AC didn’t work in first room (as in wouldn’t come on at all). No problem, they put us in another room. Older, run down room, but clean. However, the outside was literally covered in hundreds of cigarette butts near every entrance/exit. I waited almost 10 minutes to check out because no one was at the front desk. When she finally appeared I stated I had rang the buzzer 4 times. “That don’t work.” Uhm, maybe you should put up a sign letting guest know that. “I told the manager and he didn’t do nothing about it.” When I get my receipt I ask for her first name. She became irate. “You ain’t getting that just because you’re mad I was cleaning the kitchen.” I was polite throughout the experience but met with hostility for simply wanting to make a note of her FIRST name. Positives: Comfortable bed with clean sheets and towels and the air conditioning worked well. Negatives: There was unraveling carpet in high-traffic areas, visible painter's tape on the ceiling in our room, the shower head was dirty, the grimy remote control leading us to avoiding the TV and there was chipped paint in hallways and ceilings.Overall the bed was comfortable and the towels and linens were clean but, the hotel could benefit from some cosmetic updates.

I won't ever stay there again!!! When I looked there rooms up online they looked really nice and at a really good price. Got checked in to find out that the elevators didn't work and we where on the 3rd floor the stairwell smelt like straight up dog urine and wet dog mixed. Was not clean at all. We got to our room after bringing up all our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. The hallway to the room smelled horrible. The room looked like it was out of the horrible 70 show. I let the looks go but the rug looked like it hasn't been vacuumed in a few months the shower was gross. I go to turn on the water and it comes out a light brown. I got 3 kids with me no sir I'm not giving my toddler a bath in that. The walls still had painters tape on it from when they painted the room. The wall that had the desk on it you can tell it caught fire from electricical. You cant paint over that. The outside of the hotel wasn't even lite up at all. There are random people sitting at the front door charging their phones. People in the woods. I will say if you ever plan on staying there DONT!!!!! worse hotel I've stayed at ever! I checked in and checked right back out!! Then they didn't want to refund me my rewards!!Rooms: Nasty, smelly 🤮

I recently spent 4 days at the La Quinta Inn in Satsuma, and it was a delightful experience! The rooms were cozy and well-maintained, offering all the comforts of home. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The concierge was especially accommodating making sure to promptly respond to my requests and always ready to assist with any needs. The location is convenient, making my travels around Satsuma a breeze. Breakfast was a treat each morning, with a good variety of options. The manager made sure to ensure my stay was as pleasant as possible.Overall, it provided great value for the price. Highly recommend for a comfortable and hassle-free stay!Noteworthy details: The standout feature of my stay was the incredibly helpful concierge service at the front desk. He was always available, assisted with recommendations, promptly addressing any queries, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. His friendly and accommodating approach truly enhanced my experience at the hotel.

This place is rundown and needs some maintenance and TLC. The staff could also use some training. When I checked in, they tried to just charge me without giving me any info on the amount or what type of room I would get, didn’t explain anything to me, and didn’t provide a receipt. Upon arrival to my room, another guest warned me not to eat the food as they’d seen roaches in the serving area and the staff told them there’s nothing they could do about it.The main good things I have to say about it:* bed was comfortable and I got what I needed (a place to sleep where I could bring my pet)* there is a fitness center and other amenities that are functional, even if they are missing equipment and have some broken stuffRooms: Despite a bunch of weird details (globe covers with multiple different colored lightbulbs inside that flickered), holes in curtains, torn up carpets, weird paint jobs, etc… the bed was comfortable and had what we needed.Noteworthy details: Double-check if the food area is clean enough to trust the food.Careful of the to go coffee cups, as ours leaked.Fitness center has some sizes of dumbbells missing.

100% DO NOT recommend. Booked this hotel for a week of work because it was the closest to the site. After my travel day, and a quick visit to the site. Took 3x for the room key card to work right. Let's start with the hallway. If there could be some sort of horror-movie music playing, it would fit. I don't think there was a wall that wasn't marked up, missing bits, or stained. Well, heavily trafficked area, perhaps the room would be better. Wrong. Once I got in the room, (again, key programmed 3 times), I though the A/C was off. It was that stuffy in there. Nope, it was set to 68*. It felt like it could rain in the room at any moment. I set the temp down to 64* to try and get some moisture out of the air. Then, I started to actually look around at the room. I should have never checked-in. The walls were stained and discolored, which thanks to the very minimal lighting, was difficult to see. Upon closer inspection, I'm fairly certain some of it was just stains and discoloration, but mold. Those are the 2 pictures I've posted. The carpet was torn up, smoke detector dangling from the ceiling, lamp shades hanging on by a thread....literally. I booked a Hampton Inn up the road and immediately left this building that should be condemned. The one shining, spot: people were nice. That's not worth a case of scabies though.

The service was excellent me and my fiancé went for a business trip on 1/13/24 we only stayed for one night the lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly and had great customer service. The rooms are ok can’t complain to much because we did not pay the company paid.But the room (305 by the elevator)doors (bathroom,front door, and closet doors)need to be cleaned and replaced asap.

My stay here at La Quinta was great and very comfortable. It's a pet-friendly hotel which is awesome!! Super nice staff, answered all my questions. They offer a delicious hot breakfast with a lot of options to choose from. The room was nice and cosy. It’s conveniently located near restaurants which is nice. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay!! 🙂

Booked the room through Expedia and didn't realize the check-in was for 3:00pm. We were trying to check-in at 2:00am! The gal at the desk was just wonderful!!! She was able to adjust the day/time so we could check-in immediately! We just needed to sleep for a few hours and she made that happen! Nice hotel. Pet friendly. Awesome staff. Thank you, Anita!!!

DON'T STOP HERE. DON'T STAY. A tent in the woods is better. The staff was very friendly however, GUESTS BEWARE...we will not stay here again and will strongly recommend others avoid this hotel. The hotel is outdated, filthy and smells like a hamster cage. We we're assigned room 210 and there were pubic hair shavings all over the toilet, sink vanity and the shower/tub, the room had clearly not been cleaned. We alerted the front desk and were promptly swapped to room 318 where it was a tad better but still had trash from previous guests as well as mold or some kind of powder all over the beds and furniture. Just filthy. Probably some kind of bug treatment or mold all over. The musty hamster smell was foul. We woke up with bug bites all over us. The a/c didn't work in that room either. As sweet as the front desk lady was, she could only do so much and apologized, she said they just hired a new housekeeper but that is no excuse, according to my post stay review research, these are ongoing issues being left unaddressed. I stayed here the night of 12/30/2022. Would not recommend. For the price paid the room was absolutely not up to standards.In terms of things that were broken:The temperature control was barely working and was propped up by wood planks. The fire alarm had been tampered with and was detached from the wall. The refrigerator was not working and spoiled food we were traveling with.In terms of sanitation:There was mold on the bedside lamps and in the bathtub. The floor did not seem to be mopped or vacuumed. The room smelled horrible and the air left myself and my wife with a mountain of allergies the day after.In terms of customer service:At check in the staff was initially welcoming. Once settled in we tried to change our room but the staff was not helpful, and we ended up having to stay where we were.There are many other options at this price point within 10 minutes of this location. I would highly recommend looking into those hotels instead.

I’ll spare you the long story of the many things that led up to me deciding this is the worst La Quinta I’ve ever stayed at. This place tarnishes the La Quinta name. It’s pretty much falling apart in the room. You can tell that it’s not being taken care of in a very obvious way. The other reviewers say the breakfast is at least decent. We shall see.Update: Breakfast was okay at best. Coffee was not drinkable. In the morning we noticed that we had been bitten by some sort of bugs under our arms. Just keep driving people. Don’t stop here unless it’s an emergency for you to get off the road.

There was a time where La Quinta meant that it was well maintained and clean. Those days are gone. In addition to the photos you see, my room had been smoked in, but La Quinta felt no obligation to move me or set up an ozone machine to clear it out. The room was extremely humid and damp. Doors opened and closed with difficulty, bathroom was in need of a lot of work. The bed was quite comfortable though and appreciated.

Don’t know how this hotel has 3.3 stars?!? They gotta be paying bot reviewers because it ain’t MATHIN!! Just like everyone else said, this place is GROSS!!!!! Like NASTY!!! I wish foreigners would try to accommodate American standards of cleanliness! Plus the curtains give no privacy?!? Whose bright idea was it to install curtains that don’t close??!!

We stayed in room 201 and the room was clean and the A/C is cold! The carpet in the hallways need a makeover but the carpet and floors in room were good. I usually hate being barefoot in hotel rooms but these floors were decent and not sticky or extremely dirty. You'll always have some dirt collections in corners or unlikely areas. The womon whose name I don't know that checked me in, was nice and got me checked in quickly. The breakfast was great! They had hot sausage, eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, grits (I think), bomb potatoes, and a diy waffle that was all delish! This is in addition to bagels, toast, yogurt, juices, milk, and coffee. I would stay here again and recommend this location. For a 3-star hotel, this one deserves 5 stars!

I am an old LaQuinta client but this location is the worst. The bedroom AC was broken with mold and rust, one of the bed frames had metal bars coming out. The fridge, not working, had a dirty towel inside and a bunch of water in the floor. The smell was horrid. There was lots of hair in the pillow cases. The pillows were very dirty. The staff avoided clear communication, seems like she was hiding from the problem. I was told under false pretenses that I will be charged a fee of $25.00. I checked out right away but they charged my card the whole amount of 2 nights, when i did not even stayed one. Windham will do NOTHING, just tell you to solve it with the manager. After they told me I was refunded for one night, my bank told me there was nothing pending and started a fraud investigation.

The hotel needs some cosmetic updates, but at least the room was acceptable, clean and smelled good, towels, bed sheets weren't worn. They had a full breakfast and it was okay, the dining room needed more attention. overall it was fine for one night.

Absolutely amazing!!! Staff was so friendly. My first night at a different place was so bad that I got the next closest room I could find and it was here. It was so clean. We explained that our daughter is disabled and falls alot so they made sure to give us a room where she would not disturb other guest. I will definitely be coming back to this place the next time we vacation in mobile. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful hospitality. I stayed in room 318

This hotel is the only one in Satsuma. To visit Calvert and other places around this hotel is a great option.I had visited this hotel many times in the past. To be honest I wasn't very happy. But this time things really looked much better. I understand that there is a change in management and the new owner is extremely sincere and dedicated. Rooms, general facilities show improvements. Kiran, the new owner attends each guests during breakfast, interacts and ensure that guests have the best possible experience. I wish them the best.
