4962 store will not ever get better when u have mangers chilling outside at 10 smoking with there boy friend and once them doors are lock u are not allow to go back outside and then take your key to unlock the door at all that's against the rules for dollar general and they wonder why that store will never change

Their lines there get very long with just two cashiers after work hrs but I like this location better than the one by my house. They stay more stocked and are very nice people as well. I do think they need more help after school and work hrs as they do get crowded.

Great variety & decent workers. Even though they are always slammed they get you taken care of just in case. All the merchandise needs more organization and especially things put with their correct price sticker because that doesn't make them seem professional or like they care.

I asked the cashier if they had something before she started ringing up my things, so obviously I hadn’t found everything I came to get. The cashier, Dana, was incredibly rude when I asked if I could run back and grab it after she said they should have it. She said she “didn’t want her line getting held up” and when I asked if she wouldn’t mind setting my things aside so she could take care of the couple behind me, she barked back that she would have to do a cancellation and she “tries to do as few of those as possible.” Honestly, that is terrible customer service and the worst experience I’ve had at any retail store. She basically told me I couldn’t go back and get what I needed because it would inconvenience her. I even work in retail and would never tell a customer something like that. Rudest employee I’ve encountered there. Will walk right back out if she is there from now on.

The white male who works their had an attitude with me over something so common in some customers...I was short just a few cents and told him I'll be back to get the change...he tells me in a very rude way "no, I guess I'll be shot on my register". I tell him it could be avoided he presses the print hard and in a fast way hands me my receipt. I just stood looking at him in a "really" way. Also, they have hissy fits about going in the back to get a product they do not have out. I used to work their I know it's very backed up in the back and hard to find stuff but, I still did what I could for my customers. The bathrooms are not cleaned properly...the list goes on. I'd like to know that one day this man's attitude is fixed if he has issues at home he should keep it at home...I know sometimes it's hard to boggle emotions but, we have to when working with the public.

This is a small store but has a little of everything other Dollar General's have. My only thing is that the opening manager or cashier works her behind off and no help. Dollar General needs to have 3 employees aatleast always. Its not fair tuat i go in the evening and ive seen 3 people working in the store. Get uer some help. She said s a great employee.

i want to brag on kim. She is such a great help and always helps me with everything with a smile on her face! Not much more i can say about this location though. The other employees and store manager is rude!! Also the store is a MESS!!

They're kind of slow at checking out. But other than that, they're Really good at pointing to you. In the direction you need been there many times and the shelves have been bear.

Went looking for a tongue scraper and to my dismay, there wasn’t even a spot for one. I don’t understand why that wouldn’t be in the shelf plan? But it opened my eyes as to how their marketing strategy works. I guess black people don’t need tongue scrapers?

This store has really been cleaned up! Very organized when I went in a couple of days ago. I was pleasantly surprised at the vast improvements made!

The store is much better now..except for the clothes especially the kids sizes are all mixed up but a lot better than a couple months ago. I think the staff is better also very friendly and helpful.

Just went to Dollar General in Montevallo. I watched as as an older woman struggled with her credit card. She couldn't get it to work. So several people started offering to pay for her items, including Daniel a gentleman that worked their. I ♥️ seeing people help others. Pay it forward cause someday we will all be old and need help.

The stores ok.i gave them a low rating solely because the short w male manager is VERY unprofessional an rude an it made the whole store experience horrible.i mean it’s a dollar general,if they keep the shelves stocked the stores are pretty much the same.so to me the rating for the store relies on the employees an how they handle things.the young an older women who work there are awesome,but the short manager is terrible...maybe the owner will see all these complaints about the same guy an do something about it.

This store is a disaster there's so many empty shelves if you go in there for 10 products you might come out with 2 of them I get so aggravated when I shop here the only good thing about this store is Kimberly Sanders Jessica Jackson & Meagan Gill This store needs to have overnight stockers to get all the merchandise out of the back room (which by the way should be major fire risk)
