Well, at first, this place was the bomb, but here lately, not so much at all… it’s like they stopped caring and expect their customers not to notice…. I’m genuinely disappointed especially considering that I go there every single day and have already given them so much money but it has just gotten crappier and crappier every day… I go there every single day and buy the most expensive blizzard (which $9 for a cup of ice cream is truly insane anyways) and it used to be worth it, but not anymore… they aren’t even putting the ‘fluff’ in my FlufferNutter anymore, haven’t been for days now, and that’s my favorite thing about said FlufferNutter, the marshmallow… and when I pay extra for whipped cream on top, I would really like more that just a tiny quarter sized dollop on top, that’s not fun…. You guys gotta step it up again or imma just take my $10 a day down to Morgan road…

I highly recommend this Dairy Queen to anyone in the Hueytown area. The customer service is amazing. The quality of food is even better and say you don't know what you want in their ice cream flavors. Well, they can give you very good suggestions! Based off of what you're looking for they really, really want to help you get exactly what you want! Go and check it out. You'll see what I mean.

Dairy queen is awesome as always when it comes to ice cream. Not a huge fan of the lunch menu. Avoid the mini size it's for the kiddos pay the extra 80cents or so! Ice cream cakes are off the chain!

I don't get the peanut butter parfait there anymore. My absolute favorite. It is always pitiful looking now. BUT! Their ice cream cones and blizzards are out of this world! Me and the kids love them. And if you get the banana split... Tell them you want it to look like the picture. They do it perfect everytime if you ask for it that way... otherwise.. well... it's kinda sad too lolll

If you're going to go, just do your order in person or through the drive-thru. The app process has become a joke for indoor pickup. Even drive through pickup is becoming a mess. Twice in one month I went and was in the Drive-Thru so long I opted to go in to pick up my order which they then claimed they could not find resulting in another 15 to 30 minute wait. The screen had my order. They showed me the screen had my order. Yet somehow between the nearly 10 of them in the restaurant, it took almost the entire staff to figure out where my orders were. It's not rocket science, it's Dairy Queen. The food quality is excellent... When you finally receive it. Service could use work. I offer my thanks to the few employees who actually tried to help me before I could become so fed up that I had to ask for a refund and finally received my food. It would have been a one-star review if it wasn't for the two employees who actually gave a care enough to help. This place used to be a favorite but between this and receiving food poisoning 2 months ago following a visit I am beginning to think of looking for another DQ because clearly Hueytown is dropping in some of their quality.Parking: The parking lot is spacious but if you go at a busy time it's a complete joke to get into it.

A friend and I visited this place today because she had taste for ice cream. While there we decided to have lunch as well. The young lady who took the order was totally not paying attention. My friend ordered a #2 triple burger, and fries. I ordered a 3pc chicken strip with onion rings that included a Sundae. The cashier says the ice cream came in chocolate, strawberry, fudge,and vanilla, I chose the chocolate.Our order was a complete disaster:My friend ended up with a #1(a double burger with cheese and lettuce). The order was for #2 (triple burger) with fries. The food was cold and hard.My order was for chicken strips, onion rings, and this included a Sundae, that wss definitely specified chocolate and don't add any toppings due to health issues I can not tolerate.The cashier repeats the order back to me. I says I will get Sundae I finish my meal. I end up with a cup of vanilla ice cream and a bunch of chocolate syrup hard chicken tenders and cold onions.Because I was very clear about chocolate and NO nothing in it or on it. Never did the cashier state to me this is how the Sundae is prepared.I was informed I would have to complain to the owner because to get a refund for the Sundae was impossible because it was included in the meal. The complaint was lodged with the owner, his statements were: the cashier has only been there a year and probably didn't know the only ice cream sold there is vanilla and toppings are added with a flavored syrup.Chocolate, fudge, or strawberry. The meal is discounted to include the Sundae. He gave a .81 refund for the Sundae.I have a problem with businesses making excuses for the errors of the employees. A year and she doesn't have a clue what's on the menu? Informing customers that they can complete an order without listening to the customer because they assume they know what you.Well, since the owner saw there was NO need for two satisfied customers, I have decided this is not the place for me. I am a simple person with a simple taste because of health there are certain foods that I am restricted from eating..

We come here occasionally for the blizzards and the fish sandwich. Both are good. The service is hit or miss. I’ve had great service most of the time but a few times it’s just painful. I know they are short staffed so I’m just patient.

When we went in didn't know if it would be good or not. No customers. Ordered our food. Didn't take long to get it and it was great. Chili dog and cheeseburger were both good and the fries were hot . loved the ice cream sundae was delicious. Will go back.

The overall experience was nice. The location is clean. The service was fast and friendly. The food was good, but it wasn't great. I ordered the grilled chicken salad. The lettuce wasn't very green. It had way too many onions, and there was less chicken than I expected. For just over six bucks, I was expecting more. Overall though, it still tasted pretty good. Next time I'll stick to their ice cream tho. Dairy queen has not once disappointed with their ice cream.

We have been eating here at the Hueytown Dairy Queen for 30+ years and in the last six months Customer service has plummeted. Just last night, March 27, 2022, we came through the drive through. The Manager took our order and filled it. She was laughing and playing with the other employees seemingly uninterested in us. We parked to eat. The order was missing an item so my husband went to the door in which it was locked even though other Customers were inside eating. He knocked on the door and was ignored so he knocked again. The Manager came to the door and yelled, "what do you want?" She was loud and very rude. He explained that we just came through the drive through and an item was missing that we paid for. She gave it to him. My issue is the unprofessional attitude of the Manager and her rudeness to us. Totally unacceptable!

Excellent! Signs were well posted as to where to enter & exit. As well as instructions along the floor to instruct where to stand in line & at the counter to place an order. The person taking our order wore gloves & mask and all other staff wore the same at all times. Also on the counter was a large bottle of hand sanitizer made available to customers.Staff was friendly & efficient from taking our order to placing it in a sack & bringing it to us while we stood in a designated spot.Food was great as usual. We chose to dine in and it's was great to do so once again after so long.I will definitely return in the very near future. Highly deserved 5 STARS!

They have a attitude like they really don't want to be there. I don't visit her much because of that and another thing if u order a sundae and ice cream they're SCARED to give u any but they DON'T MIND CHARGING U FOR IT! HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!! The one in HUEYTOWN. GARDENDALE IS PERFECT!!U get what u pay for!

They’re slightly slower in service than I’d desire, but the food is good. Sometimes the blizzard fixings aren’t stirred all the way to the bottom, so it’s just a literal topping and the rest is just vanilla or chocolate ice cream. It’s conveniently located though!

We waited to ordered quite a bit. Then they said they didn't see us pull up, sorry for the wait. But when we first pulled up they said hold please. It was strange, but they were really busy. Everything we ordered was good though, so worth the wait!
