The winter dog tour was absolutely wonderful and is an experience that was an all time favorite for my family. Vern and Cindy were amazing hosts and took the time to answer every question we had about the Iditarod, racing, the dogs, etc. It was an amazing piece of property with absolutely gorgeous views. Additionally, the tour itself was a once in a lifetime experience. I will definitely be visiting again when I'm in AK.

Vern was awsome. He explained all aspects of preparing for and running the greatest dog sled race in the world. From the video, to the displays, to the dog sled ride, his knowledge and experience made this the hi-light of our vacation!!! A visit at Dream A Dream Sled Dog Tours is well worth the drive to Alaska - don't settle for anything else!!

Very interesting with detailed explanations of running the Iditarod. Cindy Abbott showed us her sled & all the paraphernalia the mushers need for the trail. There were lots of opportunities to ask questions & take pics. Went for a ride on an ATV hooked up to a team of sled dogs. Was able to walk among the dog houses & pet the dogs. And of course cuddle a litter of pups. It was very evident that they love & take great care of their dogs. We really enjoyed our visit & I will take future guests back to their kennel.

This had to be one of the best places we have ever visited. Vern and his crew are excellent in what they do. The things they can do with dogs is amazing. It gave me a whole new look at mushers and sled dogs. If you're looking for an excellent tour, this is it!!!

What a fantastic experience!For a person who was less than confident to jump on a dog sled , I gained new confidence in the safe hands of these wonderful mushers. I was especially honoured to meet Cindy Abbott and Vern - both Iditarod finishers.They were so generous in sharing their knowledge. Thanks guys, I learnt so much!One of the best days ever!

We had a fun time. It was a great experience. We learned about the history of and the requirements to run the Iditarod. Our mushers have run and completed the Iditarod multiple times and so had the dogs. The dogs were friendly and happy to run. Everyone there was so nice. I would highly recommend!

What an amazing opportunity. To learn from a veteran of the Iditarod as well as the only woman to finish the Iditarod and climb, Mount Everest. In addition to learning from them you get to meet the puppies, this is important since sled dogs will be meeting, be cared for and even be treated for injuries by strangers, so meeting so many strangers from day one makes them less stressed later. Next you get to go on a training run. You ride an ATV behind the dogs. After all it's 60° out much to warm to pull a sled but running together is something they love to do, and when it gets too warm there is always mud to play in.

Enjoyed it very much. They will give you an experience to remember with a dog team pulling a large four wheeler with eight people through rough terrain with huge water holes that simulate the Iditarod. Very nice people; anxious to please.

It was fantastic. The staff had a video on an Ididorad and explained a race. It explained a lot of things you would never think of and the staff was great.
