Everyone here is extremely friendly, competent, and helpful. I nneded to see them and they had me come right in. Their prices are excellent, and they really seem to care about your pet and you as the pet owner. I plan to take all of three of my kitties to them.

As always, everyone there is great and our animals love you all. Zeus and Blue both stay there all the time and Zeus just headed for the kennel when we walked in. He just assumed he was getting to stay without Blue which was perfectly fine with him.

They always take such good care of my girl. She isn’t the best patient sometimes because she gets very scared. They are so patient to let her warm up. I feel very comfortable there and love their staff. Also, their prices are reasonable compared to other vet offices in my area.

I'll keep this as direct and concise as possible. My cat was treated for a urinary blockage there and while I am grateful that he was treated successfully, there are some things that I absolutely cannot overlook. He was hospitalized for ~5 days due to his blockage and given a urinary catheter. I was told by the front desk when calling for updates that if after they remove the catheter and he urinates on his own, he could come home.I called one afternoon after his catheter was removed and asked for an update and they said he was peeing on his own. I said, "that's awesome! Can I come pick him up this afternoon then?" The lady told me he needed to stay another night with no explanation as to why.I picked him up and brought him home with meds and care instructions. Part of that was giving an oral antibiotic daily. After a few days, my cat started vomiting up everything he ate. We took him back to the vet to be sure it wasn't something serious. They ruled out any major issues and assumed it was a reaction to the antibiotics. So we stopped the antibiotics. After his visit that day, he developed an upper respiratory infection from exposure to a sick cat (or cats) at the vet clinic. We called the vet to see if he needed to be seen because he was sneezing, panting, lethargic, and had no appetite. We were told to put him back on the antibiotics that were making him sick previously.A few days later, we took our cat in for his recheck for his urinary issues. The vet did another urinalysis and came back to talk to us. At this point, he explained that they didn't see any sign of infection, but they saw inflammation and they wanted to give him another set of antibiotic and steroid injections for "possible infection". A little backstory - about two weeks before he was seen for urinary issues, our cat was treated for feline stomatitis and give an antibiotic and steroid injection. If those had been working for his UTI, then he likely wouldn't have had such a severe UTI when he was seen for his urinary issues. So at this point, even though they didn't see a sign of infection, they chose to treat an infection with the same meds that previously did nothing to treat his UTI.It was also during this final visit when they came to give our cat his shots, the lady assisting the vet immediately and aggressively drug my cat out of his cage by his scruff even though my cat was calm, willing to be handled without a fuss, and could have easily been picked up in a gentler manner. It was also during this visit that we noticed this vet had their office decorated with racist items. There was a mammy doll sitting on their shelf in front for everyone to see. We confronted the front desk staff and asked if they knew what it was, and it was during this time that another member of their staff, a black woman, walked out and was listening. The older lady at the front desk answered "a piggy bank" and we replied, "we understand it's function - but do you know what this IS- what it represents?" And the same lady replied, "it's like the aunt jemima bottles"(You know, the racist syrup bottle that was discontinued and rebranded because of how racist it was)My partner then proceeded to explain how disgusting and racist it was to have this in a business ESPECIALLY with black employees and customers. The older lady at the desk kept trying to talk over my partner and say it wasn't theirs or their responsibility, that it belonged to the senior vet, and that she would move it to the back (where their black team members would have to continue seeing it).As a white person, it doesn't matter what the situation is- it's our job to notice and care when something is amiss. Acknowledging the presence of racism is absolutely crucial in moving towards not perpetuating racism. The fact that all of these people worked there and nobody chose to step up on behalf of their coworkers and clients is absolutely appalling. If you see something, say something.

I want to start with saying the doctor/owner was very kind and helpful! The problem is with the front desk lady with short brown hair. Extremely rude, I had to take my uncles dog in for what we thought was an emergency so I didn’t schedule an appointment. The entire time the lady was extremely rude to me and for this reason alone I will not be going back to them. I’ll be going to Walking in the moon vet in union springs from now on.

Highly disappointed and upset about the services received from this vet. I took my dog here 3 times within a week and they kept him in boarding for a few days. They diagnosed him with acid reflux and diarrhea. They never checked his stool. Took him to another vet for a second opinion and found out he had hooked worms but by then it was too late. My dog passed away. This could have been avoided if proper testing and diagnosing was done from the beginning by Troy Animal Clinic.

I rushed in there the other week when my dog got his face cut up out in my pasture. They were able to get me in immediately and get my boy stitched up. Now that a few weeks have passed and the stitches are out he healed up great. Plus you can hardly even tell that he ever cut himself. Love these guys and girl's over there. They have become my families vet office.

Dr Douglas is phenomenal! He's been so incredibly helpful with my fur babies. I've been taking my cats to TAC ever since they were kittens. My male cat(Duckling) had trauma to his left eye as a kitten, prior to me rescuing him, and Dr Douglas has been there to monitor it ever since I found Duckling. Yesterday we had the eye removed and I'm so impressed with the work and the kindness of the staff! I have tried a few animal clinics with my other animals and there's not a single one I trust more than TAC.

So apparently they only see dogs and cats. I mistakenly thought they treated livestock since the sign out front said vet Dr. I was able to get the animal hospital on 231 to diagnose my animals but the rudeness was totally unnecessary as well unprofessional.

I took my aging lab in on a Saturday due to a swollen leg she barely was able to walk. Starting with the staff being friendly, helpful, and organized. The Doctors and I say Doctors because I saw one on Saturday and the other on the following Friday when my dag walked into the clinic with no assistance. Her swelling was down and she is on her way to a complete recovery. Dr. Hawkins my thanks go out to you both for the excellent care you gave to my sweet girl.

Imagine my cousin bringing her dog to your establishment and him being misdiagnosed and dying!!! This could all have been preventable but due to educational incompetencies and a lack of concern he lost his life!!! DO BETTER TROY ANIMAL!!!! YOURE NOT GETTING AWAY with this criminal NEGLIGENCE!!!! This should be considered unlawful!!!! Now our fellow Pitbull is gone!!! YALL WILD for this!!!! Be-aware of this business!!! The lack of medical education regarding animals and misdiagnosing this is CRIMINAL!!!!!!!!!! This place should be CLOSED!!!!

While traveling through Troy, our doxie mix, Oliver, had symptoms of bloat. Even though we were not regular customers and showed up without an appointment or even a phone call, the girls got us in immediately.Dr Hawkins was gentle, thorough and knowledgeable. And he LISTENED.After appropriate tests, the diagnosis was a complete blockage of Oliver’s GI tract. Surgery removed 3 chunks of chew toy and saved Oliver’s life.Oliver can get “spicy” when scared or in an unfamiliar situation. Dr Hawkins allowed me to visit and when Oliver wouldn’t eat, let me feed him his own (approved/easily digestible) food.Oliver is well on his way to a full recovery. The charges were quite palatable (pun intended) considering the extent of care involved. My takeaway: Dr Hawkins and Troy Animal Clinic truly have their patients well being at heart.BTW, Dr Hawkins; your sutures are beautiful on Oliver’s tummy!

Caring, knowledgeable, and up-to-date care for your pet. I love that they use an app that helps you track appointments, medications, etc. My dog low key hates everyone except my family (especially men), but he has never had an issue getting check ups here or boarding here (and he's had problems elsewhere). When we go, he runs right inside with no hesitation. That's the most important review for me!

I cannot say ENOUGH about this clinic!!! Thank goodness they were there for us. While traveling we had an emergency with our 10 year old chihuahua. They saw her immediately, literally we pulled off the road to their clinic. I feel sure that they saved her, I cannot say how thankful I am to them.We were treated with kindness by everyone there. My gratitude always 🙏 ❤️
