This location IMO has come a long way the past few years. The staff is great and everyone is very friendly and helpful. I live like 2 minutes away now so I spend more time and money there then I should. They still don't give much cash for buy backs so I usually take the store credit. I figure I can find something I want eventually since you don't have to use it right then. I do wish they got more new releases in, especially in the music department.

I have visited the store before. Staff on floor great but staff checking in the books are more busy talking to each other than checking in the books. I have been here shopping for 2.5 hours. We do not live nearby so it is an hour to get to it. When we were done shopping our books still were not ready. Not given a time estimate. So when we were deciding what to do I see a young man scan a book that I knew was mine. So we waited however I can see him prop on box and talk to coworker. Not scanning while doing it. Very disappointed. Looked like he was more interested in her than the job.

I visited this bookstore for the first time and instantly fell in love with it. The arrangement is impeccable, and I was able to find all the books I was looking for. The staff's generosity added to the wonderful experience.♥️♥️♥️

This store is so cool! Its like a Barnes and Noble but they have way more stuff! Like non-book stuff! Video games, guitars, records and record players, tones of anime and manga stuff etc! Will definitely go again!

Always wonderful but beware they are now mixing new books with second hand and no more free book bin. But fabulous bookstore. Wish they had more Judica. I always jump at the idea of coming just to load up. I will go back before leaving town.

Staff helped me find the book I needed, and since there were several copies.tyey helped me decide which one to get.I was surprised that they were selling some quick print copies, which may have inaccuracies. An employee pointed them out to me and told me what to look for, and I'm glad to have that knowledge for the future. I'm just not sure why they sell them at all.

AWESOME place, has everything a book, music, &movie lover could ever want! Even have a large Lego area& other kids items, as well as all sorts of electronics; from phones, cameras to gaming controllers!!! I definitely recommend this place for unusual finds, however pricing is a bit high for used items and overly priced for new items! That's the only downfall:/Most all of the new items they carry can be purchased online or at other retailers for the same or even lower prices... They sell new books at the suggested retail price, yet the store is advertised as a "discount" store.Aside from the pricing downfall, it's a great store for ALL AGES! Parents can browse as kid's (I'd say 7-8yo& up)... can sit in the little movie area& either watch a new released movie or play with the toys that are in the area! Bored spouses, friends, etc. can sit back& relax in several of the sitting areas...which are actually comfortable, unlike BAM& others, who only have metal benches!

I always love 2nd and Charles. I love how they carry so much anime stuff, as well as I love their trade in program. I've been able to turn in so many various items for store credit over the years. I LOVE that we're able to repurpose stuff instead of trashing it. This place will have my business for a long time!

Really cool place with so many throwback items. Some of the prices are much higher than they should be on a lot of items but you can also find some very good deals if you take a good look around. If you are looking for vinyl records they have a huge selection.

On paper 2nd & Charles is a bookstore but once you get inside it's so much more than that. I'd call it a more if a thrift store. They sell a bit of everything; books, used and retro games / consoles, DVDs, and even some clothes. The place is awesome!

I’m from out of state and I always make it a mission to stop by and look around. Be careful though, you can get stuck looking for hours! :)Really though, there’s something for just abour everyone. Even sports fans!By far one of my favorite stores.

Enough with texts for coupons, takes time in line. Coffee for troops is excess stock from Joe Muggs rebought and is just a charity write off come taxes for this company. PROFITS NOT CHARITY. Same for book sale for charity. Rebuying THEIR Books (profit) to get write off. School has to even pick up "donated books" themselves . Sick. Stores owned by same company are hate-filled. Pro conservative books are put under "true crime". Evil.

Great selection of new and used. One of my favorite places to wander around. Checkout is usually a slow process so make sure you give yourself plenty of time if you have somewhere to be.

I do not recommend their “buy back,” program. Instead, donate your used books to a library or a place that can use them. I dropped off several great, popular books in nice condition. Many were fairly new, professional development books that are still being purchased and used today. For the 16 books they wanted to keep, they offered me $3. I would much prefer to give them away to someone who could use them.

Going here is an experience. There are many shelves spanning across many genres, and I haven't mentioned the best part. You can sell books and movies to 2nd & Charles for in-store credit, or cash (less value than store credit.) I wish they kept the video game couch, but I understand that it probably was high maintenance. Lovely store.

This place is really big and cool, but it's kind of overwhelming and hard to navigate. I wish they would separate the used items from the new items because one book will be like $10 dollars and another of the same ones, in a different condition, will be like $6, so it would be easier to know when you're getting a deal. The people that work here are cool and the store is very clean. I brought books in to sell and that process what very easy. I will say about the books though, I brought in like 25 books but only got $7 cash or $13 store credit for them. I thought that was pretty wacky when one of the books I gave them, they had on shelves for $11.50. I understand having to make profit but at that point was it even worth it to bring my books to you? I could sell them myself. I know I sound a bit passive aggressive to this place because it is nice, but I just feel like it could be better. I know this place makes a lot of money so I dont know why it sells used books at full value but wont pay you good enough for the books they'll make a good penny on over some time. Anyway, it is a great book store because theres a LOT to choose from. Its half second hand, half new. So some good prices, some not. I do recommend going though.

Went in to only get a gift card. The store was Busy! The line for the cashier was all the way out to the shopping area but in just a couple of minutes our purchase was complete and we were on our way out. Very speedy and friendly employees.

WIDE selection of used and new books. What you can't find, the staff will find for you. All kinds of knick knacks and all kinds of stuff. They even have used electric and acoustic guitars and other musical instruments and CDs etc. 🎸 Something for all ages there. Really cool store and staff.

Will never ever visit this store again. The service was bad and their book buy-back price was a joke. The books I presented did not have ripped covers and were not bent unlike many of the ones on the store shelves. We had some of the same authors and they wanted anywhere from $4 to $6 for an individual used book while they wanted to give me roughly $6.25 in cash or a $12.50 store credit for the two plus boxes that I brought.

Great location. They have a long wait for trade in books. But you have to drop them off and go back for your store credit.
