This is my 3rd time coming to this store and had to deal with bad customer service! I'm not sure what the cashier's name due to the fact that she always wears a jacket. I don't know what the issue is but I'm hoping it's not because of the color of my skin. She is friendly to everyone else.

I tried this store out because the manager at the store in Columbaina is very rude. Well this store isn't any different. They don't speak or anything. Greeting a costumer goes a long way. I could say more but nobody cares. So I'm done with this store. I'll spend my money where I feel appreciated.

The store manager at Shelby, AL location is the rudest most hateful public service representative I have ever encountered!! She is always like this. I cringe at the thought of having to go there during the day hours because, she is most likely going to be there. I cannot believe this lady hasn’t been fired by now. Every body in the area who shops there constantly complains about her!!! I’ve tried to search for the district manager to bring this to their attention. Hopefully they will read this post.

I get my whole milk here now & it’s always fresh (I can’t say the same for the nearest grocers), they always have my sugar free Gatorade, …decent beer & toilet paper prices. Isles are crammed w/stock to navigate & don’t expect exemplary service…..BUT, it’s a dollar store. Definitely worth it! I’ll keep doing my weekly runs to this Dollar General.

Just the like the other reviews, the lady is very rude and seems like she hates her job and life and takes it out on the customers. Gonna start taking advantage of the surveys so I can at least get $3 off for this messiness.

This dollar general store is gross and the employee talk about the customers in front of employees someone told them the restroom was gross and she was like I just started here there are procedures.she just had her music playing and kept saying I don't know how to do this in new and told the other employees I just told her i don't know I'm new im new..

Very nice to have a store like this as far away from town as we are. Very competitive prices so you don't have to spend $7 on a roll of toilet paper from the gas station!!! Usually has plenty of products on the shelves but I have noticed that after a nice summer weekend on Sundays the store is pretty bare. I don't think it is a problem with the employees because this store is so close to Lay Lake that I have seen the parking lot full on many occasions and stay that way all weekend. It is the only store like it for probably 10 - 15 miles. Excellent job Dollar General!!! 👍👌

Store isn't very organized and so far, most of the employees I have encountered could use another class or two on customer service. Not rude necessarily but nobody is breaking their necks to help you either. I wouldn't not recommend anyone going here but it wouldn't be the first place I tell someone to visit either.

After years of going here . This incident will be my last visit.I went for a pack of hamburger buns . Get to the counter and he came over . Rang up 1.31 and went on doing other things.Put my money on the counter and went to look at the red box .Then he is going to confront me while I still have 1.31 bag of buns and I left 1.40 because he isn't doing his job.How long am I supposed to wait for him to come back and take my money for a simple purchase.He wouldn't let it go and continued to tell me I did something wrong and suggested I had been stealing.A pack of hamburger buns that I paid for I don't think fits that bill young man.I will go to another one from now on .

My wife bought two bags of christmas candy that had been marked down to $0.25 per the posted sign. She originally picked up only one but at check out she asked the clerk if they were really only a quarter. The clerk said yes and my wife said she wanted to buy two and the clerk stepped around and got another one. When she got home and bragged about her good deal I looked at the receipt and she had been charged a $1.50 each. Three days later she took her receipt in and a opened bag of candy in and the clerk refused to credit her for the overcharge because the clerk said they were just going on sale today. My wife pressed the issue and the clerk finally gave her a $1.00 credit instead of the 2.50 she was due. What poor customer service..................

Employees are very helpful, but they could use about five more sets of hands. It's very difficult to handle customers up front and stock a store at the same time. Hire some folks, my gosh, y'all are printing money.

Not good. You don't expect a lot from the dollar store, but you do expect things to be priced correctly, not here! Shelves read one thing, register says another. Manager seems to lack customer service skills as well as motivation to organize the store.

The store itself is ok. It gets busy and they get a lot of bussiness so they don't always have what I need. My real problem and the reason I rate low is the women that work there. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go here, Del Valle Ross rd location, the cashiers are ALWAYS gossiping about their fellow employees and its really kind of trashy because they use names and in front of customers. They are very unprofessional and it's unattractive to the store. Like please stop talking and just check my things out so I can leave.

Good parking, clean facility, good selection, ice cream prices are high, selection of cheese luncheon meat items very limited, often out of Orange juice, good price on eggs, good prices on paper goods, high prices on pet foods. I give them a 5 star rating because of location convenience to my home.

Busy ailes hard to get through and find what you need, usually out of product or shelves so badly stocked you cant find what you need. staff not very polite save the cashier, manager especially rude and talked to employees rudely and inappropriate in front of customers, old staff was much friendlier new staff seems rude and too busy all the time to help customers .

I go to the Dollar General at least a few times a week. I always find what I need especially since my Dollar General has finally decided to carry the lactose intolerant milk for my baby girl. I buy snacks and juices and all my laundry needs.

Decent little store, but can have a line at the register at times. But there is no grocery store in Del Valle, so what do you expect. Wish they would go back to selling beer.

I like to come here whenever I'm on my way to get gas. They have pretty good deals. I always end up buying alot cause I just love the deals. It's a nice store to check it out.

This Dollar General store is very busy all the time.And the line is long most of the time. But the employees do have it under control tho.Overall it is ok.I give it a 4 because it is not always stocked as it should be.

Excellent place I live near the location Dollar general is always reasonable on their prices this store has items that some Dollar generals don't which include water toys and lake items since I'm near the water

Computers kept messing up. Usually only takes 30 mins tops to add money to my chime card. Needless to say, I am still waiting on it to load and it's been over a hour! I had an emergency and needed to send to someone asap

It is OK but you can expect to stand in line for a bit usually long line to check out need to have more employees available to check people out when needed I have always had to stand in line atleast 5 to 10 minutes to check out.

Shelby Alabama Dollar General is the worst! Out of milk,out of bread, stuff strowed everywhere, carts sitting all in the aisles, and you can't get to find what you're looking for! Definitely needs someone in there to straighten things out! This is an ongoing thing to, not just every now and then! It's going down hill fast if management doesn't get in there and hire someone to work, and do their job!!!

Both of the employees were standing outside smoking a cigarette while there were 6 customers in the store. I asked one of the young ladies for the bathroom key and was told "they were on break and would get in a minute." Unbelievably rude.

My sister works there, only had one incident when a wrapper was open, so the worker let us have a different one for free, very nice, a big store!

Came out here in the morning and the store is closed. Said would reopen at 2:45 am. What kind of crap is that. They seem to do this a lot. For a 24 hr store. All I have to say is who is their manager. Not very good for customers.

Shelby Ala. ---Cooler /freezer completely EMPTY for weeks. No dog food on shelves ever. No reason to shop there if nothing bit seasonal on the shelves

The prices are not exactly what you call "Dollar General". At all. They have a dollar isle, well section, I call it consisting of maybe, maybe twenty-five actual dollar items, MAYBE. THEY ATE ALWAYS OUT OF THE DOLLAR ITEMS AND IM QUITE CERTAIN I CULD ZPEND LESS IF I COULD GET TO WAL-MART. THE CONVIENCE IS THE BEST THING ABOUT IT. THATS ALL!

Isles are usually cramped from the carts for stocking. Some if the staff is nice and helpful but a couple of them are rude.
