for the volume of customers. Employees work hard. Management is very amazing. This store is always full of customers so it does not take long for the shelves to empty. The customers are understanding and friendly, compassionate to staff. In my opinion, offer staff more hours. Allowance for a positive budget that meets the needs of the store. Just saying.

If I could give this store a -1 I would! This store is the worst store in the history of ever! They never have what you need!! I mean I will go in for the simplest thing and it’s my fault for going back but my god! Milk pickles bread tortillas beans vanilla extract! Always out!!! Or not on the floor their back room is full of things they don’t pull out or even try too! They are understaff all the time and are just rude people! And then when they do have good employees they end up leaving cause management is a joke! This store is horrible point blank and period!

This is a great store, the people are friendly and helpful. It's a great place to pick up a few things closer to home. They do have locking grocery carts which make it a pain to take them out of the store, and they always have products oozing into the isles and protruding from the shelves, but it kind of feels like a little adventure everytime. If your not wanting to go to a bigger retail or grocery store but need something more than a convenient store offers This is Definitely the place to go!!!!

The customer service at this location is slacking since when I first moved here 6 years ago. Their inventory is always blocking the isles, and it is not rare to see 2 employees walking around the store, but only 1 other employee behind a register. Management needs to prioritize better.

A nice place to pick up the basics on the way home. Good selection of chips and other snacks. Prices are as expected for a discount store. Nice selection of name brand items for your sock and undie drawers. Cute clothes for the kids. I like that o can get a bag of ice on the way so close to home. All of their locations are convenient to get to. This location is always clean and well stocked. I like that they have a good dairy selection and the cherry lemon ice pops are s personal favorite.

i honestly despise the fact i live so close to this place. it’s so convenient that i can drive two minutes and get what i need but the store is always ₐ mess and cashiers are less than tolerable. the stores always an absolute mess too. definitely taking my business to walgreens from now on

While this place isn't my favorite it sure it nice when I'm in a pinch and need something. You need some hardcore cleaners? Maybe some hairspray? What about some random toys for the kids? On and who could forget about the yard decorations! All in all this place is always good and most always has what I need.

My only advice is if you are ever in this store which I hope not. Record your visit all on video. Then post so others can see the mistreatment of these garbage employees...

Pretty good store considering it is a dollar general. Card machines are finicky and store is a bit crowded, but usually has what you need in a pinch. Customer is service is always friendly, but definitely lacking in amount of employees.We want service, but we want low prices... have to compromise somewhere!

This is the most horrible dollar store I've ever been to anywhere. How I was treated, my first visit is also the last. You don't want to shop here, especially not anytime near closing. I was told they've been robbed before, and they live in fear. They think this is cause to treat customers like pure garbage, with wild cynicism and paranoia. (I found out this store was not even robbed, it was two other DGs in town.)It was a significant wait in check out, so by me it was pretty much closing. That's why I specifically asked if I had time to fill a couple of water bottles. But the clerk said yes. There were packages piled up blocking one bathroom and both drinking fountains. I had to move heavy packages out of the way to use one. It hardly worked, and had to move more to get at the other. This store is unprecedentedly disorganized.Then the other employee, a gal, comes over and starts harping at me. Saying the store is closing, which obviously I know. I pointed out I was just told I had time, and their piled junk was slowing me down. She wouldn't listen, just kept nagging. Then she asks if I'm parked in the lot and says it has to be empty at closing. Wasn't planning on giving me any time and expecting an immediate departure. I needed to look up some directions, too.It's none of their business if a customer needs several minutes before departing, it's not anything usual. As I was leaving after only 15 minutes, the police were arriving. They had called them on me.Uncalled for, unappreciative, disgusting way to treat a customer. I also spoke with the corporate manager, who was very unreasonable and mainly gave BS excuses why he thinks this treatment was justified.

Can be busy at times, but so convenient when you live around the area, instead of having to travel to the stores in town. Looks like they are usually under staff here, and that tends to cause long lines, when having multiple cashier's would be so beneficial. Let's see if they improve moving forward.............

A little disheveled and compacted. It seemed like they had a lot of stuff for a small location. And the line setup didn't really make sense. It is social distancing so I guess I understand but only me and a couple of people were actually wearing masks whereas everybody was like whatever about it. I believe the cashier was wearing a mask at least.

I absolutely love this store! It's not everyday I am afforded the opportunity to spend more money on smaller quantities of items I can get by simply driving 1.8 more miles and find myself at Walmart. Less product at higher prices... well that's the dollar General difference! Great staff of folks and if you haven't been screwed I'm awhile, you should stop in and have your mind blown. Since when did these dollar stores start thinking they can price stuff as though they were convenient stores? That's rhetorical because of stupid folks being mesmerized by big shiny yellow lights. If you jiggled your keys in front of a train, two stupid people would be out of Darwin's waiting room and on to the light at the end of my suffering. Enjoy yourselves until then

This store is a budget friendly spot that has a pretty big selection especially for a lil bodega type place. Everything is decently priced but Walmart is much better for cheaper but if you just need a quick gallon of milk or tampons for your girl this is a good spot

BILLY is an amazing human. He is very helpful and goes above and beyond for the customers!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP. This place is open till 10 I believe and the staff is always pretty nice but billy is awesome.

This store is always a mess , half the time the prices are wrong they never have enough employees on so the unstocked inventory is blocking access to aisles and products on shelves. If there is a second cashier their on a smoke break ( manager ). It's never a quick trip and it's frustrating, sometimes you'd be better off going to Walmart

It's the only Dollar General out of 4 here in Kingman that stays open until 10 so thats a plus. Everytime I go to this particular store the shelves aren't very stocked yet the store seems crowded from the bins and shelves they have close to t he checkouts where you enter the store. Otherwise it's a clean store with very friendly staff.

I went to buy a phone that was advertised,buy$40 phone time and get the phone for$49 but it came out to$150 and all they said was they couldn't give me that price.i asked them to try and ring it up again or differently but they didn't even try. All they did was remove the sale sign! I don't know what kind of training they get there but it's not customer service or how to operate the cash register

The staff we spoke with were friendly and helpful. Lots of things in a small store. The sell liquor, so if you are buying don't forget your ID! They card!? 👍

So...the cashiers at this location seem to be a little petered at the domination of American currency. I sure hope this review reaches the owners!!!!There are now 2 NEGATIVE situations at the opposite ends of the spectrum, both involving children. A few months back, my son went into this location on Hualapai Mt. Rd. with his friend who is poor, and all but homeless. This child had a bag full of change (including lots of pennies). He had enough to pay for what he was purchasing, but the cashier complained about it, embarrassing the poor child in front of everyone! The man behind them PAID for his order, because he was in a hurry, and didn't like the fact that the cashier was criticizing this poor child for spending his piggy bank savings at this store!Today, Oct 5, 2018...I sent MY son there with the only cash I had...a $50 bill. The cashier on duty complained to my son for bringing in a $50 bill. "Why does everyone do this to me?" Really?! It's an INCONVENIENCE to give someone 2 $20 bills for change? So much so, that you guys would yet again embarrass my child who is in there DAILY spending money, supporting YOUR jobs?!I want a personal email sent to me from the owners/corporate, promising me that my son, nor his friends will EVER be embarrassed by cashiers at this location again for spending AMERICAN CURRENCY; or we will never shop there again. And I will be a word of mouth advocate to make sure all my friends in Kingman know that your cashiers are ABOVE the legal American Currency...because it's soooo inconvenient for THEM to accept any domination that PAYS THEIR WAGES.

The manager here is really cool he always keeps a place really clean and organized and tries to keep the frigerator is working they have a couple broken down right now but I'm sure you get it taken care of I would recommend this store prices are always generally reasonable

Staff was rude and obviously sick but still coughing and sniffling all over food items purchased. Wiped nose and mouth before handling items. Store was cluttered and messy!

A bit claustrophobic, but prices are low. I appreciate being able to buy milk without synthetic hormones, etc.And the staff is polite. 😃
