The rooms were definitely on the downside. There were rips in our carpet (which was also way worn down) , and there was dust on the lamp bases and end tables. The chair was waaaay over used, and the sink didn't drain. Definitely should have been cleaner for what we paid. But for one night off of the highway on our way back home it did the job. They offered free snacks, and water/soda in our room, so that was nice, and they have built in shampoo/conditioner/soaps. Just too expensive for what they offer room and cleanliness wise. Will not be going back to stay here when we travel again, and will stay somewhere else nearby.

This Hotel gets 5☆plus. The Price was great, the complimentary drinks and snacks were extremely helpful when traveling with kids, and the service was wonderful. The rooms were extremely spacious with a full kitchenette at the $88 price plus tax as advertised price was beyond what we are used to. We definitely without a doubt recommend this Hotel as a place to stay. We hope to come back here in the future. Thank you Greystone Inn for the stay.Rooms: The Rooms were clean and spaciousSafety: We loved how this place is tucked away and quiet.Food & drinks: The complimentary drinks and snacks were a hit with my kids.

I am a bit torn about this hotel. First of all, it is super inexpensive compared to other hotels in the same area. If you are traveling and need a hotel to spend the night at so that you can get back on the road quickly, this is great for that. The staff is seemingly great too - super nice and super friendly. They had a complementary snack in the room when I got there which was pretty nice. Besides that, there are some other problems with the hotel:The room was kind of dirty looking. It was not like a "they did not clean the room before I got there" kind of dirty but a "this is a really old hotel that has not been deep cleaned and refreshed in a while" kind of dirty. I did see a little baby roach.Breakfast was a little carb heavy, but that is somewhat expected for a cheap hotel.I noticed that another reviewer mentioned that it was pretty much in the middle of nowhere, and this is totally true. It took me about 15-20 minutes to drive up to the next town to go to a walmart to pick up some odds and ends.So while it was really underwhelming, I am not sure if the price balanced the cons. I think it might be worth an extra 10-20 dollars to get a hotel closer to Tuscaloosa if you are traveling along I 59.

Basic, clean, affordable, comfortable place to spend the night while traveling cross-country. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and offered all the basics. Complimentary water and sodas were appreciated. The place stands by itself, without the usual collection of gas stations and restaurants, but those can be found within a few miles of the area.

The staff is absolutely excellent in every area. The room is large it’s clean. The continental breakfast was very good. Parking lot is big it’s well lit. I feel safe here. I travel a lot and I don’t see one thing wrong with this is hotel. If you need something to eat, you can drive to get it or you can use GrubHub. I was so happy in order to get off the road last night. And this place was more than I expected. I will definitely be back to the facility.

Professional wrestling took place in the room above us and around 5 am give or take a few minutes, the smell of weed filled our room like every one woke up and lit a joint on the 2nd floor. I would NOT recommend this place if you have kids or want to sleep. The front desk staff was very nice and the breakfast was excellent tho.Nearby activities: None.Walkability: You can walk to work if you work at Mercedes/Brose area.

Stayed for one night. There were fleas in my room that would jump on you as you walked across the floor. Told the staff and they gave me a discount for the trouble. The sheets had hair on them when I pulled the covers back so I went down to get fresh ones. I made my bed and slept good. They have free cookies and drinks. There is laundry and a workout room. Ok stay in a pinch. Continental breakfast was ok.

Yhe location is tucked off the highway. My puppy could run a bit. A little. A little noise from the road. The bed was comfy there's a hot breakfast. I wish the complimentary drinks weren't all diet coke or Pepsi. I'm a spite kinda girl. The staff was noch. Everyone I came across was cheery all smiles happy to say hi. It not to often you find an entire staff happy about the work they do and where they work. I will be back just cause the staff. Thank you you ladies are all great. Shout out to the housekeepers. From a housekeeper to one the room was fantastic. I have no complaints. Thank you.Rooms: The housekeepers are on point. I didn't mention the sheets were like new. No stains I mean. Thanks for that. I've stayed in some questionable places. This isn't one of them.

On our way to the hotel and when we arrived had us wondering just what we had gotten ourselves into, but when we actually settled in and relaxed we started to see the charm of the place. The hotel seems very dated and gives "The Shinning" vibes, but I don't count that as a negative, it can be refreshing in the sea of retro modern hotel designs. The parking lot is large and spacious as well as well lit. The staff was very friendly and helpful and put in the effort to at least try to fulfill all requests. The walls and doors seem kind of thin, the lights buzz, and the the room didn't have enough towels. But, the bed, sheets, and room were clean (the carpet is very old) and the shower has glorious water pressure. The breakfast is pretty mediocre only other apples and bananas and some processed cereal containers, muffins, bagels, yogurt, coffee, tea, and other common quick breakfast items. No fresh hot foods. In conclusion, the hotel is off the interstate yet somewhat secluded, it's a dated building that is still charming, and it is an affordable option that we would probably visit again.

Well, I didn't actually stay here. Hell, I didn't even go in the building or even get out of the car for that matter. I dropped my ear bud as I left Mercedes and pulled over into this parking lot to find it. But, since Google said I went here. And since Google continues asking me to rate it, I figure I might as well. I did, after all, get some great pics of the place. And I figured since the parking lot was immaculate and near 3/4 full capacity on a regular weekday, it must be an alright place. After all, what hotel is damn near full capacity in mid week with nothing going on in a small, rural southern town?A hotel worthy of a five star rating. That's what kind of hotel.Hope you enjoyed the pics. Tougher to take a quality photo like that than it looks!

How this place got reviews this high I'll never understand. It looks better outside than inside where everything is worn and shabby looking. Ceiling tile broken and missing in the hallway. Water stains on the ceilings in the hallway, room and bathroom and this was the second floor, not the top floor. The room had many Asian Beetles on the ceiling, walls and in the light fixtures. The cabinets were white, cheap looking IKEA-style and worn looking. The easy chair was well worn and sagging. In short, this place is a dump. I'll never be back

Less than hoped for. Saw the sign off Rt 20 for $78/night. Unfortunately, the rates had "just gone up" according to the staff. Extremely lumpy bed, toilet kept partially flushing, carpet smelled like dog pee. No nearby restaurants or other amenities to speak of, merely a 2-star hotel in a part of town where there are no others. If you stay, make sure it isn't room 211. No hot breakfast. But I was able to complete 2 loads of laundry for $4.50 and the staff was friendly. It really was my fault because I broke the "3-star hotel" rule.

I came in late, at the last moment because a room reserved at another hotel was not accommodating to a physical disability that I have. This was the quickest and easiest check-in. The woman at the desk was professional and very sweet. The room was very clean, and the air conditioner was amazing! I enjoyed the grab n' go breakfast, and I appreciate the smooth check out process. A nice, quiet place to stay.

My daughter, my pets and I evacuated because of Hurricane Ida (8/2021). Greystone was the only one of like 15 places I called that had availability. What makes them even better is that there was no breed or weight restrictions for dogs and they allow cats. When we arrived the staff was super friendly, check in was easy. The hotel was clean and the room was clean. Yes, I agree with others in that it could be spruced up/upgraded a little, but it wasjust fine! They were so accommodating to our needs and they gave my dog so much love. I actually bothered the front desk a lot and everyone was just so happy to help. I would definitely recommend this place.
