I have not been in Penneys for far too long. The store was well-lit, clean, fairly well-stocked, & inviting. Every single employee I passed--at least 6, spoke, greeted me & offered to assist me. Great customer service which speaks volumes about the fine employees & management. Very impressive!

Great sale today I kinda went crazy with my purchases but I felt relived with the help of an amazing sales associate Tamarry!! She was so helpful and so sweet helping me pick out textiles for my new home. 800+$ worth of merchandise for about 350$ She should be promoted to manager! She walked with me around the home dept and made suggestions on what colors I should go with. I was very pleased thank you Prattville JC Penny . I LOVE your style!!!

I love Thomas at the hair salon he is incredible and very good with kids. Got a great hair cut and he is so personable and talks to u the whole time. We love him and will return.

My mother, daughter, and I went to JC Penney, the store was nearly empty with very little selection, but we managed to find somethings we were looking for. I also saw an item in the jewelry section I adored, but after 15 minutes of being ignored by the man at the jewelry counter with multiple attempts by myself and my child to get his attention, we gave up. We headed to check out and stood in line for 15 minutes with 3 cashiers working and only 4 people ahead of us. There seems to be no expectation of efficient check out here. When it was our turn to check out 1 cashier walked away and another moved to the other register to fold clothes for the third cashier’s customer. While she was doing this she was smirking at us and laughing at our obvious surprise that she would refuse to check us out. The supervisor who was previously directing people to check out counters stood and watched and ignored us as well. The patrons in front of us even commented that it must be because of our race. We ended up putting our things on the counter and began leaving. As we were leaving, a female manager I believe, approached us and asked what was wrong. My mother continued to the car not wanting to discuss it further, but the couple that was in front of us stopped and told her we were refused checkout seemingly because of our race. The woman looked to me and I described the cashiers behavior and the supervisors behavior and the manager simply said okay and walked inside. No apology, nothing.

My father placed an order online of an item that had 8 left in stock. They took forever to confirm the order in any way so he went to the store to go ahead and buy the item before it sold out and go ahead and cancel the online order. They refused to allow him to do so when he explained what his plan was and stated he HAD to wait for his order to be filled or buy two of the same item and then return the one they planned to eventually send him. After no confirmation? The main gripe is…why not allow him to cancel the order for in store pick up and just allow him to buy the item while he was there.

Tried to do business here. Wasted my time. Sign in window indicates they're open until 7pm on Wednesday night. Got there well before that. All doors are locked. Stupid. No wonder they're going to go out of business.

Huge selection. Great sales but original prices are a bit high. The customer service was great. Four stars because the cashier left the dye tag on my shirt and I had to drive back for them to remove it. However, I ended up finding more sales on my second trip. It was worth it. Spent 24$ on 50$ worth if clothing!

Had a bad experience with an online issue. Wasn't able to speak with a live operator, on the 1-800 number,. Call local store information, to no avail I was put on hold for 30 minutes, no answer. When it came down to it, my funds made it good for withdrawals, but my merchandise was either out of stock, with not letting me know my options or who must I communicate with other than a recorder. However, don't take my word for it, check it out for yourselves. 🤔😷😟

Made a appointment two weeks ago for my hair to be done in my birthday , which is today... And when I called to confirm the appointment no one knew what I was talking about.. they took my number and said they would call me back when they figured it out , that was 3 hours ago and I still have yet to hear anything back . So I went to framework hair salon to get it done . Not only are the organized, but the are polite, professional ,and amazing. I recommend you forget about jcwhatever and come get your hair done at framework I'm happy that they were so unorganized I would of never found this place .

I come to your Salon quiet often, ever since the Mask Mandate has expired I haven't had to ware a Mask entering the store or while having my hair done in the Salon. The last time I came into the Salon on 6/24/21 the Manager Jennie Decoff was very rude when telling me, not asking me to put my Mask on, I have been in customer service jobs for a long time and the most important thing is customer service. There are many ways to ask someone to ware a Mask without speaking very loudly and being rude.Just thought someone needed to know.

Great sale prices. Make sure you check all sales and discounts on your email account because the cashiers will not ask you about them. Social distance and mask requirements are used in the store.

Workers are very stereotypical. The cashier with short curly black hair was rude for no reason. All I said was “excuse me?” Because I could not hear her correctly. She made a rude remark afterwards while handing me the bag. It is not the same crew as it was a couple months ago. This JCPenney is not the same anymore.

Sales people are always friendly and helpful. I'm a big man and buy all my clothes there. Always have good deals other than around holidays. Love my Penny's store.

For the salon not the store. Don't take your kids to it. When you come up they ignore you. Then when they find out you have money they bend over backwards. No thanks. I grew up in my mom's salon EVERY customer regardless of what they look like is a client. They lost my 2 daughters, 2 sons, husband, and my monthly highlight n color, and weekly blow-dry style. Such bigotry. Still waiting on that southern hospitality.

Clothing selection is HORRIBLE! Need more updated selections in the Ladies department. The music in this store is HIDEOUS! Your customer base isn't 15-20! Mother's and Grandmother's are your customers! We prefer more of a calm atmosphere!

Ordered merchandise online shipped to store. After being notified merchandise was in picked up. One order was fine the other was the wrong size sent back mid November. Have called 800 number said it was shipped to local store. Called local store 3 times said they would check and get back to me, haven't heard a word. Went to store today where I spent over 45 minutes waiting for them to find my item, got tired of waiting asked for them to call and let me know. Still nothing this is a Christmas present.

I wasn't happy with the lack of knowledge from the staff. I was sent to three different areas to find queen size sheets for our sleeper sofa. I left. You can have JCPENNEY. I know no one want to work at department stores but this sucked.

I normally have excellent service anytime I get highlights and my hair cut at the salon but this wasn't one if those times.This time, the stylist complained so much I found myself apologizing at every turn.The stylist, Angie, had apparently been in a wreck sometime within the week I went to have my hair done and complained the whole time about having to do my hair.When my husband brought some water for me, he took me aside and asked ME why the stylist had an attitude.Such was her complaining about having to do my hair, I ended up sticking my nose in my phone just to escape her complaints and snippy comments...something I never do because it is rude.Yet when her next client came in for his appointment, she was all smiles and courteous to him. I guess I needed to be a male in order for her to be nice.It is a good thing that I actually liked the highlights even with her bad attitude but I will never use her again!

The Big and Tall section is a joke. They have "very little" to choose from as far as tall size clothing goes. I don't even attempt to browse anymore when I go in. I have to order online pick and pick up in store. That's the only reason I walk through the doors.

Went to the Sophora inside, and the 2 ladys that helped me as I trying to find 2 new products, were amazing. Not to mention it was close to closing time and they seemed unbothered, and I loved it. Additionally, I love the 2 new products they recommend
