Today we took our dog to Lisa at Classy Pup for the first time. Previously he has had some grooming anxiety, but Charlie ran right up to Lisa with no issues. He was also napping and very happy when I picked him up. It means a lot to us that he feels comfortable there. Lisa was extremely nice and I was very happy with his haircut. He had not been groomed for some time and I knew it was going to be a big job. You can tell that Lisa and her staff love the dogs they work with. Furthermore, this business is taking every necessary precaution to protect themselves and their clients from covid-19. Their space is very clean and decorated so nicely. We will definitely be coming back on a regular basis!

Lisa is wonderful! She loves what she does and always does a great job with grooming our two dogs. We have a toy Poodle and toy Australian Shepherd. She’s reliable, friendly, responsive, always accommodating making appointments and always takes care of our two dogs. We’d definitely recommend her!

We've been to Lisa at Classy Pup since we first moved to Alabama 5 yrs ago. At that time we lived .5 mile from the shop. Our 2 dogs have never not wanted to go in which has been the case when we lived in Denver and also in Los Angeles. Lisa is a very accommodating owner. She works hard and is very reasonable especially if you've got any concerns or questions. The dogs always look great! We only lived in Hoover for 1 year but continue to drive from Irondale on a regular basis because we are pleased with the service. She loves dogs and I'm always astounded they show no resistance to go in. And they love her too!

I called several places this morning to see if I could get my Great Pyrenees bathed, groomed, and hair cut with no availability. I contacted Classy Pup and they told me to bring her right in. The process took less than 3 hours, which is amazing for this breed of dog. The cost was right in line with everywhere else I've brought her to. Very friendly staff and they made my Great Pyrenees look wonderful!!! Thank you!!! I strongly recommend Classy Pup!!!

I had the best experience with Classy Pup. She was very professional, and did an awesome job grooming My puppy Gizzee'. She also has wonderful fragrances for puppies. I was very pleased, and I will definitely return for services in the future.

I have been taking Maxx to Classy Pup for least 6 years. Lisa is always professional and she does a wonderful job grooming Maxx. I have no worries when I drop off because I know when I pick him back up, he will well groomed and smells 10 times better. If you are looking for a professional dog groomer then Classy Pup is your place. I know it is mine!

I took my 3 month old puppy Arlo here today...it was fantastic! I didn’t have any issues with them. I called to see if they had any openings. They had someone cancel, so they said I could bring him. They were super nice to me and my lab/hound. They told me it could take 1-2 hours and LITERALLY 2 hours later they called me and said he was ready. I will definitely be going to them again. He was pampered and very well taken care of! Thanks girls for giving my puppy his first official bath! Also the bandana was a super cute touch!!

I have a very nervous and scared little 7 month Yorkie because of her past groomer. Bella Rose is a very difficult baby to deal with. Instead of saying she would not groom her again, Lisa is working with me and giving me recommendation to talk to her doctor about. That is amazing and shows she really loves what she does. Do not pay attention to any bad reviews. I'm hear to tell you that Lisa was in constant contact with me all day and even tho my baby was a terrior, she looked amazing. We will not use anyone else.

We rarely leave a review on google, but decided I would since we never received a call back from the owner. My family and I moved to the Hoover area earlier this month and decided to try this groomer out. The owner was very friendly and the staff was great at arrival. Once the doggy cut was complete we went home and didn’t think anything about looking for imperfections with the groomer’s work. Once we got home we noticed that he had been severely cut around his face and has been bleeding for a week since the cut. His haircut was also patchy and not cut to the standard we are accustomed to. The following week my wife tried multiple times to get I touch with the owner and was unable to get her on the phone or by visiting the salon. We spoke to her sister and left a message, and to no avail have we heard back. The haircut was around 65$ after tax and the matting fee. I as very disappointed in the lack of follow up and quality of work done. My dog still has scars on his face from the haircut. Please use this groomer with caution.I wish we could upload pictures but google will not allow. We tried to handle this in-house for the past week and a half, but have heard nothing back from the groomers.

If I could give Classy Pup zero stars, I would. I called and they said if I dropped my tiny dog off between 8am-10am they would fit her in. To my surprise when we arrived at 9:15am, they said she would be ready around 4Pm. This should have been the first red flag for me. At 4pm we drove to go pick her up. When we arrived, they said she would not be done until 5:30pm. My poor tiny pup had been put in a cage for over 8 hours! I can only pray they gave her water because when she got home she drank almost a whole bowl. She was one of the first dogs to arrive, but yet was the last dog they groomed. When I made the appointment they told me it would be $49. That sounded reasonable and fair. When we picked her up after asking for a teddy bear cut, her haircut looked awful. There are random clumps of hair that are twice as long as the other pieces. She still has hair in her eyes from the side where they gave her bangs? When a teddy bear cut does not have bangs on the sides. When she was picked up. It ended up being $60. Much more than they quoted me. If I were you, I would never ever bring your pet to this shop.

Lisa has been so patient with me. I had to cancel on her after her going to work my fur baby. I called her back and she set my baby up for today. I am so excited, I can’t take my eyes off of him he is so cute. My mother took care of my dog for many years and she would be crazy about his new look. I made a first attempt at an appointment for my two small poodle mixes on Friday 4/10 to be groomed on Saturday 4/11. Seemed easy enough. They asked me to have the dogs at the shop between 8-10a.My mother fell ill Friday night, and I immediately took her to the urgent care Saturday morning, which was the morning I was scheduled to bring the dogs in. With the current health pandemic plaguing our country, and specifically Jefferson county, I immediately focused on getting my mother the healthcare needed. Unfortunately, I failed to inform Classy Pup, and missed my appointments.I called this morning, Monday April 13th, and I apologized and tried to explain the predicament I was placed in on Saturday. Whomever I spoke with was extremely rude, and would not let me finish speaking without overpowering and overwhelming the conversation. She at some point mentioned I’m required to pre pay for both dogs (mind you I’ve never used their service and don’t know how I feel about prepaying), as well as for the appointments I missed? Because I didn’t give them a 24 hour notice? My mother fell ill the evening before the appointments were scheduled, it would be impossible to give a 24 hours notice for this.It was all very bizarre, and confusing. I’ve used the same groomer for five years, and she recently went out of business and moved states; I’m certain I can find another groomer to take care of my dogs’ needs, but it’s shameful Classy Pup is so tone deaf and belligerent. Terrible customer service. The lady I spoke to even hung up on me. Again, with COVID-19 shuttering businesses left and right, you would think Classy Pup would be happy with two new clients, but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case.

New to the area and first tried a chain pet store for grooming and they were terrible. On this next grooming I tried Classy Pup today and it was great. They shaved our Pomchi, she looked great and they listened to our requests to have a short tail trim and to leave her face whiskers which was very appreciated but most groomers forget when we specify that request. We did a bath and nail trim for our other dog. He looked and smelled great. They were friendly and really seemed to care and like interacting with the dogs. Pricing was very comparable to other places I have looked into. We will use them again.

I called ahead to ask if they could just trim my dogs nails bc I have a large breed, short haired dog that I can bathe easily. They said no problem, when we got there they talked my husband into getting the dog a bath also. Our dog wasn’t ready to be picked up for 4.5 hrs and they didn’t even trim his nails! So, I have spent far more than originally intended and I will need to spend more money to have his nails done somewhere else. Will not be returning.

I’ve taken my Shih Tzu several places in town and I knew the minute I dropped my puppy off we would continue to use Classy Pup. I know she takes care of my puppy and does a great job grooming him. I will not take my puppy anywhere else. Classy Pup will forever be my groomer.

I drive from Trussville to Hoover just to take my fur babies to Classy Pup. The owner is so attentive to my scheduling needs and loves my fur babies as if they were her own. I definitely recommend you making this your go-to groomer!

First impressions mean a lot, and my first impression was horrible. The business is located in the downstairs of a building which you access from behind the building. There is no sign indicating this at the front of the building. When I arrived I parked up front and opened the front door to find an abandoned filthy building. I quickly closed the door and ran back to my car. I almost left then, but decided to drive around behind the building. That is when I saw the downstairs door. The upstairs door should be locked with a sign instructing you to go around back. When you get inside everything looks dated, but that's not the problem. I dropped my dog off at 1030. I was told that she would be done around 2 possibly 3 but that I would receive a call 30 minutes before she was ready. I was also told that she would be taken out of the kennel to walk and for a potty break (although there's no grass for this that I saw). At 1:30 I called to check and was told that it would definitely be 3 but that she would call 30 minutes before she was done and she sounded aggravated that I called. At 230 my husband and I decided to leave to pick up some lunch before picking the dog up, and at 309 I still hadn't heard from her. At that point my dog had been there almost 5 hours so I just headed straight there. I got there and she was still working on my dog but only for about 5-10 more minutes after I got there even though I hadn't received a call that she was 30 minutes from being done. Almost as soon as my dog was on the floor she peed which leads me to believe she was never walked or taken out to potty. She was shaved WAY shorter than I asked for her to be. I asked for a simple trim and instead she was shaved with a #5 blade. The lady argued with me and told me that I told her to cut her short, which I did not do. I was also told that it would be 50$ and I was charged 55$. We will not be back here.
