They have everything you'll need from reptiles, hamsters, fish, and food for all of them if you need anything there the place to go. The place is always clean and all your pets are welcome in there.

I brought my dogs to the groomer here, it was the worst haircut they have ever had, it didn’t even look like they tried to make them look good, one of my dogs looked extremely choppy and the other one was unrecognizable, I had asked for a teddy bear cut, the last picture of what they normally look like after their grooms at petsmart , and the other two are what I picked up from petco. The girl at the counter argued with me that they did look good , I have eyes. I can see they don’t. She tried telling me this is what I asked for. I saw my dogs and wanted to cry. I couldn’t believe how bad they looked , I asked for a teddy bear cut and they basically just shaved them down like I couldn’t have done that myself. Thankfully after plenty of arguing with the girl at the grooming counter I was able to get a refund from the store manager , but I will never ever trust petco with my dogs again. It’s going to take months for their fur to grow back enough to take them to someone to fix

We have a kitten who's severely severely sick we don't have much money but we did come up with the money for the initial visit $71, and with all the road work being done down and McDowell we got stuck on the bus for longer than expected our appointment was for 2:30 p.m. we showed up at 2:34 p.m. and at 2:25 I called them let them know the situation and that we were just right down the street and after sprinting 200 yards are little baby kitten journey was refused to visit and she is close to dying I feel so helpless I need some help anybody who loves animals somebody who loves animals hoping this place was a place that cared about animals, is a did not have any compassion or empathy in their heart to look past 4 minutes for a dying kitten is going out in severe pain we as owners feel so hopeless and that we have no nothing we can do to try to help them as journey suffers this illness,the staff was cold hearted rude, judgemental,me and my boyfriend might not have the most money or have a car be we do have compassion for life,not fake compassion like the staff at this hospital true compassion for all life,I don't know how they could so cold hearted.tgey shouldn't let and innocent kitten suffer because of there bias opinions towards me and my boyfriend just because we are considered lower class.they are nice to money and money only..I ame 109% honest about this Post.

First time visiting with my husband , looking for a couple of things needed for our new kitten we adopted. Staff is very knowledgeable and very professional. So kind. We will be back.

the store is always fully stocked and isles are clean. However I was upset to see the guinea pigs especially the little skinny pig. She had absolutely No hay her cage was dirty with very little bedding compared to all the mice and hamsters. It’s always upsetting to see there isn’t much love & care for the guinea pigs

Worst customer service ever. Says they don't take a passport portfolio from vet hospital cause you can fake them. I had vet doctor on phone the a hole manager still would not talk to her said it was fake. Don't take your pets there. Rude manager even my vet doctor heard the manager talking to me said I should leave and go to pets mart they treat you better. Will never spend money there again

I wish there is a negative rating option to select. I have been to the store with my friend to get some fishes. The employee at fish told that I am the last customer she is going to help. when I selected the fishes, she is very rude and keeps banging all the stuff when ever I asked more, when I said I need couple of more fishes and thats the end of shopping for the day, she said NO I DONT WANT TO ADD MORE THINGS TO YOUR SHOP. I AM DONE FOR THE DAY. I would have got the other two fishes at 50% discount if I get them that day. Because of her rudeness and impolite behaviour, I lost that 50%. she was not supposed to show such kind of rudeness to the customers. not only me, couple of my other friends who has been to this store recently faced the same issue. I wish this has to be escalated to the management.

I placed an order for pick up. Clearly wrote LIZ OR GABRIEL in the pickup name field. When my son Gabriel went to pick it up, he was told they didn't have the order. Lady said they had an order for Lizbeth but not Liz!! Are you kidding me?! What do you think Liz is short for?! My son had to go search down the aisles to look for the item and buy it since they refused to give him my order. He had his driver license which also matched the address of the pick up order. My account has been charged for BOTH transactions. Never shopping this location again.

This location is very clean and the staff is helpful and nice, they have an in store dog training, groomer and veterinarianWhile petco offer a valuable membership for any cat, dog or small pet owner which pays for itself in savings to cat litter, pet food and vet exam fees

This location has a variety of quality products for my pet rabbit and cat. They also partnered up with HALO a non profit for animal shelter. The adoption of pets is also by them.You can purchase a can of cat food that will go directly to this valley organization. There are several items for all your pet care needs. The only negative about this visit is there were several boxes of merchandise cluttering the aisles. I guess they had not gotten around to put all this stock in the proper area.

Extremely tacky that you are now charging for bags. Whether you are doing it for political purposes or whatever, it’s tacky. Many many stores have adapted recyclable and biodegradable products as a way of contributing to the preservation of the environment so I’m going to call bull on that but either way tacky. I used to shop here once a week because it was convenient for having to be in the immediate area everyday anyway, however yesterday was my last day shopping here.

The store is OK but Chick-fil-A has completely taken over the parking lot for several hours during lunch. As you pull in the whole front parking lot is blocked by cones. Once you pull in the drive you're stuck going to the drive through and of course there are cars behind you so you can't back up.

I went to pick up an order that I placed online & the girl that was at the register told me I had to go to the back of the line for her to be able to help me. The whole reason I placed the order online was so I didn’t have to wait in a long line especially when it would’ve just taken 30 seconds or less to just get the order and help the next customer ! Made me wait a whole 15 min just for a online order that was already ready !

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!I took my 8.9 year old cat into the vet there, and the office Mgr lied to my face! They have no heart! NO conscience about how they treat people! It's the worst vet experience!First they mislead about the prices. I scheduled my appt online, the prices were very misleading. When I scheduled her appt, the price quoted for rabies vaccinations was $35 w/ no vet visit fee. When I got there, the price is actually $61 for the rabies and $69 for the office visit.I felt like their website was designed to mislead people, but at that point, I agreed to proceed.While I was waiting for Chloe' (my cat), I asked the lady at the front desk why the vaccine was twice as much, and she said that it's because the vaccines give the animals cancer, and that specific one lowers the risk. WHAT!?! the vaccine causes cancer? That's when I realized that was the cancer my dog died from. It was caused by the vaccines. I didn't know that! So, I started panicking inside. I'm essentially paying these people to murder my cat. I couldn't believe it! At that point, it was too late, they had Chloe in the treatment room.They DO NOT COMMUNICATE that specific information during the visit!In addition to that, when I read the invoice, it told me to bring my cat back in 12 months for another vaccine. Another thing they DO NOT COMMUNICATE! You mean to tell me that you intentionally set me up to force me to bring my cat back in for a shot that YOU KNOW will cause cancer!?!Then when I was on the phone, of course I was upset, because of all that I just learned, and the so called "office manager" lied to me about what she said. I said, just admit that you did not communicate that to me, and she wouldn't. She had no understanding about how I was feeling, she just hung up!Those people DO NOT CARE AT ALL ABOUT YOUR PETS. They admittingly give our pets vaccines that cause cancer! I believe they do it to make more money from us!

I only come here because it's the only place that sells my dogs food. I feel insulted to have to pay 10 cents for a plastic bag. But it also depends on the cashier. Some do, some don't.

I took kitty for nail clipping. The people were so nice and my sweet baby didn't even had time to be scared, so quick they were. They did an excellent job. A bit pricey, though.

They always seem to be out of small pets like hamsters and can be hard to get help from staff. Other than that they have most of the stuff you need there but could use some more hamster accessories in my opinion.

This place was amazing especially Stephanie. My saltwater tank was leaking and I could of lost everything. Stephanie had everything ready when I arrived. They say fish don't feel. But owners do. I almost lost my 10 year established tank. I did lose my kole tang but my coral and other fish survived. Thanks again!!

Staff here is really friendly and helpful. The store wasn't extremely busy when I went. They had 3 kittens up for adoption when I last went to this location. They were too cute! They also had hamsters, mice, ferrets, fish, birds, and various reptiles for sale. I learned that grooming services are available at this particular Petco.

This location is a bit larger than the other petcos in the phoenix area. Staff their appears to be knowledgeable and willing to assist. Store was clean and appeared to be well organized with a variety of selections of live stock and products. It did appear to be busy for a thursday evening.

The Avondale store is much better stocked than the Goodyear location. The team at the Avondale location is Always helpful while shopping and with information at the checkout. In the past year maybe in somewhat less time the Goodyear location has slipped considerably. 5 star team in Avondale.Thank you and all the best!

Grooming was great, and they were honest about what my pup would and would not tolerate. She’s not a fan of her paws being handled, I’m glad they chose her safety. And she came home smelling wonderful before she played outside again hahah
