This place has some better thrift store items price right for me. The best part is that they have a cat room with adoptable cats. I will be back, next time with a truck.

Every once in a while you can find an ok deal. Prices have went up greatly since just a few years back though. Place is very small and gets pretty crowded pretty fast on the weekend. Also, if you have a cat allergy do NOT even enter the store. I first thought it was just a thrift store not knowing they keep live animals in there as well. My kid with a cat allergy walked in and immediately had a flare up and had to leave so just a heads up!

This store has such a great purpose…it is a 501c3 nonprofit, and all proceeds go towards rescuing animals from the shelters!Amazing donations and prices!! So many things are brand new with tags!Check out the kitty room too!! You can go in and play with adoptable cats and kittens anytime the store is open!!

I hate leaving this review for a charitable organization , but I find it necessary as the thrift store does not give a phone number or email by which to contact them with. I was just in the madison location with my children. We had come to look for a bicycle for my daughter, as we often go there. After seeing there was no bicycle, my youngest ones asked to visit the toy room. We walked in there together. The room was trashed. I told the kids they could look for one minute, but that the room was a disaster (another child was running in and out of the room) and I didn’t want people to think they had done it. I looked at the necklaces by the door for about 2 minutes as they looked, then I had them follow me To go and look for a couple of new tops for my oldest. A few minutes later an employee came up and directly addressed my two young children (who were at my side not touching a thing) scolding them openly in the store and making it very aggressive towards me that they had “trashed the room”. She started questioning them and became more and more rude. I explained to her the situation and what it looked like upon our arrival 5 minutes previous. She was incredibly rude and aggressive. I cannot imagine in what world it would be ok to approach children on the manner in front of a parent who was clearly guarding them. If my children had made the mess, I would have been the first to make them pick it up. I understand they must have daily frustrations with parents not watching their children, but this had not been our situation. I did not appreciate being treated in that way. I frequent this store and have donated multiple times. On this day an age, you cannot be that way. It scared me. We will not be back. There is a right way and a wrong way to deal with customers, and especially with small children who had no idea what was going on. It scared them and I had to answer many questions in the car about rudeness. She crossed a major line. I will no longer be recommending this store as I have many times in the past.

The “lady” who was working the register and rang my items up was extremely rude. Her unnecessary comments and overall attitude were despicable and unwarranted.I approached her with a smile, greeted her, and offered to go back to where I found my item and recheck the price for her, only for her to accuse me of placing the item in that area in order to claim a lower price. I felt attacked, insulted, and belittled. I will not return solely because of her.

I really like this thrift store and I'm not one to enjoy thrift stores. Everything is clean and displayed attractively. Last time I was in there I found a fine china Christmas plate I loved and searched where to buy more on line. I also purchased a beautiful etched crystal tray. If I lived in Madison I would be a frequent visitor. As it is, I include it on my agenda when I'm in the area. I also appreciate very much their purpose to home animals that need care and love and am happy to offer my donations.

Got the cutest best kitten! His name is Link. Just warning, the fosters smoke cigs around their cats. It’s heartbreaking. My kitten stunk of cig smoke when I got him. My last cat passed from lung cancer. If it happens again I’ll fall apart. Stop smoking cigs around your animals!! Save them please :( I’m glad i saved him from the smoke

Great selection of treasures for a great cause! It's so much larger than it appears from the street. I can't believe it's taken me so long to check it out, this is my go to place now (I even adopted my furbaby from A New Leash on Life (ANLOL) two years ago and today was the first time inside the store!). It was VERY clean, organized, well staged and the staff was so friendly.

I love shopping there! Most everyone is very nice and helpful! One of the things I don't like is not being able to use a buggy to shop but it is not very roomy in there so I understand that it would be pretty hard for people to try and maneuver a buggy around! I really like how strict they are on people wearing a mask during this pandemic! They have a really good selection of items, they pretty much have anything & everything you want & need!! Their prices are great!!!!

Awesome thrift shop!! Great prices! Loved the antique cabinet and beautiful rug I found here. Staff is super friendly. Love that the money from my purchases help the rescued animals in their program with medical costs.

Great prices but slightly messy (especially the luggage/activewear room) and parking and getting in and out can be dicy sometimes since its on such a busy road. Overall a good thrift store and definitely worth a visit!

The Madison A New Leash on Life Thrift Store and Boutique totally lives up to its "Boutique" name. You can find fabulous things at incredible prices. They have a bit of everything!The volunteers are dedicated to having the most inviting, welcoming store; while raising money to rescue and rehabilitate all kinds of animals. I've seen dogs, cats (they now have a fun cat house), bunnies, guinea pigs - in the store for you to meet. This really is the best thrift store in Madison, AL!

Shopping there helps me save money & helps save the lives of animals in the Tennessee Valley! You must check out the store on Slaughter Rd. I’ve even donated after cleaning out my closets myself.

A New Leash on Life is an absolute must for any bargain hunter and /or animal lover.N. L. L. always has clean items in great condition. I have purchased several items that were brand new. The staffis always friendly and eager to help.** New Leash on Life is currently building a NO KILL animal shelter next to the thrift store. **If you are a plumber, electrician, or have any skills that can assist with the building of the shelter, I suspect they could use the help. New Leash on Life is a great store that supports a worthy cause.
