My, oh my! We wandered into the Kountry Kafe for the first time after an impromptu hike at nearby Whitewater Draw. It's like a very cozy and welcoming country house the moment you walk in.They have a great reputation for and are always promoting their Friday Fish Fry, so I was very happy to see that they had a fish basket special on a Saturday. My wife opted for the chicken tender basket. Our drinks arrived swiftly and we received our food very quickly as well. You could tell that everything was made to order as it was piping hot. The fish has a softer bite than most, but is absolutely delectable and thoroughly flavored. The battered fries are incredibly crunchy and satisfying. This is literally the best fish and chips plate in the whole dang county!The Kountry Kafe is also renowned for it's homemade desert, so we opted for the apple cinnamon icebox cake and the peanut butter chocolate chip cheesecake. Both desserts were well crafted and you can tell that they were made with love. The icebox cake was great, but the cheesecake was out of this world! It was like eating a Reese's, just like our friendly server described.Stop on by here for down home country fare served in a neat place. (Also check out the FRESH FRIED pork skins if you have a chance. The table next to us ordered them and they looked incredible!! They're the first thing on our list to try next time.)

We took a small side trip on our way home from Douglas to Tucson. We were hungry and this off the map place had a 4.6 review. Honestly, that might be a little low! The food was homemade. Everything was delicious. I am so glad we stopped the waitress was kind and the environment was homey and friendly. The people coming in all knew each other by name and for a small town with no stoplight I was impressed! No hand written tickets here, IPAD instead. Had a area for outside seating and even a firepit. It's 15 minutes off I-10 on 191 trust me you won't regret it!Parking: They have an area right off the street and along the side of the building toward the back am RV could pull in.Kid-friendliness: There were several families there while we were. The kids felt comfortable and excited to be there.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a small front area that a wheel could easily go in and out.

Was in town for our grandaughters HS basketball game. Pleasantly surprised how a small town, small homey Cafe could maintain such great quality yummy fresh hot food. Best cheese curds and hamburger we've had in a very long time! Definitely will return in the future!Kid-friendliness: The service was above par, super friendly, welcoming, down home personalities.

Great burger. They have pepper jack. The Patty was smoked finish. So good. Juicy. Light pastrami taste. Crispy battered fries. I hear the fish tacos are good. All these desserts look yummy.

Had a great time at the Kountry Kafe, wonderful friendly atmosphere and excellent food. It’s a great place to go for lunch after visiting the Whitewater Draw, only minutes away and well worth it. Can’t wait to visit again when we have time to indulge in the full bar and/or the incredible ice cream, they have most unique list of flavors I’ve ever seen.

Stopped in for lunch just by chance a few weeks ago. The food was wonderful! Great fish. The owner talked me into getting one of the last two cinnamon rolls. Now I’m not a cinnamon roll fan but I took it to go. It was incredible. Best cinnamon roll I’ve ever tasted and the frosting was to die for. If you’re ever passing through Elfrida, stop in. You won’t be disappointed.

Cute sweet quiet little gem!!! Staff was great! Told the lovely lady behind the counter we were from Tucson and looking for local restaurants and asked what she recommended, she was quick to suggest the pulled pork and without a thought we ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries! Soooooo glad we did! The portions were way bigger than expected, we probably could've shared one, the pork itself was tender, juicy and flavorful! The barbecue sauce was served on the side which I super appreciate as I'm a dunker when possible 🙂 fries were fresh crispy and just the right amount of salt!! Thank you so much for being a fantastic unexpected stop for lunch on our much anticipated day trip! We will most certainly be making the drive again and the kountry kafe with be a regular destination for us!!!

Fantastic meal and a wonderful server.Our server was attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive. She took great care of keeping our drinks topped off. Her service was prompt & very friendly.Our burgers were hot and flavorful. They were also ginormous. I highly, highly recommend their burgers.Take the trip and eat here. You won't regret it.

Stopped for lunch today! Great service! Friendly staff! Loved the Fish Fry (husband said it was perfectly prepared and seasoned) and the Patty Melt! Great fries! Lemon Lasagna!!!! Who knew! Be sure to stop here!
