Overall good. Was able to park truck and go in and grocery shop, so I was really happy about that. The only downside was that the checkout flagged something and the 'not-a-cashier' ( my phrase) had no clue what got flagged. Only that age had to be verified. She didn't even tell me what she was doing. I was fixing to pay and she just jumped right in my way with no warning or explanation. Kinda ticked me off.

Yesterday, my wife and I visited the Jackson, Alabama Walmart store it is a location that is about 30 miles away from our house, making it a less frequent shopping destination for me. However, I did notice a few unique items that this Walmart carries, like lactose-free half-and-half, which I have struggled to find at our local Walmart in Thomasville. This particular item is essential for my cream dishes, so it was a pleasant surprise to have access to it at this store.During my visit, I observed that the shelves seemed to be quite picked over, especially since we were there close to 5 o’clock in the afternoon. This is understandable considering the volume of people shopping at that time. What stood out to me the most was the different atmosphere at this Walmart compared to our local store in Thomasville. Both the customers and the employees appeared happier and more engaged, creating a more positive shopping experience.While I wouldn't necessarily say that this Walmart is superior to our local one, it definitely had a different vibe that I appreciated. Ultimately, Walmart is known for its consistency, and this store lived up to that standard. Despite the smaller size of the store leading to limited selections, it was still a decent place to shop with a welcoming environment.

Wish the people held to the standards of Mr Sam. I was lucky enough to meet him as a teenager. Standers have fallen so bad. And if we are using self checkout we should receive some kind of discount!

Things that are allowed nowadays! These dogs are not service dogs and were huge and stunk. They rubbed up against aluminum baking pans on that center aisle between the grocery and baby departments. This has to be a health code violation.?

This Walmart serves an extended geographical area and stats well stocked. It needs a good cleaning. Really appreciate the order pickup staff, but the gals in the deli are very rude.

The store is clean and the isles are always organized. Check out is easy breezy, I've never had to wait in line for more than a minute or two. What makes this store outstanding is the manager who took the initiative to call me personally to find out what she could do to improve the rating that I had given on Walmarts web portal. I gave a three star on product availability specifically a certain brand cat food that is a must for my cat but was rarely available. Long story short the cat food isle has been completely awesome and well stocked since then. Kudos to the manager who went above and beyond following through with her word. You've gained my respect and appreciation.

What's the point in having workers there if you have to do it all yourself? Shop, check out, bag, pay etc.. then when you go to walk out they want to check your receipt and your buggy like you stole something... Which might I add is against company policy.. they get a paycheck every week for what??? We do their jobs for them.

Didn’t even a bakery so I could give my wife a birthday cake so went to to find movies to fill in our cakeless evening and then get there and walmaart can’t even afford movies to sell🙄😤 Rude customer service

We’re from Foley and super impressed with the cleanliness of the store. Great experience. *They are currently paving the parking lot so be advised of cones.

Walmart grocery pickup is awesome!!! This is the best service! It is a huge time-saver. The employees are super friendly and fast. I've used this service multiple times with only 1 slight issue, and they offered to make it right. I'm always pleased with any substitutions. I would definitely recommend this service!

The drive I make to shop at this particular Walmart have always been worth the trip. The staff has always been friendly and helpful and to many other shoppers in the store as well. Even with the crisis of many items unavailable they work extra hard to re-stock their shelves. The cashier's have treated me with respect and friendliness. When very crowded CK.out lines are long but moving to accommodate the shopper.

For being a small Walmart, they usually have a decent selection. It is limited to what will sell well to the local population, so don't expect anything "exotic." I rarely shop during busy times - on purpose - so I don't run into long lines at the checkout that much. They usually only have 2 or 3 cashiers working. There is a big improvement lately with the addition of several self-check lines. A lot of these are the larger volume lines, too, with a small conveyor belt. One employee monitors several of these. I only go shopping when I have a big list so I'm looking for a regular cashier when I check out. I usually have too much in my buggy for the self-serve line. You can usually get a pretty good parking place here, too - even during the holidays. I give them a 4 because they do a decent job with what they have to work with. The area is just not that big to support much else. It's a good, basic, small-town department store.

The Walmart in Jackson was very nicely laid out and clean.. the self check out was not busy at all; however, I was just there that day to visit the eye/ vision center, as Monroeville does not have one..Donna assisted me in getting a set of reading and sunglasses.. she was very knowledgeable and helpful, and made sure that I knew what kind of product I was ordering, prior to completing my purchase..I am sure to return to the Jackson Walmart in a week, after the glasses arrive, and I will be sure to shop the store at that time..6.9.23- very clean and well stocked too.. parking was easy, and ample check out attendants and all self check outs open..9.1.23- still as bright and clean as always; an associates were checking receipts before people left to insure that noone was being double taxed..

Their selection is okay. If you intend to get in and get out quickly don't count on it. Half the time the quickest option is to check yourself out through self checkout because you're lucky if they have two registers open with actual cashiers. The registers that are open are always crowded to include the speedy checkout for 20 items or less. If they run out of something in stock they rarely get it back in. It is easy to say that it is the worst Walmart I have ever shopped at, and I get excited about going to Walmart in other places because the options and service is so much better. If you intend on using the restroom go to the one in the back because the one up front is rarely decent. If you are picking up or wanting to have prints of photos done be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes for someone to locate the employee for that department if you can locate an employee to locate the photo employee at all. If you need an electronic that is locked up you'll wait just as long. This is one of the only two grocery stores in the town (my hometown) and it is basically the only option. You have one other place to go and even though this place is the best priced that is all they have going for them. It is inconvenient and dreadful. If you are going to Mobile you are better off shopping there. I has been here most of my life, and though the options as far as choices have gotten somewhat better anything would be an improvement.

Since Covid hit and it became available in our tiny town, I have been using the Grocery Pick-up service. The folks they have working back there are phenomenal! I have yet to have a bad experience. What I order is always there unless, it is out of stock in which case they find a suitable substitution. My produce is always fresh, like I would have picked for myself. My cold stuff is cold. My eggs and bread are given extra care to not be damaged. Thank you so much for making this service available and staffing it with the very best!

To be the only major shopping center in town the customer service needs to improve. Ride workers is what you'll find every day. A couple are sweet but mostly they are rude. The prices and merchandise is what you'd expect I just wish the staff would be. A little more polite and helpful.

Not enough registers open, service desk attendant very unprofessional talking to everyone that came through the door. She was more focused on her conversation with those people then doing her job. This has gotten really really bad. The store manager should surly be able to see this right??

It's nice having a store with groceries and household essentials, tools, entertainment items, etc but the selection has gone down. The local Walmart has stopped carrying many brands and seems to be carrying more of their own Great Value brand. Sometimes I want the certain brand item. The selection in this Walmart is really just not as good now. Thomasville Walmart is much better.
