I called 12 vets a few days ago when my dog stopped eating and was just very sick. Yes, TWELVE. I was pretty sure he had an obstruction and I couldn’t get in with ANYONE (not even our current vet at the time). But by the grace of God I saw Cottage Hill Animal Clinic on google and got in to see Dr. Slaughter and we have absolutely found our new vet! Every person in the building was so kind and helpful and Dr. Slaughter is the kind of vet (and just person in general) that the world needs more of! I am a single mom working full time and still sometimes barely making ends meet and the pricing was very affordable! Dr. Slaughter did everything he possibly could to help us! He was so kind and it just warmed my heart to see someone still in the field to actually HELP animals and their humans! We were shown true compassion and great professional care and I am so beyond grateful to him and his staff. Thanks to them, my sweet doodle got the help he needed! We will be going here forever from here on out!

My first-time here as we just moved to Mobile.Staff was super nice and the vet very knowledgeable. I do wish we could download first time paperwork so that it can be filled out ahead of time.My dog is wiggly and isn't comfortable around other dogs,so was difficult to do that with her.Otherwise it was a great routine visit.

First, let me start by saying I would never trust any other animal clinic with my two babies other than Dr. Slaughter and his group of amazing young ladies. Cottage hill animal clinic is the best clinic I'm mobile that's why I've trusted them with my babies for the past ten years. I love this group of people and am blessed to have found such a caring, understanding, loving, beautiful, group. If you love your animals as I do you wouldn't trust anyone other than this group to care for your animal(s). I 100% recommend this team!

Honest, compassionate, and professional. Milkdud had broken his fang. The tooth was lost by the time we got there, but he was screened, vaccinated, and fixed by the time we left. We were given great health tips and advice. You've earned our trust. Thank you.

I can’t say enough about this vet. They were my first primary veterans office. I was with them for almost 12 years. I know live in Baldwin county but I would highly recommend them to anyone. The staff is so friendly and they truest care for you furry family members.

Yesterday I called and spoke to a very lovely person name Amber and she was able to immediately make me appointment unfortunately my cat passed away at home before we could make it. I’m going to use this animal clinic for all my future appointments if I ever get another fur baby. when I called back to cancel she was very sweet and understanding. I know last minute appts are not ideal, but No other clinic in the area even my own that I’ve been going to for years could get it me in or took the time to try. Thank you so much to amber. (I believe that was her name) .

My wife and I were traveling through Alabama and needed to make an emergency stop for our Goldendoodle “Willow” who we suspected might have had an ear infection. We found Cottage Hill Vet on Google and went there because of the great reviews. They did not disappoint us at all!! Amber greeted us promptly and very warmly from the minute we made the phone call. She was able to get us an appointment within 48hrs. Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles and attended immediately to get our dog checked out. Dr. Slaughter (don’t be scared by the name he is a sweet man lol) he took great care of Willow and got her ears all cleaned up and added an ointment. Our visit took less than an hour and they showed great care and respect towards me being a veteran. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND this veterinarian clinic.I have been to many clinics being military since I travel a lot and this by far was top notch. Thank you Cottage Hill!! ❤️

This clinic and its staff are absolutely incredible!This was my first time to a vet clinic and my first time taking care of a baby kitten, and I'm beyond impressed with the level of care, attention, and love they give to the animals and owners they provide care for.Top tier staff who are super friendly and eager to help whenever you need it. Interacting with them made me happier and feel more at peace with what would otherwise be an uncomfortable and worrisome experience. My kitty was sick and they were very quick to provide the insight and care he needed.Dr Slaughter is knowledgable, honest, and to the point - providing clear information in a way that doesnt beat around the bush.I would recommend this animal clinic to anyone i meet who wants quality animal care. 10/10Thank you and your amazing staff!

Dr. Slaughter and the staff at Cottage Hill Animal Clinic have cared for my pets for 25+ years. Across those years, there have been many pets, and many visits to the clinic, and all of my experiences with Dr. Slaughter, and with his staff has been extraordinary. I have an American Bull Dog/Boxer and a Mastiff/Boxer, both about 5 years old. Their health is excellent thanks to the personalized care and advice I have received. From surgeries to grooming, to general health care, Dr. Slaughter has always been the right Veterinarian with the right care strategy. Shortly after I rescued these fella's, skin allergies, sneezing and scratching symptoms were not being solved by medicated baths, and Dr. Slaughter recommended a change in food. I was focused on high protein foods. He explained why I needed to change their diet, and what changes I should expect. It was the right strategy at the right time. All of the changes he forecast happened just as he explained them. Great, practical care. Great advice, and a staff that knows my dogs as well as they know their own. I strongly recommend Cottage Hill Animal Clinic.

Dr. Slaughter has not only befriended Charley, but he has taken on the family! He educates us about how to best love and care for our pet, and makes us always feel right at home when we are on a visit. His Staff are amazing and serve as a wonderful Nursing staff. The ladies comfort us (parents and pooch) when we are nervous. I could not have found a safer, more professional Dr. for Charley. Charley loves him too...

Very helpful friendly staff. Gave puppy care info and sample dog food for my new puppies. Always willing to answer questions called in. They do free nail clipping for previous patients and only charge $10 for non patients. The doctor has had some bad experiences with vaccinations so he likes to break them up, but I think he's just doing it out of best interest for the animals.

dr slaughter recently saved my 5yr old cat from a severe bladder blockage, and is now helping me fix up and raise a surprise rescue kitten. not to mention the rest of his staff are all super awesome!! thank you for everything y'all do!

Dr. Slaughter examined my dog Of 14 years and we were told that her heart is failing and kidney failed. And we made a decision to put her down. This man told us that he is going to weigh her and he will be right back. 5 minutes later he came back and said it was done! How can you kill someone dog without letting family be in the room!! This was done out of pure spite and hate for watever reason! I am broken
