My dog prince is a lab and Shepard mix , he had major food aggression and protective issues when he was a puppy, after his time with South Coast Canine both of our lives changed. He was trained/ socialized very well with his reactions and working activities IE: walking heel, sit, place, and recall commands. They helped correct me with my own problems handling him and made an extreme effort to accommodate my circumstances .Now with a controlled life and proper techniques we both are able to enjoy time outside and daily life together. He still continues to stay with them for boarding and check ins.

I can not recommend Lexus & her team enough!!! We adopted a puppy from the shelter, who had very hyper tendencies and was not a good listener at first. We sent him to the board & train program at South Coast Canine. South Coast Canine took our puppy in like family and turned him into the goodest boy ever! The training is one of a kind, great staff, and down to earth people. They truly care about each of their animals and their families. We are so thankful 🙏🏽

We sent our beloved puppy to South Coast Canine at the recommendation of our vet. Was she ever in target! Our Sandy came home a happy and well behaved girl. Sandy did revisit recently for 2 weeks. We can walk anywhere together! She loves my friends but behaves when they come. The most important realization I have is Sandy got training and love. Whenever Lexus has left Sandy sits by the door hoping she will return. How fortunate are we!

Lexus and her team have been so great to work with. We got a 4 month old puppy and needed some help on obedience training for us and our new puppy. Lexus has been so accommodating and our experience has been great! We have been able to learn so much from her and our puppy has been excelling under Lexus. I can’t say enough good things about South Coast Canine! Whether boarding or training, our four legged family member always comes home clean and more well behaved than before. Lexus and her staff trained my 4 month old cockapoo in their board and train program. Ellie came home as a well behaved and highly trained 5 month old. She learned all her commands. Lexus followed up with home visits in which we were instructed in all that Ellie learned and how to continue on with the good manners. I must say she is a perfect pooch.

Update:Our experience with Lexus and her staff at South Coast Canine continues to be outstanding! She is always there if new issues come up. Also, we are so thankful Captain has a safe place to board with people who understand his quirks and provide the best care for him!!!We are so pleased with the results of having South Coast Canine train our 3 year old Vizsla! Overall, he seems much calmer and is obedient with the new commands he learned. We no longer have issues with aggressiveness with his food bowl. Going for walks is pleasurable because he calmly walks beside me instead of pulling me everywhere. Thankful to have found Lexus and the training she provided to our dog during his 4 week stay as well as the training, knowledge, and support for my husband and I when we picked him up!

Lexus trained Petra as a puppy and not only did Petra come back with great manners, but she absolutely adored visiting Lexus. I'd absolutely recommend Lexus for any other dog owners looking for obedience or behavior modification. My three year old German Shepard Kylo just got back from a three week board/ train and I highly recommend Lexus and her staff! Kylo was wild and has eaten through his fair share of kennels. Now, he goes to his “place” and sleeps through the night in his kennel. It’s given me complete piece of mind. I also could not walk him because he was so strong willed. We now go on two-three walks a day and it’s become so enjoyable! Kylo now gets to live his best doggy life! My only regret is that I didn’t do this sooner! Worth every penny!

So when we got a Dane we didn’t know what to do but knew a dog that big he needed proper training. We searched for days to find the best place to get our Dude trained. Then we found Lexus and she not only trained him to perfection she also treated him like her own. Dude(the Dane) is always so excited to visit Lexus. She also only boards for a very cheap price the animals she trains personally. Every time Dude is there I am never worried, and I know she will love him just like we do! Lexus and her South Coast Canine are truly a gift and when you have her train your dog it will be a night and day difference and when you board you get little small refresher courses when they stay! I couldn’t imagine a better place to train our dog then South Coast Canine!

Lexus and her team worked with our dog, Ted, through his reactive behavior and fear (which previously resulted in growling/barking at new visitors), to be more confident at home and feel secure in his “place”. After one cookout with family, we knew his training had been successful. Above and beyond, we are able to crate him again and enjoy walks (versus being pulled along). Ted was happy to see Lexus when she came by for a training visit, and we know he was well cared for on top of his training! We are so thankful to Lexus and her team!

To put it simply: Lexus gave me my life back. Her incredible expertise, knowledge, compassion and skill turned my anxious, reactive and disobedient puppy into the most well behaved, obedient and confident dog! My puppy lacked basic obedience, crate training, and had awful separation anxiety before Lexus worked her magic. It was like night and day with my puppy! I continued to refer to Lexus’ wonderful training, knowledge and skills when it came time to take my dog’s training and confidence to the next level. I became in need of a psychiatric service dog, and Lexus was the only one I even considered for the job! She helped my dog pass his Canine Good Citizen test as well as desensitize him and build his confidence in public to pass public access tests needed for service dogs. She also helped me become a more confident dog handler. Because of Lexus’ hard work and compassion, my puppy became a working dog that has allowed me to live life again to the fullest extent with security, safety, and confidence. On top of all her knowledge, Lexus is also one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and working with her was a dream! I continue to refer to her for help anytime an issue comes up, and she responds so quickly with all the answers! I cannot thank Lexus enough for her life changing dog training and compassion.

I’ve worked closely with Lexus in the protection. Sports world as well as just basic obedience. I trust her opinion and knowledge and often look to her for advice in my own training with my dogs. Lexus was amazing to work with. She helped us with behavioral training with our hound mix, Chloe, who loves people but isn't too friendly with dogs. After working with Lexus we learned how to keep Chloe cajon in high stress situations and under control around other dogs. With her help we've even been able to introduce a new puppy to the family who is now her best friend. Lexus helped us greatly improve Chloe's quality of life.

My goldendoodle had issues with jumping up on people in excitement, poor recall and pulling the leash on walks when I brought her to Lexus. At home she was perfect and a joy but we wanted to be able to take her everywhere with us and have her well behaved in public. While I was hopeful for good outcomes from training I must admit I was concerned what could actually be accomplished in just 3 weeks. And also if whether I would be able to continue when my girl was home so she would retain what she learned. Her training exceeded my expectation! The training for us with Lexus in our go home session was so clear and broken down so well it has been easy to continue at home. My girl has only been home a short while and at first when I gave her a command she looked at me like I was talking Greek! Seem to be playing dumb or testing me. But after a few times we were on the same track and it has been fabulous. Lexus has been a joy to work with and very responsive to my questions since bringing my girl home. I highly recommend her.

We are so glad we found South Coast Canine! Our puppy Curtis was absolutely awful before he was trained by Lexus. He is a sweet boy, but had major behavior issues. We could not take him out in public due to his leash pulling, hyper- ness, and uncontrollable behavior. When family or guests came over, we had to cage him. We had to walk him at night to avoid seeing people because he would go crazy on his leash. After staying with Lexus for 3 weeks Curtis came back a new dog! He is still the same happy dog, just well behaved. We now take him everywhere: restaurants, stores, crowds, events, people’s houses etc. and he does wonderful. We can have him out around guests in the house and he does great and is well behaved and controllable. His house training has also improved drastically and he hasn’t had a single accident since he went through training with Lexus. Overall we would highly recommend South Coast Canine and Lexus as a trainer!

Lexus takes so much pride and care with our dog. He likes being with her as much as us, which is very calming to know. In addition, she only boards dogs she has trained so he gets mini lessons for those of us who FAIL our "human" part of the training. Great investment as an owner and for our dog.

Highly recommend! Lex is a fantastic trainer. Sent our 4 year-old rescue dog for 3 weeks of behavior training. She was already very calm but adding the obedience element was amazing. Her leash, door, and place manners are outstanding. Oakley is treated like family every time we board there. She's genuinely excited when we arrive and thats saying something of our momma's girl. We could not be more pleased and have just sent our new rescue baby to Lex this week for his training.

Lexus IS an awesome person and trainer!!! She trained our hard headed Great Dane Nola. She also helped us out while we were selling our house by boarding and refresh training for Nola!!!! Lexus is very responsive to questions and even trains the humans on how to keep your dog acting right. Even after Nola’s training was complete, Lexus took our follow on questions when we had them. Highly recommend her and her training program!!!

This is incredible! That's all I've been saying this week. Lexus took in our aggressive pitbull as a last hope and truly saved her life. Hannah was labeled a danger to society, she had attacked 2 people and another dog, she was put in quarantine and also had to be tasered by the police. That is not the same dog that returned home from her intensive months of training. She graduated a few days before Thanksgiving and I am proud to say she passed every obstacle during the holiday. All the doors were open, the smell of the food cooking, cars and unfamiliar people pulling up in the driveway and walking in the open door, kids and other dog's running around everywhere and this dog didn't move! She sat and calmly watched all that was going on and she has proven without doubt that Lexus and everyone at South Coast Canine who helped with her training are the best of the best at what they do!
