You've got to love this place and these folks! I've been a happy customer for years and years. I've often received excellent advice about repair projects. The big hardware stores' employees need to consult their cell phones merely to direct you to the rest rooms.

This is a good place to find hardware such as nuts and bolts for the kids basketball goal and for chairs. And u don't have to look around the store for help or buy the entire pack of hardware like the other big box stores .The guy that assisted me was very helpfulI made it quick and easy. Nicest people you will ever meet. Everytime I go there I am impressed. The prices are slightly higher on a few things, but it is worth it. They are alot cheaper on some stuff as well. They carry alot of stuff you can't find anywhere else anymore and the customer service is excellent. The guy that cuts the glass is always helpful and eager to help. All around awesome place.

Beekeeping supplies are available through Blankenship's. They have everything you need online. Whatever isn't at the store can be purchased online. Only place in Mobile that I am aware of...

The folks at Blankenship's hardware store are the best! I went in looking for an obscure size of screws and within minutes they had them for me. This is old fashioned service with a smile at a competitive price. Never going to find this kind of customer service in a big box store. Conveniently located in Midtown Mobile so no fighting the traffic of Airport Boulevard!

This is good place to have a copy of a key 🔑 made. However, unfortunately it's not located in the safest area. Recently one morning, I went here to have a key made. After I paid for the service and proceeded to leave and get in my car, I was approached by some strange man in the parking lot who was trying to sell me items that seemed worthless( 1 of items happened to be a keyless remote to a car). Right then I feared for my safety!! I didn't know if he was on drugs or what! Long story short, thank God I was able to get away from him! He looked like he was up to no good. My advice to anyone, especially a woman, is if you go here please be aware of your surroundings.This is why I won't give this place all 5 stars, the service was great, but there are safety concerns. Therefore, I don'tfeel comfortable returning to thisplace of business. This place needs some security guards!! I hope management is reading this review!!

Best hardware store ever. If you have 150 year old house you should shop there .. if you have 100-year-old house you should shop there... if you have a 10 year old house you should shop there.. they do great glass cutting for replacement windows they sell a limited amount of lumber and they also sell concrete.. ask for Mike or Tommy, they own the place, they know where everything is.

Place has an ok selection of spray paints. Could use more flats but not bad. Overall the place has a decent variety of other hardware and pet supplies. Prices are slightly higher than your big competitors, but it's great for a locally owned business. I recommend this place.

The old men in this store are not nice. They are rude and lazy. I live one mile away and will travel to West mobile for all my hardware needs. They lost a lot of money with that entitled better than attitude they have. These guys should know about customer service. Extremely disappointed. Telling everyone in the neighborhood not to shop there

Super friendly, always have what I need for my dogs or cats, plus hardware! Do you need to fix that leaky faucet? They can help you find the right parts. Also, they assist with finding homes for Save a Stray organization. Family owned business...they know their business...they have survived the pandemic. Keep them in mind when you need to shop and Shop Local!😊

Disappointed that I was told by Patrick in the glass shop to "not bring another storm window to him", he advised he was not paid enough. He looked at the broken glass beforehand at the time I brought it in and he advised it was repairable. He gave me no indication there would be a problem. He advised it took him longer than expected.

If it's not here, you won't find it elsewhere. Had keys made, Kitty-kitty-bang-bang gave me a guided tour (had to give a back scratch for payment). They have USA made ironware. Reasonable price. They support adopt astray. Good people, good place.

Great lil shop...one of the last of the "mom and pop" operations...staple of the neighborhood... Affordable prices and wonderful staff... Makes keys...has paint..paint supplies...lighting...pet supplies..etc... A tiny Walmart...(-: Give them your business!!!

Awesome local hardware store that reminds you of days gone by when it was packed go the ceiling with everything from Wild bird and rabbit food to Toilet repair kits. Paint, electrical, you name it and anyone who works there can find ANYTHING blind folded all while helping 2 more customers. Yes nearly everything is a little higher than Walmart or Home Depot or Lowes even but i just like trading with local folks. Even though I do like the big box stores with hundreds of option. I will still shop local on Most of my purchases. Not to mention its conveniently located downtown. 5 stars

This is an outstanding old time family hardware store . I like the people behind the counter, I like they the store is neat clean and well organized and always seems to have what I need . And when they makes keys for me they always use brass or steel blanks and they keys always work .
