My recent adventure with Alaskan Husky Adventures, as showcased on their informative and inviting website (akhusky.dog), was an experience I will cherish forever. Not only were they knowledgeable about dog sledding, but their passion for these magnificent animals and the Alaskan wilderness was palpable, making the adventure educational as well as fun. Absolutely AMAZING experience!! My husband said “I didn’t know this was on my bucket list but wow this was incredible” I cannot recommend this adventure enough.We got to hang out w the dogs-stop a few times on the trail to let the dogs rest and for some pictures and then enjoyed some hot cocoa at the end to warm up. Didn’t feel rushed at all and feel like we got an authentic dog sledding experience.This place is the “real deal” and not just for show and tourists. These dogs and mushers have run the Iditarod and other local races and you can see how much they love what they do- both the humans and the dogs!Don’t look anywhere else, book this already, you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely amazing experience! Great weather given how cold it can get in Alaska. It was so nice they provide high quality gloves and parkas to add to you wardrobe to not be too Cold. Bring something to cover your face tho!! Great hot chocolate after to warm up plus all the dog pats you could ever ask for!

What an amazing day and great way to start our Anniversary weekend. Your team of dogs led by Espy was great and it's amazing to see the passion in your dogs as well as our guide in making sure we had fun. Good luck with your future endeavors!! You left a lasting memory that we will never forget. Your team is a great showcase of what Alaska is all about and what incredible skills it takes to guide a dog team. Alaskan Husky Adventures is a little slice of Alaskan and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an experiencelike no other.

We had a great experience with dogs 🐕! Learned a lot from our musher Riley about dogs, races, he answered every question I asked and even took us on additional lap! Top experience and great hospitality from the beginning, with hot chocolate and snacks at the end. We went at 3-30 pm, caught the sunset so the views were amazing! I would highly recommend this tour for everyone!

Had the most wonderful experience. The dogs are amazing and very friendly. The staff were educational as we had never been mushing before. This was truly a real Alaskan experience. Highly recommend !!!

This was the experience of a lifetime! Dane and Kaci are so knowledgeable and friendly. They answered all of our questions, and Kaci gave us a great ride with 10 of their fantastic sled dogs. Afterward, we got to have special time petting Motorhead while we warmed up with hot cocoa and snacks. We had so much fun! 10 stars, for sure!

I've lived in Alaska for 9 years and have never done any type of dog sledding. This was a dream come true. You can tell this business is run by real people - family and friends - and the passion and love they have poured into these dogs and this program really shows. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful. We got to meet puppies, feed birds, see the most amazing sunrise and hear stories of all sorts of dog mushing races including the Iditarod. Riley from Dark Horse mushing was our guide and he was so fantastic and friendly. I asked a thousand questions and he was so happy to answer them all. My mom purchased these tickets online and even though we had an add on at the last minute they were able to accommodate us. You can tell this is a wonderful family establishment, with good solid folks running things. I think this would be a great event for families with children, too. We'll definitely be back in the summer to try the dryland tours. Thank you so much! We had such a blast!

The staff here are AMAZING! You could tell they truly love what they do and love all their dogs. I have been dog sledding at two other places while family was in town, and each experience was magical. However, Alaskan Husky Adventure has surpassed them all and stands out as the best. I wholeheartedly recommend them and plan to return for future adventures! They made the trip memorable for my dad and I and loved hearing the stories Matt had while he was racing. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

It was an awesome experience. BEST in Alaska! The sled ride was longer than we thought it would be. Very cold but we were given complementary winter jackets that were super warm. The morning views were epic, Most of the ride, we can see the sun slowly shining upon Denali in the background.Epic, our lead dog was super energetic and great. He would immediately jump into the snow whenever we stop, which is super cute. Our guide Stacy was so friendly and passionate about what she does. We had a great time conversing with her while riding. She even took us on some offroad with powdery snow. Playing with puppies afterwards was a great fun, and complimentary hot choca was delicious! The dogs are the most energetic and friendly dogs I've ever played with. All the other staff members were super knowledgeable too. They also have a wall-of-frame of rewards and some merchandise to buy.Afterward, we were heading back out on the snowy road and got stuck. We gave a call to the business if they had anything to help us with. Matt, the owner, came immediately to help us with shovels. He personally helped me and my husband shovel snow and guided us out. It was a process. It took like 50 mins, but he helped us the whole time and guided us because we were newbie snow drivers and had no idea what we were supposed to do. I'll be forever grateful just for this kind gesture of him. I'll be their lifetime customer. Thank you again Matt!

we can’t say enough about this amazing experience! they squeezed us in and treated us like we were long lost friends. Matt, Liz, Kasey & Dane were so wonderful and took care of us completely. It was an amazing experience! My mom and I are from Ohio visiting family here and had to check dogsledding off of our bucket list. They were very kind with amazing customer service. Pricing was very fair too. We had an absolute blast and will for sure be coming back on our next visit!

Getting to finally see just how much these dogs truly adore both their sport and their people first hand makes me want to join a team of my own; what an admirable group. Planned a morning Sled tour on our way up to Denali. As soon as you pull up, you can feel the excitement from about 50 dogs. Liz and Matt quickly and warmly greeted us. The tour started with great information about the dogs, Iditarod, their background, and the overall tour experience. Once the informational session was complete, we headed out to meet the dogs and this was a very exhilarating experience. You can't describe the pure energy and excitement as the dogs knew they were going out for a run. I wish I could've done enough tours to give every dog a chance to run that morning.The ride was an amazing experience. It was a great combination of educational, fun, thrilling, and inspirational. Matt and Liz are very passionate about the dogs and sharing it with their guests. I did so many tours while in Alaska, but this was one of my favorite. I am already planning a winter visit for a sled tour in the snow. Highly recommend this tour and supporting Matt and Liz.

Had a great time playing with the dogs and puppies! Kaci was very knowledgeable and it was really good learning about the dogs from her. Just sad that we couldn’t book a sled experience, because we were a week too early. Bet it would have been fun!

As soon as I drove onto the property I was greeted by Liz’s smiling face and the howling of excited dogs all around! This was a spectacular experience that went well beyond my expectations. It was amazing to see the passion Liz and Matt have their dogs and their love for mushing. They could easily talk to you all day long telling you about the sport their team. After an extremely fun trail ride pulled by the dogs the whole way Matt amazed us with his sled and stories of his past races. Make sure to ask Matt for directions back to Anchorage is you’re staying there as he directed us through the gorgeous Alaskan mountains that is well worth the drive!

What a fun adventure! My daughter has always wanted to go dog mushing… preferably in the snow but since we are in the summer this was our best choice! Great people running it. The owners really love their dogs. The whole staff was so kind. It was a memory we will never forget, even in the rain!

My wife and I visited Alaska, in April, 2022, for our 25th anniversary and took a dogsled ride at Alaskan Husky Adventures. It was an awesome experience and a highlight of our trip...I even got to "steer" the trailing sled. Our musher was great and the dogs were even better...sorry. Being out on the trail, feeling the movement of the sled, the wind on my face and watching the dogs run, struck something deep inside of me...it was exciting and very peaceful at the same time. We will definitely visit Alaskan Husky Adventures should we find ourselves in Alaska again.

We had such a great time on our adventure!! The views were amazing and so was the hospitality we received before, during and after the tour! We were not prepared for how cold it was going to be that morning and they were so sweet to let us borrow parkas! It was so cool to get to ask them questions about the Iditarod race which our tour guide did last year! Highly recommend this experience of a lifetime!

The staff was so incredibly nice and shared some really interesting information. We loved interacting with the dogs and holding the puppy. Getting to go on the run was very fun for my 5 and 8 year old. The guides were very engaging. We'd definitely recommend!

Kids had an amazing experience here! We did the Traditional Winter Sled Ride and had so much fun! Prices are reasonable, and the views of Denali were absolutely breathtaking. Our guide was awesome, and all the dogs were so friendly. My daughter had the time of her life here! Highly recommend this experience!
