I visited Skagway back in June and took a tour with Noah. It was absolutely incredible! Very small group tour, which was perfect - it felt so personalized. Noah was fantastic and kept us entertained along the way with stories, history, facts, and great pit stops. I truly cannot recommend Skagway Tours enough.

Awesome tour. Arrive on time on every spots. Our tour guy aka hot Mike not only is our comedian on the bus but also full of information about Skagway. Many trivia and knows the exact spots for photo taking. I was also very lucky that the weather was super nice and allow me to capture many breath taking photos of Alaska and Yukon

The four of us accidentally booked this over the train and it was the best mistake that could’ve happened to us. Our guide was Mike and he was phenomenal! So informative about what we were seeing as well as very funny and made sure to keep a great energy in the bus. He also gave us the opportunity to decide where we wanted to stop and for how long. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely book this tour again.

Used this company for a bus tour of Skagway and the Yukon ending in a musher camp/attraction in Carcross. We saw wildlife (bears, eagles, mountain goats and sheep) ate a decent lunch, visited with musher dogs and their puppies, all while experiencing incredible scenery. Our guide Mike went out of his way to make sure everyone on his bus had a good time and saw as much as possible all while getting us back to the port in time for souvenir shopping. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Highly recommended.

Did the Yukon and Dog Sledding tour. Mike was great with his explanations. I was having trouble booking online and he helped me with the arrangements. We saw a bear and mt goats which was cool. There was also plenty of time to play with the pups.

We did the Yukon Tour & Summer Sled Dogs. Daniel was a fantastic guide. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Skagway. The sled dogs have actually been racing and the owner is a champion dog sled racer. The views and drive cannot be matched. Great for families and adults.

This was a great tour that we got last minute. Goes further than the trains do! We stopped at multiple locations to take photos & it was beautiful!!! We saw multiple waterfalls!!! Mike was our tour guide & he was hilarious!!! One of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. Super funny and takes photos for you, he knows all of the angles lol. Bus was also comfy. 12/10 highly recommend :) bring cash to tip your tour guides!!!

Where to start...I guess the simplest way to review this tour company is to break it down into 2 separate categories where vacation is all about.1. Services and staff:I have to say the our tour guide Candace has got to be one of the best guides i have had the pleasure of touring with. Their customer support Cara was also intuitive, instructive and extremely helpful in helping us book the proper trip. We started the trip parked at the port of Skagway and was met by Candace. She consulted with us what to expect and how we wanted the tour to progress. She was completely flexible and wanted to let us know how we wanted to proceed at the pace we wanted. Candace gave us the full background of the Yukons, and a vivid and amazing history of the places and areas which dated back to the 1800's during the gold rush. She was extremely friendly, and awesome person where each of our conversation provided certain enlightenment to the journey. At the end of the trip (which was about 8 hours), we shares many story including our personal experiences and why she ultimately chose to guide tours for us first time vacationers to the Alaska experiences. Typically, most tour guides want to speed past to the finish line, but we visited so many stops along the way, that it was really worth two times the excursions. kudos to you Candace and thanks for the awesome experience *She even sang us a song along the way (which i must say she has a beautiful voice).2. Destinations and visits.What can i say.... We hit about 13 places and took hundreds of the most stunning pictures imaginable during each stops. From Skagways own town, to the three difference climate across the border of US/Canada, where you have lush green climates which then becomes a cold tundra, and back to deserts environments. We visited Carcross town, their scenic lakes and mountains, the Carcross deserts, and ultimately to the Emerald Lakes. The return routes, we visited two waterwalls, several glacier views in the mountains and a huskie farm where we could commingle with these 3 month old huskies. This tour has a little of everything and uniquely every one from our 13 passengers liked difference aspects of the tour. My understanding of the Skagway train ride is amazing, but i believe it stops only at Carcross town before heading back, so from our perspective, this bus gave us more variety and a person touch. Again kudos to you Candace for that delivery.3. Ambiance and Atmosphere.This is one segment that i can only say is beyond belief. The natural beauty of the untouched Yukons is a wonder to behold. We saw mountains which had forest fires which had pockets of smoke and flames due to the internal soil enrichments where the lower areas of the mountain had a line of smoke that trailed like a dragon encircling the mountain. You really need to see it to believe it exist. One mountain we stopped along the way looked like the mountain out of the lord of the rings. We were so involved with the scenic landscape that the 8 hours for the total trip passes so quickly.Date of experience: August 2018

We were in Skagway a week or so ago. We had planned to get tickets to ride the train but they had sold out completely. We walked around downtown enjoyed the shops and eventually came across the Skagway tours store front. We went in and talked to the nice young man working I was a bit skeptical on his pitch of twice the distance of the train for half the price bit but I took the bait. Ohh man was it great 4 hours of beautiful scenery. No photos could ever do it justice. We had Bryan as our tour guild and we lucked out with only 6 people on our bus. He mad stops when we wanted and even stopped when I saw a moose so we could all check it out. I highly recommend the trip and our guide did a great job telling us about the history and the landmarks.

Book a tour with these folks, you'll be delighted! At the last minute I booked a spectacular 4 hour bus tour with Skagway Tours, from Skagway all the way to the Yukon border, that I will never forget.I had booked a helicopter tour, and it was canceled at the last minute due to gale force winds (gale force 8 on the Beaufort scale, according to the weather report).What to do? My cruise ship the Noordam was to leave that evening, so only one chance to grab a tour of this majestic region, and it was nearly one o'clockI walked into town, found Skagway Tours and a half hour later was on a bus, exploring both the spectacular scenery of Alaska and British Columbia, and also the astonishing history of the gold rush, which took place throughout the very region we drove through. Once inland, the winds died right down. The tour went right to the Yukon border.All expertly driven and narrated by Monica Schuster, whose masterful storytelling and encyclopedic knowledge of the gold rush era took the tour to a new level entirely. Amazing stories, told with a great sense of humour, and several stops along the Klondike highway at some of the most breathtaking mountain scenery I've ever seen, made this tour one I'll remember forever.
