BJ's is finally here, and it was super crowded on opening day. But not too crowded to not go into the store. BJ's has amazing gas prices. In addition to the gas prices, they offer coupons. The staff in the store was friendly, and they had adequate staffing in each section. BJ's has everything, and they are hands down my favorite big box store! It was so busy that I could not get enough pictures to share and shop, but here are the pictures I was able to take. This was not my first experience with BJ's, so I knew what to expect, but it was great to watch people new to the brand experience the store for the first time.

Prices ok. The staff was very plentiful. Probably saw more staff than customers. Selections are ok too. No hot fresh made pizza like Sam's and Costco. Hot dogs and popcorn. Wish that offering was more.

It is nothing else that a copy of Sam's Club or Costco.Certain items more expensive of other places...but some others less..same qualities items.I was wondering the origin of few meats items as well...It mentions the origin of the product but not the real source of it. Positive note...each product is priced in their display...Friendly employers no waiting time at the register.

Great addition to Madison. It was crowded for opening day, but line kept on moving fast. Prices are reasonable but slightly higher than other clubs in area.0124 - no change, different bargains.

Great addition to the Madison/West Huntsville area. Comparable to Sam’s Club but with a smaller feel. They carry bulk products and some private label brands like Berkeley Jenson and Wellsley Farms (comparable to Member’s Mark and Kirkland Signature. Staff was friendly and helpful, and they have a great app for coupons and a scan and go feature. Because of the smaller format, some areas of the store can feel tight to navigate. The music was also super loud when I visited - like loud enough that you had to speak over it for people to you hear you. They have a fuel center, tire center, and spirits store, all of which are nice touches.

Clean and well organized. House brands are a good purchase. They don't always have the large rolls of Fresh Pet, and can't tell you when more will arrive. Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Have been several times now and have been most pleased with every visit. They have just about anything you could find at a Costco or Sam's and the location in Madison is so much closer to home this is my go to store now. Spend more than $150 in store get 50cents off a gallon at the gas pump that day. How awesome is that, and head back to the deli section and get a pound of London Broil Roast Beef. Trust me it's good!

Fantastic addition to Madison! Went on the evening of opening day and though it was crowded due to the hype, it wasn't terrible. Went a few days later and it was much better. The staff is very friendly and the convenience of the scan & go in the app is superb - no standing in lines to check out & I can see my total as I am shopping! As with every store & wholesale club, some prices are better than others and some aren't as great of a deal, but for the convenience of this location compared to Sam's and Costco for me, it's a place I plan to frequent often!

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Madison, AL is awesome! The location is great for folks in Madison/East Limestone. The gas is very cheap. BJ’s allows you to Scan & Go up to 20 items, which is convenient. They seem to be similar to Sam’s Club inside. I would still say that Costco is superior as far as Wholesale Clubs are concerned. But you can’t beat the location in Madison for convenience!

Prices are not any better than Sams or Costco and sometimes higher. Every time we buy fruit there, we find mold in the packages. We took some moldy fruit back tonight and had to wait 15 minutes for help while 1 customer was waited on and 2 other employees stood around. When a manager came to assist the one employee make a correction, the employee asked the manager if she could help me and the manager said, "She can wait a few more minutes". Excuse me, I will be happy to take my money elsewhere and will not renew this membership. Pitiful.

Not impressed, they don’t honor the sales prices they have posted even when a photo is provided showing the sales price. Not many people shopping here and now I see why. The only redemption is the free range chicken at a decent price

Their app sucks. After signing in, I go to clip coupons and it asks me to sign in again. Then it says it recognized my account but asks me to sign in again. Constantly does this, then it says you've logged in too many times and are now locked out. So it never allows me to clip coupons.

Great alternative to Costco or Sam's. Great for people who don't live close to those.You won't drive the extra distance if bjs is closer. The offerings have been that similar. And the quality on par as well.Highly recommend

Exceeded my expectations! Only BJ's from now on! Def won't be renewing my Costco membership. Went for the first time today to BJ's, got gas and groceries. Used clipped coupons in the app, and they were all applied properly at checkout, quick & easy. Used the rewards from my membership purchase today. That and my coupons saved me $78. All the employees were so helpful, friendly, and seemed to be well trained.Wasn't sure what to expect as far as product variety but I was pleasantly surprised with their selection. I normally try not to deviate from my shopping list often - but I did today - after finding spanakopita bites, spring rolls, and quinoa veggie burgers.About 1/10 of the crowd size at Costco! So much less stress shopping at BJ's, and it should be noted that large crowds don't usually cause me any stress. Most of the ppl who live in in Huntsville & Madison are very friendly and courteous. But the crowds are so bad at Costco in Huntsville every day (not just holiday ahoppers), that it brings out the worst in people, with shoppers runnning into you with their cart sometimes and cutting you off when it was your turn to go. It's not like that at BJ's at all.To sum it up, I couldn't be happier with the gas prices, selection and prices inside the store, ease of using clipped coupons. All items rang up at the correct price and coupons applied correctly. No issues at all. Employees are friendly and helpful. Even the shoppers. And unlike Costco, BJ's accepts MasterCard. I get $ back when I use my MC, so this is a big help too. I'm going to read up on Express Checkout so I'll be informed and ready in case I want to start using it in the store from now on.

We shopped at BJ's when we lived in New Jersey, and welcomed the first store in this state! The staff were friendly and were always available when we needed someone. Checkout was seamless and an all around pleasant shopping experience.

Great place to shop. About 10 miles closer to me than Sam's or Costco with deals just as good, AND you can use manufacturers' coupons on top of store coupons!

Where do I start. There were no ribeyes in stock which is crazy. There was extremely loud rap music playing that could be heard throughout the store at 8pm. I saw several items that were the same price or more expensive than other stores that don’t require a membership. BJ’s is kind of a dump and I won’t be renewing my membership.

This is my second review. Had a couple of problems. Went back a second time this time a store manager Galvin and a supervisor Natasha came to the rescue. Straighten everything out satisfying my problem. In fact I was extremely satisfied I purchased a new 70 in. TV. They also helped me put it in my car and tied it down. Thank you Galvin and Natasha. Went to BJ's in Madison, AL tonight (11-21-23). Got in line to join. There were 4 employees behind the counter helping people. Unfortunately, we got the mean one. She was a younger (than the other employees) black woman with long nails and long eyelashes. I didn't catch her name. What did she do specifically? ....she was just mean. She made us feel very unwelcome. She was very impatient with my questions. It didn't stop us from joining, but I hope I never have to speak to her again. Giving 2 stars because she was the first thing I encountered there upon walking in. In regards to the store itself....I liked it. Clean and not closed in. :-)

Fresh new store convenient to those of us in Madison. The items seem to be in smaller portions that work for smaller families if that works for you. Great selection of items and not as busy at this point compared to the competition.

I'm in town from Boston visiting my daughter and have tried "Sam's Club" and "Costco" in the past, I like BJ'S out of all 3 and usually shop over the border in New Hampshire (no sales tax). I'm glad BJ'S is finally in the area, I got my daughter a card off my account 3 years ago and now she can finally use it

They had to scan everything in the cart and my fruit didn’t have a barcode so they held me up for a few minutes. Prices are higher than Sam’s on multiple items. Bought a take and bake pizza and it smelled so bad when I got it home I had to ditch it. I dunno. Wished I would’ve skipped the hype and stuck to Costco and Sam’s. So far I’m so not impressed. Honestly the prices here are higher.

So far, using the shopping app has been disappointing. It wouldn't allow usage of mailed coupons, or a view of total spent at final checkout. I also (still) haven't received an online receipt from yesterday mornings purchases, so, I have no proof to show, if I need to return something. Member services doesn't answer the phone, and I don't see anywhere to communicate with someone on the app, about these issues. Unfortunately, I'll have to make a special trip to talk with someone about this problem.

The store was not very busy but no one was working in the deli for about 30 minutes, saw many people walk away. The self check out is buggy and annoying.

I’m so disappointed in my experience here. After going to customer service to correct a wrong price, it took 40 minutes and 4 associates to figure it out. Believe me, it wasn’t difficult…buy one toy & get one 50% off.I’m refunding my membership. It’s not worth it.
