Walmart is a wonderful place to shop. Walmart appears to have everything one could ever want in taking care of daily household need. I just went when approaching staff or customer service representatives they have been helpful and knowledgeable. This particular neighborhood market or this particular Walmart as 1 that is frequented regularly by myself and my family. This is due to its proximity. Additionally Walmart is always On the cutting edge of price challenges and often have comparatives or better prices than other stores. This Walmart did not appear to be one that was overly abused by those that frequent it and the appearance and cleanliness was awesome.

Looks like a pretty meh and dodgy Walmart from the outside, but they carry some things that other stores, and even other Walmarts, do not. Particularly Mexican stuff, like specialty dried peppers and corn husks (for tamales)--and La Banderita chorizo, which isn't the best but is still miles better than that Cacique garbage which is the only option in most places, locally. Galileo salame/pepperoni, swiss Gruyere, Bob's Red Mill white grits, Crown bourbon maple syrup, stuff like that. Surprising for such a store, really, but ultimately still a standard Walmart otherwise.

Every time I have been in this neighborhood market, the employees have always been attentive and friendly. The store is consistently well stocked, clean and orderly, and the management staff are always available and helpful. Love you guys!!

This is a good Wal-Mart store. They have very good grocery items, cleaning items and pharmacy items for such good prices. They have good produce and I like their pizza options you can bake at home. They have my favorite Talenti Gelato for a nice ice cream sweet treat. Staff is good and store seems clean and nice so good for shopping.

The staff at the pharmacy went above and beyond to help me get my medicine. We browsed the store and was quite surprised at the food selections alone and how extensive it was. Definitely will be back.

This location is normally busy no matter the time or day of the week. The turnover of employees seems high, as I haven't ran into the same employee more than twice (with a few exceptions); but the employees are always friendly and helpful. The checkout lines can be ridiculously looong sometimes.Update: it's almost ALWAYS frustrating as hell now. Rarely are the checkouts properly staffed!

It was a great visit last time I went although they were very busy! The workers were very courteous and helpful and it was pretty much a one stop shop! They do need slightly better safety features for COVID-19. Overall it's a place I don't mind shopping at the moment!

An associate who wasn’t even in uniform made a derogatory remark toward me as I was checking out. The checkout girl didn’t even attempt to stop him or defend me. After I made it CLEAR I was not in the mood for jokes, he then snickered at me to the associate and made me very uncomfortable as I was checking out. I thought the way he came over toward me he was going to try to kill or kidnap me.

The prices are there but the service is not. Only two checkouts with a person working at it.The self checkout was backed up and people seemed to be having issues. The lines were really backed up. Three employees just walked around trying to act like they were doing something while another helped people with the getting through the self checkout.I finally broke down and went through the self check out and it has issues with reading tags. The bags would not open, my back hurt and I was tired from working all day and the self check out just made it all worse.I will only go there when I really need something and do not have the time to go elsewhere. And when I do not need much of anything.But .... if that happens again. I will just leave it in the Isle and leave.It is ridiculous to run a store like that.

Nice associate but order was supposed to be ready by 12. It's now 25 mins later and we are still in the parking lot. She mentioned we could leave and come back but we live over an hr away so that's not an option. Instead we get to waste our day in your parking lot.

I have never had a less than stellar experience in this store. I have been coming here for about a year and a half and it’s always a wonderful experience. The store is so clean and organized. And the staff are beyond friendly. I had an issue with a return once and the GM made it right! She earned my loyalty!

This Walmart was tolerable during the plandemic.. now there are no more crazy people wearing masks, as often. I feel sad for the employees at this store that are masked up because they are required to, and dislike Walmart corporation even more for abusing their employees.

Love this market. I was actually depressed when they closed the one in my former town. Great prices and variety, variety, variety.My only qualm is that it is really a feat trying to get help from staff...But it is a very laid back and calming shopping experience, until after 20 minutes of looking for canned tomatoes in the canned vegetable isle, only to find out that it was actually in the pasta isles..I'm like are you serious??? I'm going to grad 4/5 stars for the ridiculously placed diced tomatoes placement, and help or assistance not be readily available.Other than those micro annoyances this is a great place, with great prices, and variety, variety, variety....

Self check out Associate, a male, was awful. Items would not scan and he took his slow time until an police officer asked another associate to assist. She was on her cell phone and said she will let them know...AWFUL Horrible...They just don't want to work

Great neighborhood store. I like dropping in and getting out in little of no time. Sometimes self checkout gets a little busy but they usually have two lanes open with cashiers. Fruits and veggies are fresh. And store is very clean and organized.

I've been shopping there for years. It's not a big store, but it's a lot less walking if you just need food. The store is clean and well stocked.

Meh it's Wal-Mart. I hope you like self checkout because register lanes are insanely long with usually only one or two cashiers open. Employees in the front are more focused on loss prevention and watching customers checking out and leaving. The stickers and deli people get 5 stars they are the only reason to shop here. One major complaint I have is Boston creme or Bavarian donuts aren't stocked at this location. Don't use the Pepsi drink machine because it dispenses the wrong sodas every time.

Did grocery pick up, and had it scheduled for 6-7. Right around 6 I got a message that my order was delayed. So after about an hour my wife called to see how long it might be, and was told they weren’t sure. He said they are behind because they had an influx of orders. You have to schedule your pick up, and once all the slots are full, you can’t get a pick up. So how in the world did they all of a sudden get an influx of orders? Anyway, 2 hours later my order was finally ready. Terrible service!

Neighborhood Walmart on Overlook and University blvd in Mobile, Al. The guy that was in the meat department on 6/20/2022 was very unprofessional. He didn’t want to the slice chicken. Tried to charge more for the chicken we selected and when corrected about the prices he said I don’t know about everything and wasn’t willing to correct anything. They need to replace him in that department. I know people have bad days but when dealing with the public at your place of employment no one should know your having a bad day.

This is our favorite of the many little Neighborhood Walmarts in the area. Friendly employees often greet us here, as well as the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, both of whom are willing to take time to help out with customers just like the employees. The produce, meats, and bakery items are always fresh, and selection and inventory throughout the store is consistently very good. Also, gotta give a shout out to Miss Judith and all of the crew in the pharmacy, who consistently go above and beyond for us. Love this neighborhood market!

Friend tried buying a razor that was up on the shelf they told us they couldnt sell it to us due to its not in the system go wait at cutomer service for 5 min go get help help pulls up in wheel chair and says they will help us on register 5 that has two ppl with groceries not the best experience to have here it seems they dont know what to do

I bought a rewetting eyedrop but the cash back was all in $20 bills. I needed to break my $20 to one $10 and two $5s so I went to Customerservice she said they don’t give out change with an attitude. I was standing waiting till she open the registered and she give a lot of change to the customer in front of me so I asked her again she said no mom I don’t have change.So I went to the first cashier she called her on the phone not to give me a change. She said my supervisor told me not to give you a change ok fine so I return my item and that supervisor called the security what the heck! She’s a floor manager but she have a *hitty attitude towards the customer. I’m pulling my prescriptions somewhere else.

Here's a story...I went through self checkout and bought ice. I went to the bin to retrieve it, and told guy guy standing there that it was on my receipt. He didn't acknowledge me, so I continued with "You don't even care, do you?" He shrugged, and I picked up my ice and left.There are a couple of employees that are great, but on average the customer service here is terrible. The glass on the scanners at self checkout is often dingy with crud. The small parking lot is usually trashy and carts are often left in the parking spots. It's not uncommon to see workers hanging out at the corner or on the side of the building.---I have another great experience to add. On 7/27/18 I went in with a shopping bag to pick up a few things - something I've done many times before. I placed an item into my bag, and a worker comes running up to me with a cart. He asks me to remove my items and place them into the cart instead of the bag because it was a security risk. I looked at him like he'd lost his mind. The bag I was using was purchased from that same store. The point of buying it was to avoid pushing around a cart when I only needed a few items. I called a manager over at self checkout to ask if I could place my items into the bag to carry out. She responded with "mmhmm" and walked away. I didn't think the customer service here could get any worse.On a side note, the 4.1 rating for this location is absolutely not reflective of the experience you'll have. It was about 2.6/5 when I wrote my original review. There's some funny business going on here.

Not much to say about this standard Walmart except it can be somewhat annoying to check out since the lines can get very long and they don’t often have more than 2 check out lanes open. The self checkout is also always longer. Because of this, it’s not a great place to grocery shop when you only have one or two items to pick up. Wish they had an express lane for 10 or less items.

Watch out for higher prices! Very nice attendant at the self check out ran after me when I forgot to get my cash back! Very busy location, so self-checkouts were all backed up, as were regular checkouts. The neighborhood stores DO NOT have all the same low prices on all products, only on some. Compare to Supercenter prices so you know what you're being charged.

Great little store has everything you need and I was able to find a movie I have been looking for as well. The staff are friendly and it's located in what I believe is a great location with a gas station attached. The only thing they can work on is there deli I wanted chicken bites and they were very old and they wouldn't cook more. Fix that and this will truly be a five star store.
