As Thrift stores go, this is one of the better ones. They have a good system of putting newer clothes in a color code system so if you are a frequent visitor you don't have to search clothes you have already seen.I wish they had a decent dressing room system and more modern and better kept bathrooms. They should downsize the book space and put dressing rooms there.The store is fairly well kept and doesn't smell like some of the other thrift stores. I do not to hear constant religious music.I've always found the staff to be pleasant.

Used to be a really nice thrift store but it has gotten worse recently. There isn’t decent items for good prices and they don’t hire nice people anymore. It takes forever to find nice things and the environment feels dusty and smells odd. The last time I donated, the worker was trying to figure out what she could keep as she was unloading everything and asking if I had something else that she was looking for. I politely said no and she kept talking even though I was trying to hurry because it was getting really bad that evening. Do not recommend.

ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END...The ATS has been a blessing to my family since it was on Schillingers Rd. I can understand inflation and the slightly higher prices at the Montlimar/Airport location, but the location in Tillmans Corner prices should not have increased. The increased prices is NO LONGER HELPING the local community and those who travel the distance in need the lowest price possible. Every weekend, my GBabies and I shop and leave with bags of needed and wanted items. Today, we left with nothing. I was convinced the significantly used TV tray in the picture was missed priced at $19.99(along with other phenomenally priced items). The cost was actually $19.99!!! $5 or less would have been a decent price for the items. For the new prices the ATS is posting, I have decided to pay their prices and maybe a couple of dollars more for FRESH & BRAND NEW items.Stay Blessed and Highly FavoredGMama

The place was incredibly overpriced and everything was pretty junky. The clothes were lackluster and they look like they've had a third or fourth light before they hit the shelves. The shoes were $30 for a pair of dried up tennis shoes that you could wear one time and they would break. They were so dried out and gross looking. I don't understand where people are getting these prices from. It's affecting thrift stores and everything all over the world pretty much. I don't understand where people get off charging overpriced over everything 345 times more than what they're worth going to price for something that should be worth only five bucks. People have lost their minds. The shoes there it was $30 for a pair of meetup. Toes turned up new balance that were literally disgusting. I didn't understand it. You can get a brand new pair of shoes including a brand new pair of new balance or Nike's or Reebok or any other brand like that for 30 40 bucks. Why would you go and buy a pair of rusty shoes for that price. Everything in there was overpriced with Ashley's. One thing. Where do they get off charging those prices? I have no idea.

Ok ATS... not a very big store, with a limited housewares, books, appliances sections. Very friendly staff, and lots of clothing. Bathroom could use some attention.

I've been going there for over 15 years ever since I was 5 and they've always had a decent selection at low prices (at least for small miscellaneous glasswear anyways) and that for the most part the workers have been nice. However I wholeheartedly agree with somebody else in the reviews that they need to watch out who with some of the people they hire.. I was in there this last Sunday and there was this "flamboyant" guy working the register who seemed like he had a problem with me. I got to the register and asked him how his night was like I normally do with anyone else, yet he doesn't say anything. Though that wasn't the issue. Then he told me how much the two items were and I asked if that was with tax included and he doesn't say anything and he looks at me as if I were stupid. I told him that I had to put back something else and I pointed out the item that I wanted instead. He acted as if he had a problem with it and he can't just take 5 seconds out of his time to help somebody out even though that it's his job. Though he rings up the item and I give him the money and I say thank you and he doesn't say anything I was about to ask for the receipt but I was a little nervous to ask because he seemed to have a problem with everything. Maybe it wasn't me and that he was already having a bad night but he just put off an attitude that makes you feel nervous and didn't really make you feel welcome to be in the store.. idk. Another problem that I have with the store is that their bathrooms don't work when me and my dad went in there that day the bathrooms were out of order. I was there a few days before that though and everything went alright. I had to wait a few minutes because it was a little packed out in there but that was fine with me. There was this guy who was very helpful and helping somebody else when I got to the register and he even asked me how my day was first and I said it was good and he even compliment on me on the hat that I was wearing which was my swamp people hat. I would say that he was very friendly at least and the most of their prices are good. Thank you to whoever it was that was at the cash register that day

If you see something you like ask for the Manager (Cynthia) if she can give you a better price, she will; if she can't at least you've had the opportunity to meet someone who will treat you like she appreciates you visiting and shopping with her store!

Love this place but for the love be a bit more tactical with who you hire. Lady working register 6 around 11am August 26th just sitting there reading a paper with 3 customers waiting to pay. Doing absolutely nothing, said are you open and the cashier just made a weird gesture. Yikes I don't expect top tier customer service at a thrift store but good lord so rude, the cashier that ended up checking us out on another register was fantastic and sweet.

The place is huge so there's lots of selection, but that's the only 'pro.' They are the only place selling clothes I've ever seen with NO TRY-ON ROOMS. I was told they had one but shut it down because somebody urinated in it, once, so for one person being a jerk, nobody can purchase clothes knowing if they will fit or not. The ladies bathroom was also out of order on our visit. In MANY cases, the price tag cited a totally different size than what the garment's own tag said (it's like they don't even try to get it right). As for prices, you might find a few acceptably-priced items, but most are pushing the limit of fair value for used items, and some are just mind-boggling. Exhibit A: A used bra with two big holes in it, sweat stains on the interior liner (GROSS!): $5.00!!! And no, it isn't a high-end fashion brand; it's Fruit of the Loom, probably came in a multipack for less than $5 apiece, NEW. I saw lots of other stained and damaged clothes too. We won't be driving across town to return to this place, even to return the shirt that didn't fit.

Pros: It's clean and organized, the layout is much better then the previous store layout. The store managers seem to have good rapport with employees. Cons: Pricing is not consistent with their pricing structure, have noticed identical items in like condition, that has a price gap. Also, the shopping experience is not as efficient because they no longer display the color signs for the weekly discounts, which trickles into a lot of issues for the customer and employees. Also, they typically don't have the checkout support needed at the registers to maintain social distance, and a reasonable checkout time frame.

This thrift store sells every item that’s actually worth anything, online. They don’t put any good garments out. They have cheap prices but you won’t find anything worth your time. This thrift corporation resells for obsurd amounts online. They sell anything from name brand Nike bales and vintage shirts for 500!!!!!!’ They are all about making money and not about their people

They have a large selection of clothes, not too much furniture but they have some. They have mattresses that are new, and good priced. The have new items as well here, like shoes and socks. Sometimes the cashiers do not know what they have, so it's best to ask a manager if you can not find what you're looking for. The prices are not bad on clothes either and they're not all torn up. Purses, shoes, mattresses, socks, toys furniture, and home goods can be found here.

I saw a clock I had donated in the store, except now it was damaged. A lot of things in the store are damaged, and I think now I know why. I don't think I'll be donating here anymore.

They've got some pretty decent stuff at good prices and the staff are friendly. I've found good deals on a variety of stuff you wouldn't normally see in most stores. Check them out, you won't leave empty handed.

Only Reason why I’m giving this a three star, two employees: one was Victoria Lindsey and another young man. Both we’re super nice and did their job perfectly. Very friendly and capable of helping us check out or with any other questions we had..The managers that were on duty were HORRIBLE!!! Me and my husband were at a check out line. That had a light on. We stood there like 5mins. (Unloading our items. When both the managers seen us walked to the check out line. kept their backs to us and did not speck to either one of us!!!! The walked off as if no one was standing there!!!! These managers need to be checked on. When I confronted the two managers. Both informed me: one in an angel costume -said she was only had her light on to check prices for customers. But did not even acknowledge me. Not very professional. The other in a red shirt got on a register and we were being check out. I also asked her if she noticed us. She also stated she did not see us.. lies!! I work customer service. These two have been he worst!!!Thank you, to the two young people that helped us! You will be the Reason why I return. Because I almost walked out with all my items left on the counter..

I find many good quality things here at great prices. Bring your patience because you have to search. However the merchandise is displayed on racks and sizes are easy to find. Helps a tight budget.

Really good selection of plus size skirts, I was pleasantly surprised with how many there were. The store is clean and well organized which made my shopping trip quick and easy. The store has several discount days for seniors, military, and students; they also discount different color tags on different days. They don't have any fitting rooms, so you'll want to have a good eye for if clothing will fit you or not. I'll definitely be back!

I have shopped here for years, and have pretty good luck finding collectibles, clothes and housewares. They have high prices on clothes for a thrift store, but successful shopping trips are worth a lot to me. A significant concern is that they sell electronics that they are certain don't work and won't allow returns. A cashier told me, after I had to carry a radio all the way from the back of the store to find a plug that they refuse to provide in the actual area where they sell the plug in items, only to discover that it didn't work (for 20 dollars) and that she was upset once that her boss made her take a broken item to the shelf that would be sold, broken and unreturnable. This is not OK, and reflects terribly on a church based business. Dare I say it? Shame on them. Putting "as is" on the price sticker may legally cover them, but, hmm, what would Jesus do?Edit: it is worth noting that the power strip outlets that were already present, but previously disconnected, are now powered up and usable. Thanks to the management!

I really enjoy shopping here. It seems like there are acres of interesting things and the selection is usually very diverse. I have found great deals on items from books to baby clothes (still new), glassware, art, and shoes. The clothing selections fill what seems like acres in the center of the store, and there are great buys in housewares and odds and ends. My favorite purchase was a huge stack of printer letterhead papers. You never know what you will find.

America Thrift is a clean store and it is a nice place to browse and shop. I must admit prices are getting higher everywhere. If you look for a bargain you will find one. If the price is right, buy it. We've found some good bargains at America Thift.We especially like the 30% to 40% off coupons offered online. Most of the employess are cordial and friendly and store hours are good. The parking lot can use more lightning but I've not heard of any problems. A security guard is always on duty.

Store is well organized. I love that I can shop for clothes by size instead of having check the tags of every. Single. Item.I had to wait in line to check out for about 15 minutes today. It appeared that there was only one employee in the store - the cashier. The cashier said the phone was broken, so she couldn't call the back for assistance.

I think the staff is awesome. I love to go shopping for music there and movies. Haley rules...I gave her a handkerchief when her sinuses were acting up. I love to make that part of my weekly spending ritual to go store to store buying stuff...the staff is better than most places are...the atmosphere, well it is typical Alabama so what can you really say...

Everything is really cheap with decent prices. Employees are rude and the store could be cleaner and more organized. They only give you store credit if you take back an item with a receipt and tags but then they forget to give you the receipt and won't let you return it. But I like it here because there's unique items that are used but 1/4 the price here than anywhere else and donating anything here is really simple.
